@@OvensGarage balancer/dampener just won't budge was prying on it for an hour the other night so I picked up a jaw style puller hopefully will come apart tomorrow. This stuff definitely has never been apart in the trucks 30 years of existence. There's so much oil caked on the front of the block at the bottom you don't realize it until everything is out of the way I don't know how because it wasn't indicating that on the dipstick.
Hey Tyler, appreciate all of these videos. Been super helpful on my 1990 w250. Wanted to ask about the mahale gasket for this versus the Cummins. [edit] bought the Cummins gasket and seal with wear sleeve. Much better fit than the mahle version.
I don’t think It was an issue on our first gens. My 93 has 356k miles on it. Mine has a good detent to it. It pops back and stays there. Did people have issues if the didn’t get the timing pin reset all the way maybe. Good video as always.
The pin can back out. But you got as good a chance as getting struck by lightning. The question is what’s piece of mind worth vs. current engine condition/age and costs. For my case I’ll roll the dice

Just did mine. Actually a very simple process. My entire engine inside and out is insanely clean.
Love watching all your first gen videos.
They are very detailed. Keep them coming 👍🏽
More to come! Thanks for watching!
Tyler I really enjoy your channel and watching your content. You have given me multiple ideas on things I need to do.
Thanks for watching!
You don't use the loctite sealer on the seal that has the red sealer already on it unless you want to have a leak
Awesome video, we are just about to do this on our 1992 Cummins
Good luck hopefully the video serves as a good guide! Cheers.
Thank you sir. Excellent work as always.
Cheers!
Great video. Short as possible with hitting every point.
Thank you!
Awesome video I'll get around to this at some point should've been done by now, but little bit by little bit. Mine has just over 200,000 kms.
It's a big job and definitely been on my list for a while...just picking away at it one by one!

Hey, I have the same paint scheme as you, and I’m trying to find the paint codes for it. Do you know what they are by chance?
Dark blue spectrum metallic. Shoot me an email and I'll send you a pic of the paint can
@@OvensGarage No no not the blue one. I have the red/white two-tone lol.
@@mementomori2353 oh haha. Colorado red and bright white. The red is HE4, not sure about the white never bought it
