    Very timely video. My diesel mechanic told me it was a job I could do. His interval was longer (100-125k), but I've seen every interval under the sun. I'm at my 125k and this video popped up!! LOL If it only takes 30 minutes, why not do it more often! Two thumbs up!

    Hey great video. Do you know of any website where I can get some smoked/blacked out tail lights for my 91 w350?

    • @decentgarage
      @decentgarage  4 года назад +1

      That's a tough one. Geno's garage and lmc both sell tail lights but I don't think either of them have a smoked option. The best way to do it is mix black paint with clear coat and just give them as many coats as you need till they are dark enough.

    • @Valve-sb7ne
      @Valve-sb7ne 4 года назад +1

      decent_1st_gen ok, I think I have seen where people do that. I have been looking at ones on far from stock, but those are really expensive for smoked tail lights, but maybe I just need to deal with it, because I really can't find them anywhere else. I find a bunch of stock tail lights, which I don't have an issue with, but my truck is black and silver, and I think the smoked lights would look better. Thanks for replying, I appreciate it!

      @@decentgarage I'm appreciate the video you did a great job but there were some mistakes that I could be critical they are critical for one what is the true clearance on the adjustments on both intake and exhaust valves? I took notes the whole while so I could do my 97 12 valve and I noticed mistakes and I thought I'm going to have to watch a different video somewhere else to make sure that I don't go under the hood and make all this work to find out that I adjusted the valves are to the wrong clarence's I don't have that kind of time and besides it could be critical damage to someone I hope you go back and straighten this video out you did an excellent job otherwise but some of the valves are messed up the sequence on which valve to adjust when number 1 cylinder is TDC and number six is TDC it doesn't match out this is a critical mistake! :-( install is the valve adjustment mistake critical and could definitely cause some serious damage if someone watched your your video I wonder how many guys screwed up their engines? I mean 1,000 clearance they may be messed up some pushrods I'm not trying to give you a hard time here but before you post a video to thousands or millions of people on how to fix their stuff you better edit it and make sure it's right. We all make mistakes that's why we've got to go over our work again and again and make sure it's correct how many people screwed up their engines in Faraway remote places?. I've got to go somewhere else for my information now because there were too many mistakes on this video Sirius critical engine damaging mistakes

      So what is the right clearance. And now I still don't know the proper valve lash. Otherwise he did a good job on the video the people have to edit their s*** to get it right when you're talking blowing up your engine! Over nonsense. If I would have adjusted those valves 1.000 clearance when the metal got hot it could have been direct serious damage metal-to-metal with no tolerance. There's not much there in tappet clearances to begin with! Those settings are quite critical adjust them too tight not only is your engine not going to run but it's going to run very badly and cause damage quickly
