Power windows and your radio randomly cutting out? Watch this!
It's a common issue with 98-02 fbodies that in the body control module, one if the solders over time deteriorates and causes a horrible connection cause you to lose power to your windows and radio at random. It's aggravating and really just a luck of the draw as to when they decide to work again. Here's the fix. If I can do it, anyone can because as you can see in the video, I am in no way shape, or form an expert with soldering. Let me know if this helps you and if you encounter other issues. Thanks for watching.

Little late getting this done but, for our anniversary this year my wife and I along with our great friends Sydney and Jake took a road trip to Colorado. We had an absolute blast! I didn't video much of the trip, I don't do much of my personal life on here but, We did document the ride back. We visited their family and Jake got to bring home a truck he grew up with, a 93? So mostly this is me talking and explaining what exactly we had going on. Car did exceptionally well despite this slight mistake on my part. Nothing broke, car went straight and moved out. It's my fault because I had the converter built hoping I'd have the car at a certain weight but, we're just not there yet so that extra weight is hurting us. For all your transmission and converter needs chec...

Took the car out and did some testing a few weekends ago, I'm late on posting this but it's been rough this week. Car did alot better than I thought it would and finally found the limits of some of the stock suspension parts (If anyone wants to donate some adjustable lowers, that'd be cool) but, hopefully this #trickchassis ARB will get us back where we need to be. We set a PB for motor pass as...

What year was the vehicle I don't know why people don't tell you what year the vehicle is there's like several videos but they're not telling you the year that is not the 88
@charleshoward9264 mines an 86 but this applies to all the first gen 4runners with the IFS lol.
Would you recommend a Term X for LS swap into a 4th gen factory V6 Firebird? Looking for the easiest/best solution for wiring a swapped car that will allow gauges and A/C to work.
@msh6865 I would personally especially on a swap because it eliminates the need for having to have someone tune it and all that. Everything as far as accessories will be the same as mine but the gauges will be more difficult to get to work if your wanting to stay factory gauges. If your wanting them to work, stay with the stock ecu. It's still gonna be wiring the same sensors and everything just hp tuners is expensive and very difficult to learn lol
Man is there anyway you can help me out here I have a stand alone harness and need to connect my fender plugs ..I don’t have a Holley though .. would I still ground them ?
@EricAtkinsonMusic if I'm not mistaken the ones I grounded you'll still ground
@ ok I’ll try it out man .. what about all the pink wires
@EricAtkinsonMusic all the pink wires are just 12v ignition power wires. You can just leave those in the plug and tuck the plugs away like I did lol
@@Ls1ears so all those pink wires I don’t need hooked up at all ?
@EricAtkinsonMusic to my knowledge no unless your looking for something to power on with the key
Did the exact same dipstick tube on a 2011 Silverado 2500. Same everything, never had to cut anything, never dropped anything. I just removed the head shield on the side of the trans, dropped the tube down the back, slide right in the hole, bolted everything back up
@josephlawrence7661 if I'm not mistaken the 2500 has just enough room to make the turn
You got other socials? I've got a couple of questions about your install
I do, TransAmWillingham on Instagram
ASD Relay...?
@Kettenhund75 if your talking about why it still dont work, it actually ended up being the computer itself. Had a buddy with one on the shelf, hooked it up and we where golden. Fixed alot of issues actually
Have you made any progress with the seats??
Tbh I haven't touched them just been riding 😂😂
Think i used a chisel for the nut!
Chisel on the ridges. Dang/New GREASE? THINK I REPLACED THESE ROTORS SOMETIME. EITHER THE BEAR INGS WAS NEEDED REPLACED ORRRRRR DID I OVER TIGHTEN? I CAN FEEL AND HEAR IT/BY HAND. NOW DOES MY BRO N LAWER HAVE THE 54MM? GTEAT VIDEO? GOT ANY SKITTER SPRAY?
What groove
If your asking about the groove to pry it apart, idk if it had been done by the previous owner or if it came that way but mine had a spot to stick a screw driver or small pry bar in it to get it apart
To get it started that is
What wire under the dash? Mine won’t start
@patrickshelton5255 if I remember right I think it'll be in the center console going to the neutral safety switch, orange and black wire...If I remember right

Glad I could help!

Congrats on having a little you!! Glad to see this car stretching its legs! Hopefully we can get a grudge match together this summer 😎
We'll get something going but I get left lane 😂😂😂 but thanks bro!
Testing with E85, couldn’t hear if our car was breaking up so he let out 😅 Glad to see your car making some moves! 🚗💨
Hey brother, just figured I would reach out to you. I’ve been making a lot of headway with this Holly set up. I wasn’t sure if you ever went through and were able to connect your factory Fuel level cinder signal to your pro dash or not? If not holler at me I can tell you exactly how to do it! Easy using plugs C230, Pin G to ground, then Pin J to I/O 7 pin 21 on pro dash. Go into setting and set that pin to custom OHMs, then set ohm load from 33(E)-240(F)ohm. Then adjust the numbers between 33 and 240 accordingly and that’s it!
I did! I think I got it in the holley video after this one lol. But I greatly appreciate you thinking of me and making sure!!
Promo'SM 😴
Heck yea man! Thanks for the shoutout, unfortunately I don’t make helpful videos like you haha.
Anytime! I'm sure you'll have some of that wicked car you got tho lol.
Great information man, I appreciate it it big time
Anytime! If there's something I missed or didn't cover feel free to let me know! I'm doing another holley related video Monday and Tuesday, hopefully have it up by Friday
How much of the auto tuning are you letting the car do compared to adjustments you’re making? Keep up the videos!
I'll try! I let it do some to get a base idle and a small drive and then we cut all that and started doing it ourself. I got a buddy teaching me tuning and all that
Great video and very informative. I do have a question regarding a couple of the wires you mentioned underneath the passenger side fender. He said that they needed to be grounded, if hooked to the Holly harness which they have the two plugs for them do you still need to ground them?
Thank you. That I'm not sure. I'd imagine it'd work since essentially that's all the factory ecu does is send a ground signal like, say the neutral safety switch is in park, it's sending a voltage to the ecu telling it to complete the circuit by sending the ground (if I was understanding it all correctly 😅)
Thank you brother, I appreciate the help.
@Wrensspeedshop anytime. If there's anything else just let me know and if I don't know I'll try to figure it out lol
The wires in the factory harness that you grounded out, did those need to be grounded because of the Holley system and you took out the factory harness?
@Wrensspeedshop yes and no. The fuel pump ground and those things are because the factory ecm no longer exist, the others are for the body control module I believe. Basically tricks the bcm/factory relays saying the stock computer is meeting the parameters to allow the other things to work lol
This gotta be the funniest video ever good job and you had a great pov of the 5x12
Preciate it! Watching this now, 2 years later, I don't see how I did this job because I was toasty 😅😅 but 2 years later the injectors are still doing injector things 😂😂
@@Ls1ears what performance did you get from them were you happy with the power?
@@carsonalexander9602 o definitely. They definitely woke the truck up
Thanks again dude, This will also help me a ton.
I'm glad! What I'm here for lol
@@Ls1ears just to clarify pin G you grounded? Also, from your previous video you grounded the orange/black for the trunk to work but that was probably from the white connector?
@@TheDevin918 correct pin g should be sensor return so it's grounded and the orange and black I believe is on the white connector, runs to the neutral safety switch on the shifter.
@@Ls1ears Does your dash restart whenever you actually start your car? Example: you have key on, dash comes on, then say 5 seconds later you actually start it, does the dash restart also?
@TheDevin918 yessir. It's an fbody thing. I've thought about running the key on through a toggle straight to the battery to keep it from that but haven't yet
Thank you. Please do a video on the Holley setup.
What all would you like to see? Lol
Hey man 👋🏼 new to the channel, cant wait to see more Question, what size is your shop ?

@TheDevin918 awesome!! Glad I could help
I just picked up a terminator x for my 98 z28. Cannot wait
I promise you won't regret it! Cool thing on the 98s, there's a few write ups on how to get your fuel gauge to work still where the 99 up can't be done unless you piggyback the stock ecu

daamnnn I wish I could break doing 2nd gear wheelies 😮

Wanna trade injector harnesses?
Thanks but I already did 😂
I might’ve missed it in the video, I heard you talking about the starter, but where does the other end of the pink/purple signal wire for the starter go? One end attaches to the starter, but where does the other end of that wire go? I clipped it off of one of my LS pcm harness’s but not sure where to wire it to on the Holley or trans am fuse/relay harness
I plugged mine right back in but I think it goes to the fuse box? I didn't trace it back honestly I just pulled that side out of the harness. It was completely separate from everything that went to the computer
@@Ls1ears I have the main relay/fuse block harness that is normally in the engine bay completely out of the car, I’m trying to take everything not needed out of the harness and I want to put it inside the car behind the dash. I’m fairly certain that the purple starter trigger wire isn’t part of that harness, I think it’s part of the engine/trans harness. I just want to be able to use the key on the column to start the car
@ZeusCannonsZombies I'll have to go out and double check mine and see where it runs because I don't rightly remember lol. Give me just a bit
@@Ls1ears sounds good, thank you very much
@@ZeusCannonsZombies yessir not a problem

I searched forever trying to gather it all up. Glad I could help! I'll have more on when I get a prodash on how to wire all it in with the fuel gauge ect.
@Ls1ears cool thanks. I might have some questions about some other things too.

I’m currently doing a swap on my 2wd 1990 Cummins. Running Into some issues with my crossmember. I cut it exactly like you did in this video, but it makes the tranny sit way too high. It won’t even begin to fit under the truck. I don’t see any way to make it lower unless I move the crossmember further back on the tail shaft. Any suggestions?
Hmmm that's a tricky one. I mean it might not be ideal but you might could build like spacer blocks and try to drop the crossmember down some and bring it all in. Mine was just bolt up and go and it still sit at a slight downward angle. I wouldn't think the crossmembers would be different
Hey so I’m having this problem with my 2nd gen it’s a 5.9 Cummins and when I’m driving the tachometer just goes to 0 and stays like that then the truck won’t start when I turn it off is there like a sensor I can buy to fix that?
I'm gonna say I'm not sure with that one. I don't know much about 2nd gens but that almost sounds like something going funky with something to do with ignition. Again, I'm not 2nd gen guy but of their like the 1st gens, you can run them without the ecm so I wouldn't think it be a sensor but then again, I'm not entirely sure
🤣🤣 posting again finally I see
Yessir slowly but surely lol
Short and sweet.
Yessir that's how I try to keep them
What yr is ur truck mine's a 91 an the crank sensor looks different
