@@mho...I don’t really care if it does. I’ll hold out a little while, see how it looks. Then buy it to support the game, even if it’s not perfect on release.
Lots of games take ages to be released these days, if a company decides to release it a bit early and add free updates to make the game more fun each time, I can respect it. I just would prefer they be upfront about it, so we can temper our expectations.
the choice of using alt j just adds to the trailer so much and just really makes the world come to life. so excited for the release (:
I have a feeling the story is going to lean heavily into a pre-space exploration No Mans Sky prequel, and im all here for it.

@@solace2731 I think it should have a story. Or more, something like deep lore that you discover while adventuring
The fact that the same team who created a universe are daunted by the idea of making a single planet is a very, very good thing. That's a sign that they're aiming for density on a much smaller scale, despite that scale still being so much bigger than what anyone else has ever pulled off
Fine point. Hello Games in 2030 is probably gonna make a detailed procedural simulation of one city block, but it's gonna be incredible!
The "The Sims" we have always dreamed of
Probably because NMS is still a void of content. The planets have maybe 3-4 10 minute activities each and occasionally some pretty landscapes. Of course they’re daunted by an actual RPG.
@@loglog7 True. It gets old quite fast. But irrationally you always want more. Exploration unlimited. Unhinged.
@@loglog7nms isn't void of content, the planets are... if you focus only on the planets than yeah, but thats most space games

At the end of Alt-J song there are french vocals from Alfred de Musset’s poem 'L'espoir en Dieu' saying "'une immense espérance a traversé la terre, une immense espérance a traversé ma peur'" wich mean "an immense hope has crossed the earth, an immense hope has crossed my fear'.

Orcs? Ogres? 😅
I can not begin to tell you how much I agree with this. It's the only reason I have so much attachment to ChimeraLand despite its lack of polish.
Also, the bunny people look cute in this game. Ever since F.I.S.T., I've always kinda liked realistic bunny anthros.
Hard agree. Shame they added humans though. Got to appeal to basic normies, I guess.

Yet I doubt they are making an actual MMO with potentially 100s of people in the same world.
While Hello Games has done well with the redemption of No Man's Sky... it is best to curb ones hype, and stay humble with what to expect from their games. I feel it is a safer way to approach Hello Games.
¡Zico!
They have proven time and time again that they care deeply about their game, and are passionate about how we experience it. I will buy this without regret, even if I do not enjoy it as much as NMS
I hope this gives me that same joy of exploration as NMS but on more of a micro scale. Huge ranges of mountains...vast oceans, places that feel like a feat to explore and overcome. An environment that serves as a canvas that we can build outposts, watchtowers and cities in.

What I’m hoping for most is a world that encourages exploration with good rewards, and some kind of engaging story. If they can pull off both of those this game will be incredible
Gameplay matters more IMO. if the combat, the building, the survival systems are all clunky, theres no way to deliver a good story, or push people to explore. im really hoping, that this being a fantasy game, that HelloGames are looking at other entries in the series and drawing some inspiration for the Systems they are gonna implement.
I agree. Needs special touches! Exploration and peaking of ones curiosity. Elden Ring did this extremely well imo.

A testament to the growth of the studio. I personally believe the difference maker will be how strong their hand crafted content is.
It’s still procedurally generated
@@AaronElijah I think they mean that the handcrafted parts that are combined and reused in the procedural generation. The models, NPC's, flora and fauna, story.

I think the difference will be in how committed they are about making and keeping the game stable on every platform.
I like that the fact they are sticking to what they are good at and hopefully improving on (Larian studios did the same and we know how that turned out this year), I am genuinely excited for this! I can see this being a huge improvement from NMS for the simple reason it's just one world which they can build on density.

Hello games is a great example for bigger studios to recognize what fans of games actually want, dedication to improving the game after release. If EA or Ubisoft put this kind of effort into a major IP, they'd absolutely dominate and redeem their tarnished reputation.
I don't believe EA or Ubisoft developers don't put a ton of effort into their work. I just think that there's an issue where non-creatives are overly involved in the development process. Sean is the Founder/CEO of Hello Games while being a major creative involved in every project. There's no non-creatives or non-gamers at HG and no-one to crush their spirit (except us). The main issue in AAA studios is terrible leadership that smother creativity to justify their existence. That and shareholders who prioritize short-term gains.
Uhhhh I do NOT want a game improved after release… I want the full, complete package out the gate. Is that really so hard to ask?

absolutely beautiful! Cant wait to play this!!
I wanna play right now!!! im so freaking excited for this game!!!
Sean and Team will always have my support after the way the turned round NMS. This looks amazing guys!
thats fair but lets hope its not another NMS launch
Facts. They are real devs that care about their games. Unlike EA and Activision. These are the kinds of gaming companies we need to support.
Agree 100% @@martinmccarthy3675
What the type that lie? @@martinmccarthy3675
@@martinmccarthy3675 lolll
Whoa! The art, the characters, the mounts, the environments. Just simply epic. It’s absolutely beautiful. Best of all it’s multiplayer? You nailed it. I want this now!
yeah me 2
Lol.....they said NMS was mp before launch, too
@@theh0lybible
Yeah, I'm sure they're dumb enough to make that mistake again.... 🙄
@@Thirty-Ninety lol, time shall tell
More like it HAS multiplayer. But I hope its not a multiplayer game.
Now that I played Enshrouded, this seems similar, but with flying mounts and much bigger.
"The Hinger of Pine", impressive!! The music of my childhood lol
From the VGAs, this was without a doubt the most impressive thing I saw. I'm thrilled these guys are taking a winning formula to a fantasy setting. I'm all in
They stuck with NMS for 7 years turning it into what it is. Small studio too which makes it more impressive. Now I hope this brings them a lot of success and they turn this into something even more amazing!
OR it took them 7 years to make the game they promised
@@TheTwofatgamers More this than anything. Guess NMS was just over 7 years too early.
@@TheTwofatgamers nah because they never promised all of that. they already fulfilled that condition in the 2nd year
NMS, as in No Man’s Sky? I never played it.
@@TheTwofatgamers they added far more than what was promised. No man's sky was originally made by less than 20 people, and for that it's amazing considering how shockingly awful starfield is with a bigger budget and team. Sure they overshot it a little, probably over excited with their project but they learned their lesson with the backlash.
With the knowledge they gained and lessons learned, they can focus all that onto one planet. I'm hoping it's gonna be great, especially with friends
Another game from Hello Games! This looks really fun, focusing on one planet and its history. I hope you guys have a wonderful time and have more fun while developing it. Late happy new year and I hope you guys at the studio have a wonderful day!
saw this when it first released and looks like you can play as a rabbit person. Had me sold immediately. I WILL be buying this game.
Did you spot the otter person underwater? :D
@@jenni6259 you can be an otter person too?
This looks amazing, and whoever on the team picked Alt-J for the song I love you.
EPIC
Seeing how far they've come with NMS compared to its initial release makes this game very promising. Even if it's not everything we hope for or expect at the beginning, we no they're 100% capable of making it better over time.
No! Bad gamer! Bad! **sprays you with water**
You guys never learn.
@@fernandofaria2872 NMS became absolutely amazing and they never charged for updates or DLC like every other company out there. HG really has been amazing.
You mean that a game studio isn't supposed to shut down 4 days after they release it if the reviews are bad?
@@mattiej2311 you're not dense, huh?
@@marcusbruns9729 what
I can't wait to play this. Next trailer please 😀
I'll play this along with No Man's Sky and keep alternating between the two depending on my mood! You guys are the best and have earned a huge pool of loyal fans!
After the (eventual) epic success of NMS, Hello Games is now one of the few game developers I trust to deliver. I can't wait to explore this world.
NMS was great after 10 years but this studio is famous terrible launches. Don't pre-order and wait for launch reviews to make sure you're not waiting for this to become good in 2030.
@@MrHighRaw The NMS disaster was in large part Sony's fault. Hello Games as a very inexperienced studio at the time, and Sony encouraging them to overhype to the point of lying was totally on them. A better publisher would have talked some sense into them.
@@MrHighRaw They have like 4 games (not counting mobile) released right now. 3 of those games seem to be smaller side projects with little negativity attributed to their respective launches. You, sir, have no idea what you are talking about.
Ahahaha, it is precisely because of NMS and then Cyberpunk that we all learned not to trust any developer. Well, apparently there are still several fo.o.l.s left...
@@Actkqk3 i never went back to cyber punk but i did return to NMS. to each their own.
HG have spent countless hours of effort over the years shaping what NMS is today. Incredible to see they're taking it up a notch, definitely looking forward to seeing more of this title
unlucky that they didnt decide to realease a fully fledged game the first time, surprised to hear that youre giving them the benefit of the doubt for literally no reason
@@Gunsforbuns what do mean no reason? He literally said the reason why. 😂
@@Gunsforbunsthis wins most retarded comment of the year 😂😂😂😂😂
i dont trust them, absolute scumbag liars who just polished their turd.
@@GunsforbunsTbh i like it more than if it was the full game cause when these kind of updates get realeased it makes me come back to it.
They built 18.6 quintillion unique planets in No Man's Sky. Now imagine that they used all that resources on ONE single planet.
So hyped for the game. You guys are the best hello games :D
(Yeah yeah I know there's like 50 planet types max but the idea sounds cool, doesn't it? And still, 50 isn't a small number, you know)
Well when this is released I know what game I will be playing for a long time.
Great choice to have Alt-J as the musical foundation to the teaser. Excited to see this new leap in open world gaming.
Such a perfect song for this
Was wondering what that was. Love the groove.
That's what I said!
My fave alt j song
These chaps have more than proven themselves as great game devs imo, who care about their fanbase well over. Looking forward to supporting this!
Looks marvelous, I hope the game turns out well!
I can't wait for this. Looks amazing and I expect to go wandering for thousands of miles leaving a trail of abandoned 'forever' homes behind me. It would be *very* cool if constructs started to decay into ruins if no players had been around them for a long time. Imagine five years down the line coming across the tumbled ruins of someone's 'lets make a giant phallus' in the middle of a desert. Or if we could leave stone tablets describing our travels, findings and what direction we went when we picked up and left. I am excited to play.
That final logo reminds me of the Atlas in No Mans Sky. I really wonder what kind of lore they are building behind this game. Looks amazing.
Saaame
I'm imagining some kind of prelude to NMS with maybe some history/origins on the various races and aliens. All speculation of course but it looks good.
I feel like it might have ties, but it might not be the usual type. You know how 40k warhammer and warhammer age of sigmar share tons of stuff but arent really connected? maybe that.
My head canon is this is just the world Artemis lives on in Polos sim ;) We're still in that blasted atlas! XD
If you actually read up on the lore for Warhammer the two are actually directly connected, but not in the way you'd expect. Age of Sigmar is actually the future of the 40k verse after the Warp basically ravages the universe.@@hammy9906
I love how when the trailer *really* gets started, you emerge from the water - just like in the No Man's Sky reveal trailer!! I was hyped for NMS when it was announced and although it wasn't quite the game promised at launch, I still thoroughly enjoyed it for what it was. Then I went back after some of the updates and saw how much the game improved and was really proud of the developers. Light No Fire looks like they took everything they learned from their NMS experiences and created something that will be so much fun to play with friends day 1.
It wasn't a game a launch lol It was barely a tech demo. Did we play the same game?
“Wasn’t quite the game promised at launch” understatement of the year
Once again setting the bar and pushing the envelope, cant wait for this game!
This is so much bigger than just a new Open World.
No Man's Sky, will be remembered as one of these games that were ahead of their time.
And Light No Fire...well either it'll be once again too much ahead of its time, or maybe, the devs will this time, make the game evolve with its community, which I think is part of the whole idea behind it as well. The Metaverse isn't quite the thing its supposed to be just yet, but every now and then, we are witnessing pioneers of our future, working hard to achieve the true vision we all have.
It's like watching giant pieces of a puzzle come together as time goes by.
