I appreciate seeing another RUclips channel that actually treats 10mm with respect and gives credibility to the caliber instead of acting like 10mm is only a niche round. In my opinion, 10mm is actually a beast of a round, it has a rather flat trajectory, plenty of power, and some very impressive ballistic performance. It seems almost as if 10mm can do it all and is almost perfect in every way, but that's just my opinion though.

It's all about breaking bones and incapacitation not bleeding out. 10 mm, more rounds. Hard cast, flat faced with frac capability. Chest rig and spray. When you're face down, hoping she's going to let go, spray had a way of making you taste bad. The best way to survive a bear encounter is to not have one!

I personally think 9mm+P+, 40+P, 357 mag, 45+p and 10mm are all great choices. Bullet type seems to me to be far more important than the caliber of the weapon.

When I was in Alaska about a decade ago, our guide had 3 guns with him. A 10mm 1911, a S&W .500 and a 12ga loaded with solid copper slugs. He said he preferred the 10mm because of the capacity. That’s mostly what he carried while we were fishing. He actually fired a warning shot when a bear got too close. That bear high tailed it away from the creek and we went back to the seaplane lol

In practical terms and or situations, truth of the matter is the Best gun to have is the one you are packing when you need it. No BS, just be armed. Enough said...

I went in to this video wanting the .357 mag to win as I’m a huge fan of that cartridge. But I’d take the 10mm based on those tests.

My Glock 40 has jammed several times. If that happens, when a grizzly is charging your dead, you won't have 2 seconds to try to clear it. Plus you will never get more than one or two shots off on a charging grizzly so capacity means nothing. You need something that'll take it down with one or two shots and and NEVeR jam and that is a 44 Magnum.

41 Mag, because I don't have a 10mm. I do have a 357 Mag and have carried it for turkey season back east as well as during bow season in case of a black bear encounter.

Another great video and I am a .357 guy

Clearly waiting 14 weeks for a 7 inch KKM barrel is well worth the wait. If being attacked One could get twice as many rounds of with the Glock than with the revolver, unless you are Jerry Miculek.Thank you for this up load.Nice Job.

After watching you and Chuke I went to the G40. I’ve got both hard cast and penetrators. I really like the penetrators. This is rapidly becoming my favorite handgun especially for hunting and hiking.

For me the 10mm with heavy hard cast would be the way to. I cast so I would be able to match the load and practice with the same power ammo for much cheaper that would slow me more practice. Plus I know how well I shoot a revolver compared to how well I shoot a semi.

10mm, because I have a Springfield XDM 5.25. If I was on a vehicle I would probably take with my Ithaca with slugs or my Kel-Tek RFB with lake city .308.

Another excellent video Chuck. You know I am a fan of the .357 mag, but 16 rounds of 10mm would be fine for me too.

I chest carry a S&W TRR8 during hunting season in Wyoming and other states, where I'm likely to encounter anything interested in gettin' a chunk-o'-my-ass. Eight .357 Magnum handloads of 158 gr. Nosler Jacketed Handgun bullets moving at about 1580 ft/ps, is more than enough to convince both four and two legged menaces that they may have just made the worst decision of what's left of their lives.
