@@acevaptsarov8410 Indeed .. I feel they got lots of things right - evolution of sky scrappers + lights, corporations growing, the side effects of over-using oil for energy messing the planet, the asians taking over so to speak ( they seem the dominant race in the movie), evolution of genetic manipulation, some sort of smart phones etc. They missed some big ones too - we never space traveled, colonized anything in space OR had flying cars.
Alien, Aliens, and Bladerunner are probably the only 80's sci-fi movies that aged real well. You can still watch them as they are without being disconnected by the fact that they were made some 30 plus years ago. The production value can top most of the sci-fi we see today. Very nice edit. Brought back some good movie memories. Thank you, HD Film Tributes.
What happened 1980? I travelled to america and celebrated my tenth birthday in empire state building. My mother bought me and my brother brand new bicyles.1982? I was on sixth grade ,the highest in our village school before travellng to town school at 13 I watched Dune in the cinema in Helsinki with my cousins when it came out. When I was 16 in 1986 I had my first girlfriend Annika and I made a hit on our teacher E. A couple of our friends and I stole a car went to the disco and crashed it in a tight tight turn to the left. At 16 I also got my 125 cc motorcycle licence. In 1987 I got my first job and in 1988 I began studing again and manufactured my first steel tools. In 1989 my third cousins from the US came to visit us and 1990? "Sommaren i city nittonhundra nitti kommer du ihag mej?"
I went to see this movie twice within a week after it came out. Seeing this movie on the big screen in a movie theatre with the equivalent of surround sound in 1982 simply cannot be expressed. The visuals combined with the sound track was like looking through a portal into the future. Still gives me goosebumps.
Sean Young never looked better than in this great film. Her beautiful face, dress, hair were perfect. Wonderful to see hee reprised in the newest movie.
It's funny because last Sunday, I finally decided to watch Blade Runner. After the film, I wondered if there was a video that you made about the film, and yes there was one but from many years ago...
'A Time of Quiet Between the Storms' by Hans Zimmer for Dune part 2 will go down in history just like 'Love Theme' by Vangelis for Blade Runner. I just saw Dune 2 in IMAX, and my god I miss Vangelis 🥺
Thank you for transporting me back to the wonder I felt when I watched this movie when it came out, back in 1982. Also, thank you for opposing the Pied Viper. You'd think he'd be transparent to a ten year old. So much for the Myth Of Human Intelligence! Thanks again. Cheers
One of the best SCI-FI films of all tribe of not the best.. Hasn't been neutered.... Since... The first 3 Star Wars movies that babe out..Rp 4-6..... Are the same.... Diaries. Everything came together. Why are there no more blockbuster films like them today? Because the talent behind those films have looking since retired... We don't have the same talent any more...
Over 40 years later and this is still one of the greatest Si Fi Films of all time. But if you are going to watch it, make sure it is the director's cut which is the best version by far.
Sitting watching bladerunner just now on tv. Put this song on and it starts at the exact same bit that its showing on the tv. The universe wanted me here right at this moment.
One of the greatest movies of all time bc it deals with probably the most important aspect of human existence-our memories. This film asks who are we without our memories?
Vangelis ( with a hard g-can’t believe that I pronounced his name wrong all those years) is the star of this movie along with the visual effects in my eyes & (ears). This movie would be radically different without them.
He's up there. At least one of the main stars. The music gives the mood for much of the film. I think this story benefitted from admonishment, namely the music and visuals, but I even liked the voiceover.
This movie is just pure asthaetic perfection, a perfect blend between real props, scale models and CGI. Todays movies just look like Video Games too much cgi overload

The World wasn't ready for this. Movie back in 82.
It's crazy to think about how old it is!
Truly ahead of It's time
NWO
No, it's insane how well it stands the test of time
The world wasn’t ready for blade runner 2049 either we let it flop :/

they will never make movies like this Again.
Terminator(1984,1991),Star Trek,Star Wars(1-6 episodes)!
The same with 2001. Made in the 60s and there is only a few seconds of the whole film where you can fault the special effects at all!
@@AshleyMooreAMS Completely agree.
Just one more reason why the 80s remains the best decade.
All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain.
Agree
❤
...and the sequel sucks...

C'était pas loin? Du dolby stéréo pour blade runner!!! Mais avec une qualité supérieur, dans le sens où le film est en 70mn 6 pistes...
You can hate your experience of working on this movie Harrison, but it's your best performance ever!
Sean Young's beauty is in this scene out of this world. She is stunningly beautiful.
k bro
@@joyusachoobarb Nah, He's right.
The music that Vangelis composed for this film was the best part of this film...and it was a great film!
Music is vibration of the Universe, You are right on this one
A visual and audio masterpiece.
One word: Masterpiece
You spent two words before saying just one, and the effect was lost in the process. If you're going to say "one word", then just say the word.

Her beautiful face, dress, hair were perfect.
Wonderful to see hee reprised in the newest movie.
Arguably, one of the greatest openings to a movie When the stars align - visuals, music, script, acting
i really forgot how breath taking those visuals were. i must rewatch it now
Un era lontana...che bello...indimenticabile
The 80s were a Primo Decade for Science Fiction.
James Cameron, Ridley Scott, and Paul Verhoeven. The 3 masters of sci fi.
And fantasy! My kids have asked me "why were movies so much better in the 80s?"
Mean that most greats will die with a 10 year intervall. Not that great, sadly
Unfassbar guter Soundtrack und Film
Un merveilleux film épaulé par la musique magistrale de Vangelis
A great ahead of its time movie. Astonishing, especially on the big screen. Every time I watch it, it’s like the first time!
...back in 82 I just sat there....popcorn was totally ignored ...never seen anything like it..
Could you throw a football over them mountains?
Have to keep watching this once in a while, to remind myself that once upon a time that a film can be a work of art.
No CGI extravaganza will ever top the magic of seeing this in 1982 - a trip into an entire future world in that far off future of (gulp) 2019 !
42 years ago… makes me feel kinda old. Still looks and sounds great!
Yamaha CS 80 eight voice polyphonic synthesizer. The best sounding of the old analog synthies.
….the best sounding synthesiser. I fixed that for you
Agreed.
lovin you always Vangelis! RIP
The production design is fantastic
Masterpiece ❤
The background matte painitings in this movie had insane detail. RIP Syd Mead.

80s ........ Film industry at its best ,, Visuals , Music , Stories and plots . Such depth we haven't seen in decades .
I loved their music for this and Chariots of Fire.
Masterpeace, movie and soundtrack. Great Vangelis, now and ever, forever.❤❤❤
Masterpiece! ✨✨
Philip K. Dick was a genius as so was this movie. A masterpiece

Fantastic music and amazing video !
Pure emotion! Unforgattable Vangelis!
This music moves me on a cellular level.
You're watching television. Suddenly you realize there's a wasp crawling on your arm.
sometimes I wish I could back in time and see it when it came out
Great film
Legend of a Movie , the Cast and soundtrack Too .

noone in cinema has created such a believable world..
Visceral. You feel like you really can walk in there, eat some chinese food, wet by the rain, fly in cars. It feels REAL.
I loved that movie

Possibly, ...THE best movie ever sharing the nest with Casablanca.
