Yes, can't be compared to the second version. This one is much more powerfull in every way. I saw commerci!al and a poster for T2 at the autumn 1991. (Sweden) Never heard of the first film or Arnold. I rented and wached the first film on VHS spring 1992. (The original mono sound) Nobody in my family were interested and I watched it alone. I was 13 years old then. Masterpiece!
The T-800’s relentless pursuit of its objectives, its ability to withstand setbacks, and its singular focus on completing its mission reflect the same mindset that Arnold has exhibited in his personal and professional life. In fact, Arnold often speaks about his own journey as one of constant discipline, vision, and perseverance, which mirrors the T-800’s cold determination. This theme of unbreakable willpower, regardless of circumstances, has been a key part of both his personal legacy and the character he portrayed in the film.

Same here. The two movies are a different genre from one another. T1 was a true techno-horror with no humour, no messing about. Just a sense of absolute helplessness about how the terminator could be beaten. The second was absolutely brilliant but moved the genre into more of a techno-action movie than techno horror.

Combine the harsh metallic sheen and synthetic edge that Brad Fiedel created for *The Terminator* (1984) and the more orchestral overtones and horrific stingers that James Horner conjured for *Aliens* (1986) into each other, and you can probably get a good idea of what James Cameron's R.-rated *Spider-Man* film might've musically sounded like....
