I’m listening to this and reading Dach’s stats. 25 is the most goals he had in junior. He had 14 few seasons ago in Chicago. I hope there’s a little Cam Neely in him ready to come out. But if you’re seeing him afraid to make contact out there, that’s a mental thing. I wouldn’t give up on him quite yet. But there’s concern for sure.
Another good video. IF, and it's a big IF, Slaf and Dach find their game, we truly are in the mix. If so, I think it's even realistic we can make the playoffs next year with the addition of 2 more veteran key players during the off season, a better than Primeau backup goalie. I agree, Dach did not have a good game, having said that, scoring that gimme goal could do wonders for his confidence if he has an better follow up game.
In Montreal , most fans/media want a short sexy rebuild to wit: a hard working team giving a good show almost every night while being in the mix. It is like having your cake and it too !!! For this team to become a genuine cup contender in the futur, they need more drafted players with higher end talent such as Demidov. Slaf, Reinbacher, Dach and Newhook are good prospects but very far from being elite...This is very simple, the bad rebuilding teams usually get the best prospects available at the draft while the rebuilding teams staying in the mix usually get to draft futur NHL bottom nine players and bottom 4 defensemen. There are still exceptions such as Buffalo and Detroit which can't do anything right on a continuous basis !!!
I’ve made this point many times and you’re right the heart of the rebuild or part of it in Demidov, Reinbacher, Fowler haven’t played 1 game yet. It’s coming 👊🏻
I do agree regarding the lines. Line 2 may have scored, but it's still the least performing line and least convincing to me. Slaf is finally starting to use his body more to create pressure, and I would like to see him do that again in Line 1. My upcoming words may be absurd, but I kinda want to see Laine with Gally and Anderson since that's a line the grinds a lot. And perhaps see Evans, Dach and Newhook together. Great show as always! Edit: I miss Pezzetta, would love to see him in the line-ups once in a while. His vibe and energy reminds me of the energy Byron used to bring.
Two things: If the Habs could clean up their defensive coverage then they would be out of their zone and moving the puck into the offensive zone. Solution: Hire Luke Richardson. Two: They need another forward who can score twenty goals and is a veteran. Anderson should be that guy but he won't be until he starts cutting to the net and stops going around the net because he is so predictable.

Dach is the biggest question mark. If he ever gets that offensive burst.. watch out!
It's Laine and Hutson together.
I got to say. If Dach becomes a 65 point guy ill be happy
That would solve a lot of problems
For me I say put Slaf on the top line and get new hook to help centre Dach and Liane
Newhook has looked fine on top line and I have to believe they’re experimenting Dach and Slaf. They desperately need a second line asap 👊🏻

I think we can call it on Pezzetta. For a variety of reasons I’m sure he just isn’t their guy👊🏻
