So the 16 points prior were what… ? He should have more points for sure, all of the Habs forwards could have better finish. He could easily have a point a game if not more He needs to work on his shot
He is really good in is zone too way better than is plus minus indicate the goaltending and team defence in the biginning of the season hurt that stat for him but he is solid in defence too
I like Lane Hutson. Hes playing over 22 minutes a game on a defense that gives up the eighth most shots against per game in the league. He is a -12 despite the 19 points. Only Kirby Dach is worse on this team. He lacks a shot which is a real problem. Former habs like scott gomez or max domi who didn't have the shot just the pass soon found teams would leave him open and cover the other players. I like him. He has flaws and may be playing a little too much. Matheson has been better than him defensively which is a little scary.
@@fastrabbitdev6087 Lane Hutson leads the Habs with 35 giveaways. Matheson and Xhekai are next with 29. Matheson at least has 26 takeaways to balance it out, Hutson has 14. Xhekaij has 6 and lacks the offense of the other two. Matheson is also second on the team in blocked shots, behind Savard.
We should all be happy with what he is doing. Give him some time to work on defense, he will eventually round into a goal scorer. Don't forget, he is only 20 years of age.
In order to have assists, the Canadiens need good scorers. Wonder why his tally went up recently... oh yes... Laine is here!

Too bad that michkov didn’t want to go to Montreal 😢. Hudson+demidov+Michkov would have been crazy
Too bad that Hughes did not want to draft michkov and was scared to take that risk. There fixed it for you.
If you had Michkov you wouldn't have Demidov.. or no Laine.
@ why not

Imagine how more assists he would have, if Montreal had more finishers that can put it in the net.
He will be second for the Calder behind… Matvei Mitchkov
Nah Hutson will win

Put some glasses, worse player defensively is by far Matheson lol. He's got the most givaways by a mile too.

Lane, you need to score a goal at least.😉

He could never score a goal in his career and it wouldn’t matter.
Secondary assist merchant
Most of his assists are primary.
@ more than half are secondary… 7 primary and 12 secondary. Go back and look game to game
If you actually watched the games you would know his impact on the ice is far bigger than just getting secondary assists…
Oh boy...this again. I remember many saying the same thing about crosby during his rookie campaign,
@@arihia45 comparing Hutson to Crosby is only something Canadians fans could do
