      Barbara Tadla he showed him the way, you can lead a horse to the water, but you can’t make him drink. This man chose to drink, and now he is better. Wim lead him there.

    I’ve been doing the cold showers and have noticed a dramatic change in mood . I have struggled with anxiety and depression for years and this is by far the greatest thing that’s ever happened to me . I cold shower every single morning and u can be in the middle of pure anxiety and take a cold shower and u are totally on reset . Keep up doIng it and depression and anxiety goes down and mood goes up . Combine it with the breathing excersises meditation and excersize and determination and u will feel much better . The natural endorphins release is what improves mood .

      I'm 23 and I was diagnosed with depression when I was 13 and anxiety disorder when I was 9. I've been struggling with these, and other mental illnesses like autism so much that I don't remember what it's like to not be depressed or not have anxiety. Hoping the commitment to this pays off! Wish me luck boys

    Wim Hof cured my anxiety after his breathing method I get so relaxed and I feel like everything will be okay and let me tell you first time you're gonna try ice bath it will take time to get in but once you do you will feel happy and like you accomplished something and you will forget about anything, it gives you inspiration that you can do anything you want you just have to get through first stage, I'm so glad I found out about Wim Hof :')

    I badly wish they had something like this in Minnesota. Maybe I need to start something up. It’d be so amazing to have a group of people that wanted to get together like this and just be together, cheer eachother on and do these practices together.

    The wim hof method has helped me get over myself. The mind is all of our worst enemies'. Everything may seem like it is collapsing but if you implement this simple method with consistency it really helps. I absolutely enjoy the cold showers because it puts me in the moment in stability and harmony in my mind. Thank you Wim.

    Thank you for sharing this Luke!! I’m so happy for you getting your zest for life back!! 🙌🏻 I’m also from Melbourne and suffer with terrible anxiety and PTSD. I’m on day 3 of WHM I’ve followed him for a while and think he is amazing and inspirational. Now I’m doing the breathing I will be doing cold showers again. I want to want to get out of bed in the morning instead of being struck down with fear and anxiety. Thank you Wim for everything you do!! We can access your method for free and I am so incredibly grateful for that!! 🙏🏻 It would be a dream come true to go to Poland to do the WH experience!!

      in a recent interview with wim, he mentions you can get the benefits of just 30 seconds in a cold shower. I look forward to them now. They're always a challenge but its an achievement to do them and they leave you feeling great for the rest of the day. Like everything consistency is key so start them again asap Jodee. Lets get that anxiety beat :D

      Keep at it daily...Try to find a group of others who you can practice with as you can form a tremendous bond jumping in an ice bath with someone x

    Before I got into the Wim Hof method, I did go swimming in freezing water in winter in the mountains. A friend had mentioned him before, but I only check into him when I was down in the dumps and decided to look him up.

    This is going to sound hard to believe but I couldnt do a single push up... Do this breath technique and then wait a few miniutes and try push ups and watch what happens. I went from barly able to go down to being able to 10 perfect push ups instantly without training my weak upper body strength.
    Idk how this works its insane and amazing!

      @@sundjerbob6229 I think the WimHof is the main reason that I got through it! It gave me a a daily focus and a way to make myself feel good. The community was another huge part as they made me feel worthwhile.

    Also had some tough times like 4-5 years ago (I will spare you the details). Even though what happened doesn't bother me anymore I still think I developed some kind of depression (minor, but I'm not as happy as before) and anxiety disorder (which I can control now without panic attacks). Did anyone do the Wim Hof Method with anxiety and if you did, what kind of anxiety did you have.

    I can’t do the breathing and cold showers in the morning.
    Need to wake up early and hit the road for work .
    Instead I take cold showers when I get home and does the breathing before bed time .
    Ice therapy on Saturday and Sunday mornings.

    I've just done my first cold shower after 3 rounds of breathing (4th round during the shower).

    I absolutely love the tingling and how I feel throughout my body.

    i started doing the mini course, but wonder if im not ready yet. when i get the 'charge' in my body, it gets me panicked! i feel like im about to pass out and stop the exercises. i tried cold water today and started feeling dizzy. i think my nervous system just might be a bit burnt out, maybe i should not do this till im a little more healthy. thoughts?

      With the breathing, i feel that too, little panicked when i hold my breath and dizzi,but its normal, and i hold it as much as i am comfortable, and then hold it a little more. And with the cold showers start with it just a little cold then turn it colder and colder, and breath and stay calm, u will feel better

      Combine that with breathing and meditation. I was addicted to xanax for 2 years, and it fuck you up. So you need to convince yourself you can do it without pills

    I have noticed an increase of anxiety since I started the method is that a signal that this is not for me?

      At the start I had a lot of this as I was avoiding dealing with some thought things. I made a list of the tough things and did a few rounds of breathing before I would try to deal with each one at a time. Try to find others that do the Wim Hof! Strength in numbers

    Willl the cold not do harm to the body? I don't get it. I have nerve inflammation and whenever I'm in a cold environment it gets irritated.

      We were a group of 60 and we were split into 3 groups of 20, weirdly we only had men in our group but the other groups had women. Speaking to the teachers it is majority men maybe 70/80% however many women do this also.

    I'm burned out (feeling exhausted, chronic stress and very little recuperation after sleep) for a while now and I consider to apply the breathing and cold technique. Is it recommended?

      Yes :) i took my first icy cold shower yesterday and actually lasted a long time, it felt amazing ❤️ took a few rounds a minute long each with short breaks in between, where i stretched and moved my body. Never thought i would be able to pull off the cold showers, i consider myself a very fragile and sensitive girl, but i did it 😊 its what our ancestors used to do when they lived out in nature and it really feels like you tap into that. i feel it dissolves the cloudiness in my head and the depressive feelings, after the shower i felt a warm feeling in my heart, it really opens you up

    One thing I don't understand... HOW will a breathing technique that activates the flight or fight response (adrenaline) help a person with anxiety
    , who's adrenaline is high a lot of the time? I just don't see how increasing the adrenaline EVEN MORE will reduce anxiety.....
    Isn't more stress, leading to chronic stress, bad? someone please explain.

      Don’t know it exactly, but I guess through pushing the Adrenalin even higher, the body learns to handle this extreme stressful situation and then the less stressful situations in your daily life are even easier to handle for your body.
      It’s like with the cold water. If you are used to 30 degrees Celsius water , then 20 degrees Celsius water will be cold for you.
      But if you are used to 10 degrees Celsius water, 20 degrees Celsius water will be warm for you.

      This and look into biofeedback and get control then over your nervous system then you can consciously control body heat, hormones, etc. and make adjustments as needed.

    I have a question if I am doing something wrong, but I have anxiety and panic attacks, and after 2 weeks of doing breathing and cold showers, I started to feel dizzy and nauseous. Also the first five days I felt I had better adaptation to cold, but after two weeks I actually felt worse going outside (it is winter) and I shivered a lot - my circulation was so bad outside, my hands were freezing cold even with gloves. So I stopped doing it. Otherwise, I am a healthy but non-athletic individual. I did a heart test and my heart is good. Did I do something wrong?

      Don’t rush into the cold, just take your time with the exposure your body needs to adapt. Do 15 seconds cold showers for the first week. Increase by 15 seconds per week until you get to 2minutes and this is long enough for benefits. When you are doing 2 minute showers you can start with more outdoor cold. It is not a race just step by step.

      Same here - I think it is the breathing that is making me feel sick and light headed - this goes on througout the day and my anxiety is worse. I can do the cold showers - however when it is too cold my arms feel like they are numb and I have to stop. I'm going to have to stop the breathing unless somebody can help out there.

      My take is that dudes (in general) are not very good communicators and they hold on to this 'macho' stuff and keep a lot of pain inside. This combined with our modern sedate lifestyles we don't get the natural releases of testosterone, adrenaline, dopamine, serotonin that our ancestors would have received from just trying to survive with predators. This is engrained in our DNA and I think men are searching for modern healthy ways to get this feeling.
