The latest reply to this conversation, I was still in a relationship or a quasi-relationship. The words "I'm not going anywhere" were uttered. And I believed that since I was seeing someone in the church, a devout, God-fearing woman, she wouldn't turn out the lights and leave me devastated. Yet here we are. Words are only words until either validated or refuted by action. Hard for me not to speak to my kids daily but think I’m going to stop calling to speak with them and just see them when it’s my scheduled times. She’s moved on so kinda sucks my kids have been introduced to someone else when they are so young but it is what it is….wish we didn’t have kids so I can completely focus on myself

It’s crazy cuz I’m watching this as the dumper HOPING she changes. I genuinely love her, but she has issues…everyone on here is saying if they dumped you don’t take them back. But I don’t think many of you realize how disappointed and hurt even the dumper can be, when your partner you love doesn’t respect your boundaries and constantly act toxic to you and your loved ones that makes you have to walk away. Crazy part is I want her back bad, but I also want my own safety and peace even more, but both would be perfect. Sometimes the person who was dumped is actually the sane and non toxic one. The dumped one is the catch and the high value person but the dumper who is toxic and narcississtic and conviced themself that everything is your fault
@@paulahamilton3018 in my case no I don’t think so. She got verbally abusive and slapped my family member, she was definitely the toxic one. Sometimes dunpers dump to protect themselves. I didn’t even want to break up but I had to. Her uncle even pulled me to the side and apologized to me and said he understood if I walked away. She needs help. I still loved her but I had to love myself more and walk away. Eventually her abuse would’ve turned physical and I don’t do that. Especially because I heard through the grapevine from others she was physically abusive with her ex. So no I dodged a bullet as the dumper

I was totally blindsided and dumped by my ex about a month ago. we broke up last week and its almost a week now with no contact. he was the one that decided to let go because it was easier for him to do that than to improve our relationship. we ended with respect but in my last message i told him that if he's not comfortable with us still following each other on instagram then he can unfollow me, but up to this day he is still following me (also his sister) and in fact watches my stories (though he doesn't react to it and doesn't like my posts). my heart is still breaking and i miss him. i'm trying my best to not watch his stories because then i'd be breaking no contact. would it be better if i just unfollow him? i don't think he's going to reach out anymore.

And he also ended things because it was easier than working on our problems and communicating what he didn't like. In fact, in the relationship, he was the one who screwed up more than i did but i guess the fights frustrated him. I would suggest you instead of unfollowing him, just mute his profile so that you don't get notified of his stories and posts. And a week of no contact is too short to decide whether he will reach out or not. So wait it out, be strong. People wait atleast 30-45 days. My real NC has also been just around a week. It was over a year of no contact. She finally contacted me because a close friend of her’s was dying. I have no clue as to why. Sent my condolences and sympathies in regard to her friend’s family. She did thank me. I left it there.
you know maybe she was just having the realisation that life is short and we could lose anybody at anytime and so she didn't want to live with the fact that someone she once loved and cared about was a stranger to her as the future is unpredictable. Maybe she didn't want that on her conscience or she felt like you are someone she could be vulnerable to and come for support during this difficult time for her.

Hard for me not to speak to my kids daily but think I’m going to stop calling to speak with them and just see them when it’s my scheduled times. It’s crazy cuz I’m watching this as the dumper HOPING she changes. I genuinely love her, but she has issues…everyone on here is saying if they dumped you don’t take them back. I didn’t even want to break up but I had to. Her uncle even pulled me to the side and apologized to me and said he understood if I walked away. She needs help. I still loved her but I had to love myself more and walk away. Eventually her abuse would’ve turned physical and I don’t do that. Especially because I heard through the grapevine from others she was physically abusive with her ex. So no I dodged a bullet as the dumper

And a week of no contact is too short to decide whether he will reach out or not. So wait it out, be strong. People wait atleast 30-45 days. My real NC has also been just around a week. i think this is what my ex does to me right now, we have been broken up for a little over 1 month now and nc for a month, and for the past 9 days my ex has started reaching out to me, one time just asking how i was, and now if im home or on vacation. It was over a year of no contact. She finally contacted me because a close friend of her’s was dying.
I have no clue as to why. Sent my condolences and sympathies in regard to her friend’s family. She did thank me. I left it there.
you know maybe she was just having the realisation that life is short and we could lose anybody at anytime and so she didn't want to live with the fact that someone she once loved and cared about was a stranger to her as the future is unpredictable. Maybe she didn't want that on her conscience or she felt like you are someone she could be vulnerable to and come for support during this difficult time for her.
@@aayushitakte6528 What upset me was in the manner she wrote it. As she had to update me about her life. She didn’t care or want me at the end of the relationship. Had me walking on eggshells. She went back to her ex/friend after it was over. Posted so many hurtful things after. Made it so if I was looking. I would see the post. I lost almost a person a year before meeting her. So I fail to understand why reaching out to a past love or interest would help.

Went no contact & ex got in another relationship.. I'm very sure she won't come back or will ever reach out again. First she ghosted me for 4+ months and then had the "mercy" two weeks ago to tell me that it's time to move on, that I shouldn't send her messages and forget about her. In my last reply I told her what a great liar she was (by telling me before "I will always love you", "I will try everything for you", "I always want you to be my lifetime partner") and said she can forget about me too. Unfortunately, that only happens the first time you break up whether it was a long or short term thing. Yes, they can reach out after a month or 2 to test the waters and then things can move forward. But after the 2nd and 3rd breakup that doesn't happen anymore. It's been 3-4 months since he broke up for the 3rd time. He got "busy". 2 Months after, we had a fight (I demanded answers about his new thing...sigh) . Then the same thing a week ago (I wanted an update). In all these 4 months he never cared. He moved on. @@blacademic My ex spoke with a friend of mine and he told her I was still in love with her. My ex broke no contact and called me. We spoke for 3 hours and we ended up getting back together. I showed her I could replace her with someone that looked just as good or better than her. It actually worked we have been back together for 3 weeks now. We spent Thanksgiving together at my house with my family. I believe sending her the pic and removing her from my gym membership was the key.
