What Taabe yells out in his native language is him calling the Predator a cheater when the predator cloaks as soon as it starts losing the fight.
Thank you for letting me know this that makes this scene even more hilarious
He was more polite it thought he called it "a bitch"
@@sgcastle8389 You're not wrong though. He is one for cheating.
he's right. the so-called 'predator' might have lost to a wolf if he hadn't cloaked, let alone a person
In my head I thought he said pussy
This move was so much better than it had any right to be. Some of the best fight scenes I've seen in a long time
one of the few movies where i am ready to fight the honest trailer guy
too bad this movie is woke
@@dragerdet Dumbest comment I've seen in a while, thanks
@@dragerdetIt has a strong female main character so it must be woke? LMAO! Your pathetic
@@dragerdetPlease explain how. You're the only one who thinks this
Fun fact: The dog was a shelter dog named Coco and she had no prior training before this movie.
Which is wild because I thought on watching that she was one of the best trained movie dogs I'd seen haha
@@joeypotter6051 If you rewatch its obvious the dog didnt have great training... but still did so damn well. I actually really enjoy how watching the dog you can see it's supposed to follow Naru but each actor that walks by steals the dogs attention for just a second before the dog gets back to Naru.
@@corporealghoul "obvious"
@@corporealghoul its not obvious jonathan. Dont be dense
No that makes sense I would act my ass off if it meant not going back to the pound
One thing I love about the final confrontation of the movie is that it's absolutely okay for the Predator to make mistakes/rash decisions because Naru *literally* blasted him in the head before their fight. The super-badass alien is going into a close-combat fight with a puny human, but he's going in completely punch-drunk from a bullet to the brain. And I love that Naru set up a bunch of traps assuming that shooting the Predator in the head wouldn't be enough to kill it! This was such a good movie!
THANK YOU, glad someone said it!!
28:37 she jumped down silently as well, unlike Mrs professional assassin Arya who screamed while jumping at the night king announcing her attack to the world.
Suraj not seeing predator hurts my heart, this is an injustice that must be fixed, and we all must be there to watch it!
Yet he's the first one to recognize the iconic line
Full couch reaction required for both the first time viewers and the rewatchers cause it's such a damn good movie
This was my native dads reaction when I told him I didn't remember it.
@@justinehercthehuman love them or hate them, that’s the overall irony of this channel
The Comanche version of this movie is so good. I know some people complained that the translations aren't word-for-word in some spots, but it always remains authentic to the language.
if theyre mad they can get over it Translations are rarely 100 percent accurate due to differences in grammar and even words just not existing like some ancient cultures dont have words for like snow or sand or desert or like if you copy Spanish word for word and pout it the English sentence structure its not gonna make sense always lol
I'm upset that they didn't just re-dub the whole movie in Comanche :(
I made I didn’t know they had the Comanche version until after I watched it lol….the whole time I’m like “ I wish they weren’t speaking English”
This film has made the franchise relevant again.
Yup. Say what you want about it but there is no denying it saved the franchise that pretty much had both feet in the grave.
i wont forget how a majority of fans were shitting on this for being woke...🤡
turns out this movie was one of the best of this franchise for me its on par with the first one
@@LS-tk7hp it’s literally in no way woke so you know why people were hating on it because it has a woman lead. Amber Midthunder was a badass in this role
@@youngrootv facts, people wouldn't say that to Sarah connor or elen ripley but here its somehow a problem
@@LS-tk7hp thank you
fun fact: Naru portrayed by Amber Midthunder her father David Midthunder does the voice for nightwolf in mortal kombat 11
Thank you for that fun fact. I had no idea her father did voice acting let along voice acted one of the mortal kombat 11 characters 👍
Adding on to this fact, Suraj said he wishes he could play Predator in a game. Predator was actually a playable character in Mortal Kombat X
I will never get over how cool that surname is.
@@ElProf Nah, Midthunder is just a so-so name. Better than Lowthunder, sure, but not as good as Highthunder.
We finally now have three fantastic Predator films! Hope they do a few more historical movies. Ancient Egypt, fuedal Japan or Mesoamerica would be incredible.
@rick king u right
4 for me...Predator, Predator 2, Predators 2012 and Prey...obviously that last crap movie that came out few years ago was a giant mess and the AvP movies are fun for what they are but kind of nonsense really!
nah i’d say predator 2 and predators are just ok at best
Predator 2 is goated I’m glad people agree
@@Karma-pq9fi predator 2 imo is ok not amazing because it had a lot of comedy compared to the others
Gotta say this reaction was amazing. Your genuine appreciation for the film shined through in a big way.
I know some guys were hating on the woman being the best fighter, but they forget or just wilfully ignorant, her brother was the greatest fighter in the tribe and he trained her her whole life and she still couldn't beat him, only reason she survived was because she had time to prepare. She had the skills and the series of events to prepare her.
out of all the characters in the franchise, her brother was closest to killing it in single combat. OUT OF ALL THE MOVIES
Agreed, but she also had something that her brother never had. Motivation and grit to prove others wrong. She had something to prove.
@@icantthinkofausername9422 if the predator didn't have access to his camo, he would've died in that fight.
Also, throughout the movie, Naru is extremely observant. Her focus and obervation skills are unmatched.
@@toasted_.coconutAlso, she was just damn fucking smart and used tactics that matched up with her observations. It was ironic that the Predator thinking she was no threat was what allowed her to get that first vital strike.
AvP isn't bad but it's pretty corny which at the time wasn't really what people were looking for. But it's aged well enough. I'd love to see the Normies check out the Predator franchise, Predators is good if not amazing. This film however is crazy good
my favorite of the franchise is 'how to catch a predator'
Interestingly enough the 2 biggest fan favorite predators by far come from both AvP movies. Scar and Wolf. I'd say they're worth watching just for them.
@@haschwell2757 how could you see avp 2? were you wearing night vision goggles?
I watched avp Requiem today for the first time and god, its crap
Predator lighting in a bottle, Predator 2 a good squeal, Predators decent, AvP okay a movie just to watch for the fun of it. AvP requiem wish they could have done better The Predator an ungodly load of garbage Prey comes pretty damn close the original and I loved it
Definitely the best cinematography/musical score for a Predator movie.
Now if they can make another Alien movie with this level of hype then that'll be perfect
@Rick King 22 🤣
there's an Alien series in the works on FX HULU, Noah Hawley is showrunner, I think Ridley is just producing.
we need a samurai vs predator movie
@Rick King 22 I liked the prequels they just should have been called something else. they have so much to work with from the comics and books dont know why they never made something adapted from one of those stories instead.
@Rick King 22 no no no they are their own thing I want a movie made from one of the story lines from the comics like how hard could that be for them to do
The Predator was losing to her brother, he appealed to invisibility.
He said damn this human is kicking my ass time to cheat 😂😂
He yelled "cheater" to him in Comanche. Predator was shook.
"Fucking hacker" - Taabe probably
@@JDeuce I hope naru snitches on his ass too when the other predators come 😂
@@DanielFernandez-gv6iy predator came to our planet to fuck around, till he found out 😂😂😂
I was really glad that this came out, being a Predator fan and being Native. *Also, Chris, a Donald Glover vs. Predator movie would also be fun.*
Fun fact: the main actress will be also in the live action legend of the avatar on Netflix. She's been cast as princess Yue of the northern water tribe.
*That's awesome.*
Please react to Apocalypto next!!! It's visually engaging , brutal but an epic film!! Highly recommend it.
the predator was supposed to mirror naru per the director, he is young and inexperienced, it was his first hunt as well.
Only where it was getting more and more overconfident with each fight, she was *learning.*
@@FreemanicParacusia yesss good point
I really like how they handled Naru in this movie. I like that they didn't just hand her a victory on a plate. The fact that they took the time to provide Naru opportunities to learn the Predator's methods and weaknesses, makes her victory in the end feel earned.
The close up of Spidey with the predator mask going “that’s weird” fucking killed me
I think the movie studio made a huge mistake for this movie. They would have made a bigger profit, if they released it in the movie theaters. Im glad I have a Disney/ Hulu account, or I would have missed seeing this. Nice reaction guys.
Also, i love how they show both Predator and Naru evolving and learning as the movie progress.
One of the better movies I’ve seen in 2022. Exceeded my expectations!
5:33 Hearing the Predator clicking sound puts a smile on my face 😌
It also gives me chills 😂
It has to earn its weapons upgrades If it survives.. I absolutely love this movie ..close to movie of the year for me , should've been a theatrical release my only problem is some of the CGI for the animals could've been done better but that's budget Constraints...
Re: the helmet, I always kinda assumed it worked like (for a lack of a better example) bluetooth? Because the arrows would be a pretty useless weapon if they were rendered useless if the helmet was broken or lost? So like, it works as a guiding system when connected but if something happens to the helmet, then the arrows could be used without the guiding system. I'm guessing that he was probably hoping that if it was still functional it would just be out of range and he could get a shot off at her, not knowing that she'd stashed the helmet nearby hoping for this exact situation to occur. But that's just how I personally interpreted that.
I assumed the Predator/Hunter just thought it was broken from the projectile that went through his head, since it was the only time a projectile had actually knocked it off with force.
Either that or he thought it was destroyed because a primitive species had tampered with it.
@@mtnd02.06 Or didn't think that she'd be able to use his tools against him. Her being underestimated and using her talents as a gatherer to spot things the hunters missed was sort of a theme of the movie.
@@SuzakuX So far out of all the theories, I like this explanation the most. Putting an unconventional skill to use in a combat situation to gain the upper hand.
19:48 "If it bleeds, we can kill it." Arnold's famous line from the first movie.
Something cool to note:
In the Scene where the brother and the predator are dueling it out, and the predator goes camo mode after being shot, the brother yells “Cheater!” In Comanche,
And I just want Chris and Spidey to know that awesome bit of info 👊🔥
I loved how the predator moved it look like it could actually fight
I love the predator franchise & btw aliens vs predator was really good. Even the second one I enjoyed, was a interesting movie when they switched the story from the usual predator hunting a human. Y’all should for sure watch them
I thoroughly enjoyed this reaction… I thought you guys would either really love it or really hate it, glad you liked it as much as me
I like how the director did small easter eggs from past predator flicks and the comics like the guy that ended up shooting himself
imagine the crazy power needed to break a gigantic brown bear's neck with 1 punch
YES!!
I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!
They premiered the film at San Diego Comic Con and the audience loved it! They gave it a 10 minute standing ovation!
I saw this on Hulu and it's pretty impressive. I gave it 8/10.
There will be more Predator Prequel films soon.
I'm so glad you guys are reacting to this, I even tweeted at you guys to react to this and now here you are reacting YES!!! This was a good movie 🎥 to me and I'm not even into movies like this.
damn how cool is chris's mom? predator AND demolition man??? great taste in movies!
There is a lot of comic book Predator world stuff that Dark Horse comics did back in the 90s. The AvP and AvP 2 comic stories are worth checking out for sure.
The novelizations for those are great, too!
I been waiting for this reaction since the movie came out, I really enjoyed the hell out of this movie I wish they release it in theaters again
Sooo happy y’all are watching this soooo many ppl hated before this movie came out and then this movie turned out to be great I loved it in my opinion watched multiple times! Was hype when seen u all posted this!!!
Not to be a “MySogIniSt” but i fuck with just dudes on the couch for some reactions
I was pretty blown away by this movie. I love the concept of people of this time dealing with the Predator's technology.
dog that plays Sarii is a rescue dog named Coco.
on the list of best dog companions in film.
Is it true that Coco was not a properly trained film dog? If true, that just makes all of those sequences with the dog more impressive to me.
Are you guys gonna react to the Aliens and Predator movies?
As much as I liked this movie, I don't think the audio guys have ever heard what a Mountain Lion sounds like, because they aren't capable of roaring. I was so confused in that scene.
yeah, and eagles don't have that iconic screetch, they just dub in a red tailed hawk. Just a movie/media thing, tho I do wish they kept it accurate so people are a bit less misinformed
That happens so much with audio in tv and movies. There's an expectation set up by old mistakes. Eagle shrieks, lion roars, sword "schwing" noise on unsheathing, movie guns are super noisy and rattle when you shake them, hospital EKG or Heart Monitor beeps and Respirators that either aren't in that room or don't make those sounds at all, etc
are yall animal experts now?? yall shouldve helped with the movie then
@@DJKuroh haha yeah. When I first heard they were hunting "a lion" I was like, there are no lions in North America. But then they gave a mountain lion/puma/cougar an African lion roar.
@@Say0nn. I'm more of an animal expert than you are an expert on how to use punctuation.
fun fact. the woman that made the soundtracks for modern warfare 2019, also made score for this movie.
I compiled all the Alien and Predator movies then based on the years they take place put them in order. I couldnt find a list that did both Alien and Predator so here it is. The date before the title is when the movie too place. The date in parenthesis is when the movie came out.

2179 Aliens (1986)
2179 Alien 3 (1992)
2318 Alien: Resurrection (1997)
If any of you didn't see the original then you should definitely watch the first Predator on the channel. Hell, I'd watch a Predator 2 and Predators reaction. You can skip The Predator but this one was such a great addition
That mention of Cyrax unlocked a core memory. Such cool lore in Mortal Kombat. Cryax and Sektor were ninjas that volunteers to be transformed into robots to gain enhanced speed, stamina, and strength. Smoke was added to the group but was the only one who did not volunteer. All 3 were sent on mission to hunt and kill Sub-Zero.
The thing is... in most Predator movies we see Youngbloods, Predators who have yet to complete their first real hunt. That's the reason why they make these mistakes. If you want to see an experienced Predator with access to a full arsenal of gear and weapons, you need to watch Alien versus Predator 2. The Elite Predator "Wolf" is a force...😎
PPS: 41:52 There is something like that in "Predators" (2010)... ⚔️
*whispers*
"Yo that wasn't even necessary" 🤣
Here is my full analysis:
First of all, alllll the previous predator movies were lacking AF. The original was PERFECTION, and the next predator movies that came after that were not received well by the audience. WHICH IS WHY I believe that they didn't go all out with this movie! They were actually scared! However, they wanted to see how the fans will react to a predator movie that "FEELS" like the original and has the actual "hunting" theme.. which was great
I believe the NEXT predator movies will follow this same path but will be even better! I at least hope so!
I loved the gore, the sound effects, the creature design, the cast in general, the personality they gave to the predator..
I loved the most the fact that the predator was checking the food hierarchy and was taking on earthling predators! Amazing.. imagine if they emphasize on this in the next predator movies!
I loved the tech, the fight sequences, environment design, and the fact that the predator was not speaking fuking english like some of the other movies lmao!
Keep in mind that this is 300 years before the first original predator movie based on timeline, and this predator was juvenile and was on his first hunting spree I think, which is why he lacked skull decorations.. he JUST started collecting trophies. That's why he probably didnt even have high-tech.. cuz he didnt earn them yet!
What I disliked:
1- The female lead. It was not necessary. No need to push feminism on this bcz the predator franchise should be like the original... it should be about BADASS beast-mode macho big dangerous dudes getting absolutely ANNIHILATED by the BIGGEST BADDEST hunter in the galaxy! (and Alien franchise already has a female lead)
2. I disliked some of the CGI, and i believe they had no choice bcz as I said they were scared and didnt go all out.
3. The movie was too short!
4. The ending was rushed.
5. The gore was held back.. I wanted to see more gore like really much more!
Some notes:
1. This movie relates itself to the original predator and predator 2 movies. So I think it rejects the stupid utter failure reboot movie they made some years ago.
2. The gun Naru used is the same gun the elder Yawcha predator gives it to the police man in Predator 2 after the police man wins at the end of the movie.
3. THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT NOTE:
At the end of the movie, end credit scene, the movie is being again displayed with cave paintings... what is different however is that they ADD a new part to the paintings!!! It shows that when Naru comes back with the head, a little while later, the tribe looks at the sky and sees predator ships invading earth! This is definitely a teaser for Prey sequels.
Nice Reaction btw!
Fun fact that net was actually in the second predator movie as well as the alien versus predator movie
Fun fact number two: there are several predator games that date back from the first one, but the ones you're definitely going to want to play is predator concrete jungle and the online multiplayer predator game
Fun fact number three: that gun will appear in predator two
IMO - best predator movie
I'm guessing none of you guys seen Predator 2. Totally missed the call back to the gun given to the Chief at the end. That is the same gun give to Danny Glovers character in P2...
its funny Chris mentioned the Predators giving [Character from a predator movie] a trophy, because the one hes referring to is the EXACT pistol she actually gets from the french hunter in this movie haha
Ohhh shit !?
In Predators, starring adrian brody and the group .. florence fishburne told the gang that each time they go away and come back they get more powerful...my understanding is that the predators do go on hunt for ranking purposes and also collects data and to improved their weapons.
Remember in the first predator with Arnold Schwarzenegger the predator could not pick up body heat or heart beat threw the mud. They watched and study their preys to get be tter in their hunting. The gun that naruto has looks like mrhe same gun, as in Predator 2 which the predator gave to Danny Glover at the end after he killed the predator. Also, there are, many different types of predators.
Pretty interesting...
When predator went invisible fighting the brother i tought "what a bitch". But to be fair, even the guy being an excellent fighter, predator was just fighting "hand to hand", if he really wanted, he could kill the brother. And also the convenience of the mask shooting at the tree. But props to the natives for the strategy fighting in all the scenes. Im obssessed with alien/predator worlds and its good to finaly have a good movie after almost a decade since predators.
That movie kinda sucked tbh. Watched it with high expectations after seeing all the hype for it and it turned out to be incredibly generic and uninspired. The concept and setting were super cool but they really didn't do much with it.
Just to let everyone know including you normies is that the predator in this film is a she. How i know this is from the predator hunting grounds game where they showed all the different predator skins, forms, gender, and weaponry. And from learning back when that game was made the mask and face from this movie confirmed that this predator is the first female one that we have ever seen since all the previous ones we have seen before were all male. Hope this info helps you all out and now you know.
Watching this reaction a year later. The pistol Nara gives the chief at the end shows up in Predator 2 with Danny Glover. It is given to him as a reward for besting one of their own.
Predators weigh over 600lbs noway you can play that off, with 600lbs on your leg😅
The bear was holding his own against the predator for a little bit but he shouldn't have walked off like he had because then the predator punched him and broke his damned neck. I thought it was cool when the girls brother was go hand to hand with the predator, it sucked that he died but the girl gave the predator what he dished out she killed him and brought his head home so I was happy for that, this movie was dope IMO
YEEEEEESSSSS!!!!!!! (I've been Waiting for These guys to react to Prey, It's a really REALLY Great Predator Movie *I've* seen
you mentioned that in one of the other predator movies the man was given a gift from the predators for defeating a predator one on one, do you remember what that gift was?
Bear is more dangerous than lions or tigers. Bcs Bear attack first ask question later. Tigers 🐅 see you first and then attack you from strategic place.
If Feral Predator can defeat fully grown Bear, then Wolf will demolish that Bear with ease.
You guys need to read up on your history, The French fur traders are not the ones who slaughtered the buffalo, that came more than 100 years later.
This movie made me realize what we've been missing:
We *rarely* have any positive Native representation in movies. Yo, Hollywood, there's more races out there than black and white!
Also fun fact:
This movie has a Comanche dub. You never see stuff like that.
I love the predator movies, because the Predators are such a cool alien species to me. How they are all just trophy hunters, and they have a code that they all follow. You can really see it in this movie, seeing as how the Predator only hunts other predators, and only uses tools/weapons equal with what he is hunting. They even have a code of honor, such as when he left her alone after she stepped in the trap. If I remember correctly, in the other movies they only kill things/people that are openly threatening them, so if you show that you aren't a threat or aren't worth hunting, they leave you alone.
And on another note, I hope the positive reception of this movie really inspires them to make more like it. Like you guys were saying, just more stories of the Predators coming throughout different points/settings in history. I saw that same idea, I think on twitter, about the Ronin/Samurai setting. More like this would be great.
Predators aren't even sending there Elites to Earth. We get all there Young and inexperienced fighters 😅
The predator was like “when you don’t realize blue tooth was connected”
I always imagined in this movie that the Predator is doing a "becoming a man" ritual, like he just became of age in their society so he has to land on a planet and kill every predator until hes the apex before he can return home
wish the girls were watching this movie but this was a great reaction none the less
Hot take: AvP is actually a pretty good movie once you get past the first 30ish minutes.
Alien vs Ninja 🥷 movie 🎬 🎞 please react on it. Japanese movie.
Awwww! You guys didn't watch the end credits? It sets up a sequel 🙂
I remember reading a 2 part novel series back in the 90s about a woman who helped one of the predators and was given permission to go to their planet and live among them. The second book really talked a lot about how they work and live.
Most of what I know about Predator culture came from that novel.
I think the first book was even called Prey.
so, this is the beginning of all the Predator reactions, starting in chronological (for the movie world) order.....Prey, Predator, Predator 2, Predators (you can skip The Predator).....right?
you can even do Alien vs Predator series reaction too (i don't and never disliked the first AVP, it was ok, and as for Requiem...i'm curious if you can actually see anything during the mid and end of the movie (i couldn't when the sun set and the power let out...just words and flashes in darkness)
only reason is that then you can move into Alien series reactions (Prometheus is fine, skip Covenant)
Isn't the pistol the same one the Predator handed Danny Glover at the end of part 2?
My favorite part of this entire movie is when Taabe calls the Predator a cheater in Comanche when it cloaks itself after getting its ass whooped. Glad someone finally called out the Predators bullshit fail safe for whenever they’re losing.
Here for amber midthunder and my boiiiii Predator Kumar choudhary
There's literally a game where you can be the Predator. Lol
Watched predator 2 before this one and immediately recognized the gun the predators gave danny glover. Wonder how they got that from them after all that.
Predator weapons and tech evolve depending on where they hunt and who.
Serj gets dumber with every reaction lmao
Suraj...c'mon man, never seen Predator. Weak.
You guys see you were featured in the Arcane docuseries Bridging the Rift? Near the start in the final episode, you can find it on youtube
Thought it was pretty neat :)
I also thought the predator was a bit cheap... but looking into their lore and how they prove themselves through hunting and gain better gear once they have proven themselves. They earned the right to use camo so they god damn use it.
That's one of my fav things. How she learned through all the encounters with the predator. My only complaint about the movie is how in the end it all went too according to plan. Like her plan pretty much went without a hitch.
And about predator cheating. Hes not really. He probably doesn't know what he'll encounter on this planet, so he just came prepared and hes using whatever he has at his disposal and expects for his prey to use whatever they have. Plus he took out a whole group of armed men without the camo so not like hes not capable, its just normal to him to use that tech. If there was an entity with superior tech to his here, he'd probably still fight it since its the top of the food chain. And I'm glad they did that scene. Wanted to see a predator fight in all its glory in daylight. xD
Plus he has shitty vision, especially without the mask if you recall the first movie. Probably why it didn't notice the mask too and a lot of other things near the end.
And yes Suraj watch the first movie. Dahell man. D:
The end game of her plan worked. But I don't think part of her plan was to almost get her head cut off by the shield. The rock save and the tusk stab were improvised.
No technology can defeat the wonders of plot armor
Surprised nobody picked up on the gun is the one in Predators they give to Danny Glover
Predator 2 my bad
You guys should definitely watch all the predator and alien movies!! I would love all your reactions to the fantastic older movies to the (in my opinion) very decent recent movies!!!
Take into consideration the Predator also was shot in the back of the head, when he was trying to kill Naru he might not have been thinking clearly enough to even consider his mask.
They should react to the other Predator movies
If you want to see more of this kind of Predator situation I would highly recommend PREDATOR: DARK AGES. Awesome, high quality 30 minuet, short film where the Predator fights a Templar. It's a fan film on RUclips.
Mickey, the Predators are not about war or conquering planets. They are basically a bunch of space hunters on space safari. They are not scouting the planet looking for weaknesses. They are only about hunting. They are like country club elites going to the wild to hunt big game. That's it. Most aliens movies tend to be about conquest and like Chris said, that's our fear. Predators to play that way. PREY showed a Predator goes to planet, scopes out who are the local predators and hunt them down going after the steady biggest and baddest predator. That's why you saw it studying animals working its way up the food chain. It didn't know about humans. If it hadn't encounter wolves, it might've stopped with the snake. If it hadn't seen the bear, it might've stopped with the bear. But it saw humans, using relatively sophisticated technology as a team, i realized, oh, humans, they are the apex predator--on this planet.
"If it bleeds it can die" is an actual saying , but got famous from Conan The Barbarian in the original comics. Some variation of it has been said in other movies and books etc.
I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW HAVE NOT READ THE COMICS…THIS IS the first predator ever to touch earth and it’s his first hunt w people who fight bacc fr 😂 and that’s not our typical Yautja it’s a Feral one as you can see our other ones were well over 7ft this one is barely half pass 6ft hence why diff body
