The Predators actually have their own distinctive characteristics. Chopper (the first one to get killed) is naive and like to use his wristblade for his hunt. That’s why he wanted to kill Lex quickly but got impaled. Celtic (the 2nd one) like to hunt with his brute strength. Thats why he went face to face with the people in the surface and go hand to hand with the alien. Scar is the smartest and strategic among them. He waited for the crew to be separated and approached Lex without killing immediately (Chopper would’ve kill her as soon as he found her). This show that Scar thinks before he acts. Scar also has humor when he stab the alien brain and scared Lex lol.

THIS is called acting without a face. Something the Halo (Master CHEEKS) actors need to learn... Japanese Tokusatsu (Godzilla, Ultraman, Kamen Rider, Super Sentai/Power Rangers etc) suit actors mastered this LONG before it became a thing in the west. Same goes for anime voice actors (seiyuu) too...

The novel version of Predator 2 flat out had City Hunter sneaking down to the subway platform while cloaked, jumped onto the tracks and running after the speeding subway train managing to catch up and climb onto it thus explaining how he managed to get on. So yeah these guys are fast enough to catch up with a moving train by running

Also, I have the book and, other than some of the writing at points....I do love the novelization, I really should reread it one of these days just to experience their reactions and relationship once more, lol.

Some predators are honorable and they are capable to work with other races like humans. The only real issue with both the Predator and Alien franchises is that the studios became less concerned with creating a consistent and logical lore after the first two than they were with cheap money grabs.

Novels and comics are a separate topic to me, I'm referring strictly to the films. Alien and Aliens, top notch, what came after woof. Predator and Predator 2, classics far as I'm concerned, I'm even a fan of AVP, the rest not so much. Haven't seen Prey yet so no opinion.
There are a couple of occasions where predators worked together with humans.Mainly in the comics.There was also a human,a woman who was accepted into a predator clan.Her name is Machiko Noguchi.They even made a predator armor just for her. Go read the comics if you are interested in the universe of AvP.

Nice reaction, i also liked this movie because of the Human-Predator team up, and i used to look forward to more team up in the following movies, but it sadly never happened. Edit: You two should definitely do a reaction video to AvP 2(Requiem). The Wolf Predator in that movie is considered to be the most badass Predator ever seen on-screen so far and is said to carry the movie besides being criticised for it's poor lighting. I think there is a more well lighted up version of the movie because the original was way too dark to watch, like literally dark.
Honestly, same. Prey reminded us of how great a villain the Predator can be, but I'm a sucker for a good Predator + Final Girl team-up. It's a time-honored tradition at this point.
If there were more team ups it would have to be more AVP movies considering they are the most worthy prey. Unless they do a movie about that 1 human who lives and hunts with them.
People trash the team up but if they have ever read the original AvP Dark Horse comic that came out way back in the 90's they would know that the human and Predator team up has been done before.

I like the "concrete jungle" idea in Predator 2. Shows that the Yautja can hunt ANYWHERE. I also imagined what sorts of dicier planets these badasses must have been to when I originally saw the first two movies as a kid

I'm glad AvP is getting more love recently, its definitely no where near as good as the OGs or Prey but this film is just so fun and entertaining, the action was good, story and characters were decent. Nice addition to the franchise.

While this film does have it's problems the Later half where it's just our lead and the Predator working together vs the Xenomorphs is still great, they do good job with showing non verbal communication between the two with the Predator showing her the xeno's skin is resistant to it's own blood and doing gestures for the bomb and our lead proving herself worthy of our Predator's respect by killing one and killing her former colleague as a mercy and even earning her own mark as a warrior
I thought it was a great addition to showing that they were young bloods. Predators have armor that is resistant to Xenomorph blood but that is earned later after being blooded by your first xenomorph kill.

Both of these are Not my favorite movie but the predator in there is an elite ranking pred so you get to see him in all his glory.
The relationship between the yautja and the humans is one of my favorite aspects of the Predator franchise. While the young are obviously excited about hunting and killing the "hard meat" (xenomorphs). The experienced warriors put just as much if not more respect on the killing of humans. That can be clever hunters and warriors in their own right. Personally believe that would be why this temple was put on earth. Since xenomorphs from human hosts would be more intelligent than those birthed from something like a dog or....an ox. While this was the first time cooperation was shown on screen. It's happened multiple times in the expanded universe. Now for this specific film. I felt it made the yautja look too weak. Its why i give the sequel a pass. While I certainly can acknowledge the shortcomings of AvP-R. It made amends by having the most badass predator ever put on the big screen. Plus seeing the predalien on screen for the first time was cool. Which the yautja also consider to be an abomination.
The best thing this movie did was introduce the concept of different mask designs for the Yuatja. Don’t get me wrong the movie is entertaining as is, but giving the predators a way to express character while maintaining their inhuman quality was a stroke of genius
Predator 2 literally had a ton of different mask designs on the Predator clan at the end of the movies, so this movie definitely didn't introduce the concept of new mask designs.

The second film would’ve allowed her to see the “heart” of the Predators and their honor in the hunt and battle. Which would’ve allowed her to be confident in the team up of the Predator with a human in this movie

It is WIDELY considered the best Predator sequel and many fans like it more than the original. The creature from P2 is many people's favorite, myself included and it is the only other film that features a suit made by Stan Winston and a Predator played by Kevin Peter Hall (who played the original). There isn't much wrong with the film. It's actually well done for a sequel set in the city. It just got low critical scores for the time, as did many other films that are actually really good and ahead of their time (like Last Action Hero). Without P2, there would be no AvP, comics, games, etc. Prey even referenced P2.

Its amazing and adorable to see Kacee grown so fast Predator fan. I am loving this as another predator fan! Predator 2 has also some nice things. AvP 2 is not terribly good movie but Predator in that is badass and it got some great fight scenes! Predators have some really good scenes.
As a teen growing up in the 90s I loved the Alien vs Predator comics. When they finally put this together I was so pumped. There was no way they could reach my expectations but I think they did a decent job.
i grew up with the AVP 1999 and AVP2 PC games along with the other alien and predator movies. the only thing i was disappointed about this movie was not being set in the aliens timeline in the future. still my favorite movie

This is actually the first Alien or predator movie I've seen. 3rd country problems, no access to a lot of movies when we were younger so versus movies were a guilty pleasure of ours because they're easy to get a hold of. So it isn't really a stretch to say this was my favorite because it introduced me to all of these creatures. Alien/aliens didn't have much impact because I've seen a lot of xenormorphs on this movie (including the big one) and Predator wasn't as cool because I saw them gut people AND aliens on first viewing lol I still love the originals tho (Also, still can't find predator 2).
I was sad that Scar died, and I was also sad that Celtic was killed, I was honestly rooting for Celtic to win against Grid, but unfortunately his overconfidence and arrogance was his undoing. But it would've been pretty cool to see Celtic get his plasma caster as well and fought beside Lex and Scar
The Yautja 5-part heart consists of 2 auricles and 3 ventricles. Lol So, yes, they have a massive heart. ❤ I know this is one of the least popular Predator movies but it is totally a guilty pleasure for most even if they won't admit it. I wish they would make more movies that dive more in depth to their culture and maybe possibly bring in the females since we have only ever seen the males on the silver screen.
If you choose to watch the next movie, Alien v Predator: Requiem, I highly recommend getting the extended version and set your TV 📺 settings on super bright because a lot of the night action scenes are very hard to see. It's one of the bigger complaints about this movie from fans. -OG
The extended cut of Requiem was the version we got in the cinema over in Europe. Then for some strange reason we got the shorter cut on home video. Had to import the extended cut from the US.
You might be interested to know that there's a short-lived comic series called Alien vs Predator vs Terminator. Not very well-liked from what I hear, but it was an interesting enough premise that I liked it. Basically, Skynet combines living human tissue part of their terminators with xenomorph DNA to create alien/terminator hybrids and the predators team up with Ripley and the human resistance to destroy them.
If you love the Yautja (Predator) species then I hope you watch "AVP Requiem" . You will absolutely fall in love with the Predator of that movie. It's the most loved movie pred among the majority of the franchises fanbase. The story, lighting, and characters aren't the best in AVPR..... But the Predator is so satisfying to watch in this movie.
I saw this in theaters when it came out and during some of the scenes in the climax at least half the theater started laughing. The “near kiss” scene b/w the woman and Predator got an especially big laugh.
Actually it was the Engeneers (Space Jockeys) who created Xenomorphs as biological weapon to destroy their own creations that they didn't approve of, Predators (Yautja) just happen to stumble upon them and found them to be great to prove themselves as worthy hunters, so then they used Humans for their own purposes. Also fun fact Jockeys are actually even tougher than Yautjas. Also can't wait for you to react to the New Predator from 2018.

I really liked the acting of the predator actors. they showed good the agility of those massive creatures. Also the scene where Scar faced Lex the first time. His pose was like: What the heck you doing here, and who gave you the right taking those guns?
I don't know if Kacee likes to read comics or books, but the stories are pretty good, I feel like the book is much better. They have a whole story line similar to this where a woman fights alongside the predator and is blooded by them and then she does go away with them in there spaceship to learn and hunt alongside them.
You're talking about the Dark Horse comic book Aliens vs Predator series. The woman that joined the Predators was Machiko Noguchi and she was a badass. I have to disagree with most of the people who liked this movie after reading that series. I was very disappointed. I didn't expect the movie to follow the book exactly, but the movie was very short with hardly any build up. It really felt rushed. And left out a lot of the lore from the original series. Dark Horse Aliens vs Predator series was far superior in my opinion. I liked the main actress in the movie but felt they didn't do her justice with how rushed the script was.

yes there are in real life ice breaker boats, specially up noord and harbours getting frozen, those icebreakers lead infront of an incomming ship to break the ice infront of the ship.
The biggest flaw of this movie is how they made the first two predators look like bitches so the last one could provide suspense/be the hero. + the last predator would hAve never allowed himself to live after being gotten by the face hugger. He would’ve suicided himself before letting it get on the ship
That’s because 99% of the predators we watch in movies are young bloods. Which means they haven’t gotten their first xenomorph kill. Pretty much teenagers. We’ve never seen blooded or elites fight. We’ve seen two clan leaders who are above them. 1 gave lex the spear and the other is in “Predators” the one in predators they made look like a bitch. Only time I’ve really had a problem cuz I’m like wtf. You’re supposed to be the biggest and strongest of your clan, can kill hella xenomorph and you die to Adrien Brody. I get that they have fighting styles like some prefer brute strength over tactician, and tactician seems to be the sure fire way to win… but you’re a CLAN LEADER!
Well the first time simpin for the predator is somewhat justified but they are still basically commiting genocide on a species that they enslaved just to hunt for sport witch they then killed humans for so still kinda fucked ngl.
First AVP is fine. I prefer the last act when all the other humans are dead and it’s just the lone survivor teaming up with the survivor Predator for a number of mostly dialogue free sequences. I actually wish the whole film had been like that The sequel AVP Requiem is one of the worst films I have ever “seen” (seriously who the hell was in charge of lighting)

Fun fact by me: Predators/Yautjas are basically like Humans. Think about it? Some of us aren't that different than them. Some of us basically hunt down animals, and turn them into trophies. So, what I'm saying, is, don't see them as monsters. Because what we're doing in life, we're pretty much alike.
I saw this in the movies and at the scene where the Predator gives her the head as a shield and makes the 'tail-spear' for her, I kid you not, the entire cinema started laughing at how ridiculous that was. This movie was entertaining, but honestly, not so great. I still liked some of the action though

Fun fact for the comics, the Yautja (Predators) actually will welcome anyone deemed worthy into their clan and to join them on hunts, in the comic this was based on, the girl joined the clan after killing the queen to try and save a Yautja Clan Elder named Broken Tusk, she even got her own armor and a ton of respect for her Queen trophy she got
If i remember correctly, this is only in one clan. The other just kill everything that moves without honor or thinking twice.

Some predators are honorable and they are capable to work with other races like humans. It just depends on the clan because there are a bunch of predator clans and some are evil, some are very honorable and able to work with other like these predators and some are just very old and traditional warrior type that accepts help from no one and does everything themselves. So that is your answer :).

There are a couple of occasions where predators worked together with humans.Mainly in the comics.There was also a human,a woman who was accepted into a predator clan.Her name is Machiko Noguchi.They even made a predator armor just for her.
Go read the comics if you are interested in the universe of AvP.

Nice reaction, i also liked this movie because of the Human-Predator team up, and i used to look forward to more team up in the following movies, but it sadly never happened.
Edit: You two should definitely do a reaction video to AvP 2(Requiem). The Wolf Predator in that movie is considered to be the most badass Predator ever seen on-screen so far and is said to carry the movie besides being criticised for it's poor lighting. I think there is a more well lighted up version of the movie because the original was way too dark to watch, like literally dark.
Honestly, same. Prey reminded us of how great a villain the Predator can be, but I'm a sucker for a good Predator + Final Girl team-up. It's a time-honored tradition at this point.
If there were more team ups it would have to be more AVP movies considering they are the most worthy prey. Unless they do a movie about that 1 human who lives and hunts with them.
People trash the team up but if they have ever read the original AvP Dark Horse comic that came out way back in the 90's they would know that the human and Predator team up has been done before.

I like the "concrete jungle" idea in Predator 2. Shows that the Yautja can hunt ANYWHERE. I also imagined what sorts of dicier planets these badasses must have been to when I originally saw the first two movies as a kid

I'm glad AvP is getting more love recently, its definitely no where near as good as the OGs or Prey but this film is just so fun and entertaining, the action was good, story and characters were decent. Nice addition to the franchise.

I've been WANTING this ever since I watched the first AvP film as a kid. Like...the potential they have!
Highly doubtful because the tribe that marked her got entirely wiped out by the predalien in the second movie.
While this film does have it's problems the Later half where it's just our lead and the Predator working together vs the Xenomorphs is still great, they do good job with showing non verbal communication between the two with the Predator showing her the xeno's skin is resistant to it's own blood and doing gestures for the bomb and our lead proving herself worthy of our Predator's respect by killing one and killing her former colleague as a mercy and even earning her own mark as a warrior
I thought it was a great addition to showing that they were young bloods. Predators have armor that is resistant to Xenomorph blood but that is earned later after being blooded by your first xenomorph kill.

The relationship between the yautja and the humans is one of my favorite aspects of the Predator franchise. While the young are obviously excited about hunting and killing the "hard meat" (xenomorphs). The experienced warriors put just as much if not more respect on the killing of humans. That can be clever hunters and warriors in their own right. Personally believe that would be why this temple was put on earth. Since xenomorphs from human hosts would be more intelligent than those birthed from something like a dog or....an ox. While this was the first time cooperation was shown on screen. It's happened multiple times in the expanded universe.
Now for this specific film. I felt it made the yautja look too weak. Its why i give the sequel a pass. While I certainly can acknowledge the shortcomings of AvP-R. It made amends by having the most badass predator ever put on the big screen. Plus seeing the predalien on screen for the first time was cool. Which the yautja also consider to be an abomination.

Honestly, the rom-com between Lex and the Predator is the main reason I manage to rewatch this movie a few times.
The best thing this movie did was introduce the concept of different mask designs for the Yuatja. Don’t get me wrong the movie is entertaining as is, but giving the predators a way to express character while maintaining their inhuman quality was a stroke of genius
Predator 2 literally had a ton of different mask designs on the Predator clan at the end of the movies, so this movie definitely didn't introduce the concept of new mask designs.

It is WIDELY considered the best Predator sequel and many fans like it more than the original. The creature from P2 is many people's favorite, myself included and it is the only other film that features a suit made by Stan Winston and a Predator played by Kevin Peter Hall (who played the original). There isn't much wrong with the film. It's actually well done for a sequel set in the city. It just got low critical scores for the time, as did many other films that are actually really good and ahead of their time (like Last Action Hero). Without P2, there would be no AvP, comics, games, etc. Prey even referenced P2.

Predator 2 has also some nice things. AvP 2 is not terribly good movie but Predator in that is badass and it got some great fight scenes! Predators have some really good scenes.
As a teen growing up in the 90s I loved the Alien vs Predator comics. When they finally put this together I was so pumped. There was no way they could reach my expectations but I think they did a decent job.
i grew up with the AVP 1999 and AVP2 PC games along with the other alien and predator movies. the only thing i was disappointed about this movie was not being set in the aliens timeline in the future. still my favorite movie

This is actually the first Alien or predator movie I've seen. 3rd country problems, no access to a lot of movies when we were younger so versus movies were a guilty pleasure of ours because they're easy to get a hold of. So it isn't really a stretch to say this was my favorite because it introduced me to all of these creatures. Alien/aliens didn't have much impact because I've seen a lot of xenormorphs on this movie (including the big one) and Predator wasn't as cool because I saw them gut people AND aliens on first viewing lol
I still love the originals tho (Also, still can't find predator 2).

I was sad that Scar died, and I was also sad that Celtic was killed, I was honestly rooting for Celtic to win against Grid, but unfortunately his overconfidence and arrogance was his undoing. But it would've been pretty cool to see Celtic get his plasma caster as well and fought beside Lex and Scar
Predator 2 and Alien 3 are both underestimated in my opinion.

The Yautja 5-part heart consists of 2 auricles and 3 ventricles. Lol So, yes, they have a massive heart. ❤ I know this is one of the least popular Predator movies but it is totally a guilty pleasure for most even if they won't admit it. I wish they would make more movies that dive more in depth to their culture and maybe possibly bring in the females since we have only ever seen the males on the silver screen.
I also loved the classical Predator 2 (1990) movie saw it on tv and I was surprised there was a predator movie I haven't watched when I was a kid.

If you choose to watch the next movie, Alien v Predator: Requiem, I highly recommend getting the extended version and set your TV 📺 settings on super bright because a lot of the night action scenes are very hard to see. It's one of the bigger complaints about this movie from fans. -OG
The extended cut of Requiem was the version we got in the cinema over in Europe. Then for some strange reason we got the shorter cut on home video. Had to import the extended cut from the US.

You might be interested to know that there's a short-lived comic series called Alien vs Predator vs Terminator. Not very well-liked from what I hear, but it was an interesting enough premise that I liked it. Basically, Skynet combines living human tissue part of their terminators with xenomorph DNA to create alien/terminator hybrids and the predators team up with Ripley and the human resistance to destroy them.
If you love the Yautja (Predator) species then I hope you watch "AVP Requiem" . You will absolutely fall in love with the Predator of that movie. It's the most loved movie pred among the majority of the franchises fanbase. The story, lighting, and characters aren't the best in AVPR..... But the Predator is so satisfying to watch in this movie.

I saw this in theaters when it came out and during some of the scenes in the climax at least half the theater started laughing. The “near kiss” scene b/w the woman and Predator got an especially big laugh.

Actually it was the Engeneers (Space Jockeys) who created Xenomorphs as biological weapon to destroy their own creations that they didn't approve of, Predators (Yautja) just happen to stumble upon them and found them to be great to prove themselves as worthy hunters, so then they used Humans for their own purposes. Also fun fact Jockeys are actually even tougher than Yautjas. Also can't wait for you to react to the New Predator from 2018.

I don't know if Kacee likes to read comics or books, but the stories are pretty good, I feel like the book is much better. They have a whole story line similar to this where a woman fights alongside the predator and is blooded by them and then she does go away with them in there spaceship to learn and hunt alongside them.
You're talking about the Dark Horse comic book Aliens vs Predator series. The woman that joined the Predators was Machiko Noguchi and she was a badass. I have to disagree with most of the people who liked this movie after reading that series. I was very disappointed. I didn't expect the movie to follow the book exactly, but the movie was very short with hardly any build up. It really felt rushed. And left out a lot of the lore from the original series. Dark Horse Aliens vs Predator series was far superior in my opinion. I liked the main actress in the movie but felt they didn't do her justice with how rushed the script was.

The biggest flaw of this movie is how they made the first two predators look like bitches so the last one could provide suspense/be the hero.

That’s because 99% of the predators we watch in movies are young bloods. Which means they haven’t gotten their first xenomorph kill. Pretty much teenagers. We’ve never seen blooded or elites fight. We’ve seen two clan leaders who are above them. 1 gave lex the spear and the other is in “Predators” the one in predators they made look like a bitch. Only time I’ve really had a problem cuz I’m like wtf. You’re supposed to be the biggest and strongest of your clan, can kill hella xenomorph and you die to Adrien Brody. I get that they have fighting styles like some prefer brute strength over tactician, and tactician seems to be the sure fire way to win… but you’re a CLAN LEADER!

First AVP is fine. I prefer the last act when all the other humans are dead and it’s just the lone survivor teaming up with the survivor Predator for a number of mostly dialogue free sequences. I actually wish the whole film had been like that

I saw this in the movies and at the scene where the Predator gives her the head as a shield and makes the 'tail-spear' for her, I kid you not, the entire cinema started laughing at how ridiculous that was. This movie was entertaining, but honestly, not so great. I still liked some of the action though
