Selection in grocery really varies on which store you go into. Of course, we don't compare with american mega marts with aisles just dedicated to oreo's or precooked meals. The selection in Netto, Aldi or Rema isn't comparable to what you can get in for instance Meny, Føtex or similar. It all depends on where you shop
The options in even Bilka and Føtex are very poor compared to neighbooring contries. That's just a fact. And it's probably due to a lack of competition and the tendency of consumers to go for discount products. Now, Aldi is leaving the country. A few year ago, Kiwi closed shop and they are closing Irma aswell, so things are getting worse regarding competition, which is why we also in the future will pay the highest prices for food (overall) in the EU. Whilst options remain poor. Something's rotten in the state of Denmark. Rant over.
Thank u sismo! The price for day-care in Amsterdam doesn't represent the costs for ppl with low income, because 90-95% is paid back in taxes by the government. But limited places available since they cancelled help to raise kids at home by their own parents. I was hoping to get more info on subsidies and funds for parents to raise their kids with low income. Btw: real bummer that just a few studies are in English, nowadays. I understood that they changed that a couple of years ago. Appreciate your content Sr. Mario. Espero que tengas más seguidores pronto. Saludos 😊

Agree -- Fotex, Bilka or Meny have more options, but it's still a lot less from what you see even in Sweden, Baltics, Western Europe, etc.
