    Ran this module on my wife's 2019 tiguan for a little while before going with a APR tune but it definitely gave it some nice pickup especially when getting on the highway 👍🏽

      @@elegantsurfaces7934 definitely not recommend, this is how you’ll blow turbos and potentially a catastrophic failure internally.

    Just got one for my 19' Arteon SEL 4Motion. Got it used for $140 and the guy installed it. I already had the 034 motorsport turbo inlet and P34 OEM style air box with larger diameter integrated turbo pipe. I also have APR coils and RS7 spark plugs and recently did an oil flush with Liquid Moly. It's just what I wanted for my daily driver car. Yes, perfect for highway driving, since I work at 5am and have open road. I can pass slow cars and big rigs with ease. Butt dyno can really feel the pick up. Great purchase.

    Was about to go this route with Wifeys Tig. Till we said screw it and went APR stage 1, and man. Paired with TIP, intake, APR coils and RS7 plugs…. One hell of a difference!

      Is there any need to get an upgraded downpipe ?

    • @GreyMK7Jet
      @GreyMK7Jet 2 года назад +1

      @@srsairbags sorry for the late response but no, unless you do stage 2 which APR doesn’t do, you’ll have to source out another route. There are tuners that have done stage 2 on MQB Tiguans. I believe BDT (Boost Dynamics Tuning ) is one of them.

    So a buddy tried this on his wife's 2022 tiguan. It definitely improved his performance, but, not as much as my tune improved mine. The price difference between a stage 1 tune and this module isn't that much, but the difference is worth it because the tune adds changes to the transmission

  • @thadmurillo2256
    @thadmurillo2256 2 года назад +5

    I went straight to a apr stage plus tune on my '22. Huge difference just in going around town. The benefit is still getting a warranty from apr and the dealer did the work.

      Also, I got almost a 2 second bump in 0-60. 8.5 to 6.8 as I measured. 20 degrees out, so maybe a little faster in spring. Not sure I want the muffler delete, but looking into cat back systems

    Those tiguans are the same ea888 right? Are they 1.8 or 2.0? Do they have the is12 turbo? Interesting to see the speed differences

    • @DadWagon
      @DadWagon  2 года назад +1

      It's the 2.0 but the Gen3.B EA888 is my understanding (hopefully someone corrects me if I'm wrong). Produces slightly less HP, but torque is up a bit. I believe it's the Continental turbo.

    • @gabrieldetwiler7078

      @@DadWagon yes it is the 2.0 ea888 Gen 3b. It however uses an is20 turbo, at least on the one in the Tiguan. The 2.0 gen 3b non mqb in the beetle and Passat I think may use the continental turbo. Sadly not as moddable as the regular Gen 3 1.8/2.0

    first run (stock), in the first second the car was roling, and you didn't quite push the pedal so you lost 1 second, exatcly the second "gained" with the tune box... so does not seem like an improvement to me.
