My trick for the crispy cornflakes is to put half a portion, when you eat it doesn’t get that soggy, and then pour some more. I usually eat two big bowls (athlete 😂) and cornflakes is always crispy. Ut will probably work for other cereals too.

Growing up in the US, we always called porridge 'oatmeal.' We ate it really often for breakfast. My mom always put brown sugar, butter, and chocolate chips in it, and made it with milk instead of water. It made it more of a dessert than breakfast. Lol I always remember being really confused hearing about Goldylocks and the Three Bears growing up, because I always wondered what porridge was, and wanting to try it. Now I know it's just a fancy word for hot oatmeal. Lol

WOW, fantastic! I tried the savoury porridge for breakfast, so yummy! I never would have thought you could make porridge savoury. I feel so energized after eating that recipe. I have been trying to figure out a simple, affordable and nutritious breakfast, and this is it! Tofu can be quite pricey if you eat it everyday for breakfast, and oats are so healthy. A great replacement for eggs, it tastes like a cajun scramble, or an exquisite Indian dish. Thanks so much for this recipe! - A Vegan fan from Canada 😀

I ALWAYS eat porridge in the morning :) I don't have much time in the morning, so I prep it in the evening along with my lunch, fill it in a jar and take it with me - still delicous! I always make it with oatmilk, so it tastes naturally sweet, I love it that way. And my favourite topping is a compote made of cooked prunes/plums (I call it Zwetschge in Germany, I don't know what it's called exactly in English) along with ground flaxseed, walnuts and aometimes soy joghurt ;)

In the US it’s “oatmeal”. That savory recipe looks amazing! I never thought to make savory oatmeal, but I will have to try it! From a non-vegan, I love your channel and all your recipes! I’m definitely going to be incorporating more plant based meals in my diet. 😋😋

i really love the AlFez brand ras-el-hanout mix with porridge (and other things), i'm not usually a brand name person but that mix is hot, stock-cubey and floral, which sounds all wrong together but works perfectly, but i can't mix it myself
