shouldn't the heatsink and CPU have thermal grease cleaned off and re-applied?
Really helpful video , explained step by step Thanks
Very helpful I love this video thanks
Is it usually just the fan? or could there be something wrong with my heatpipe or coldplate? This laptop has been through quite a few drops lol
thx~
Can you replace the fan with an AMD Ryzen one?
Where do I find a fan replacement?
I have a model with a processor fan and slot for GPU fan. There is no fan in the slot. Would adding one improve the cooling at all?
Depends on what you use the laptop for. I have considered it, since the Radeon uses a lot of power and the laptop can get a little hot just from playing the Sims 4 LOL but when it comes to day-to-day working from home or homework, it is just fine with the factory fan
I have the same model and this heats up a lot, upto 100C. Maybe I should give it for service and get the thermal paste changed.
I'm having the same issue, and I get no battery warnings it just shuts off
@@DSCKottawa it does happen when the battery is dead but happens without warning. Not sure if I should just replace the thermal paste and try undo the fan myself or have it sent into a shop.
@@Demonheero360 Ah if the battery is dead it does turn off, if it's sudden then the battery has lost a significant amount of health, in my region I'd send it to the shop or they'll void the warranty on self-repair.
@@DSCKottawa true but I doubt I can claim the warranty. Thanks though
really helpful video , explained step by step Thanks
do you know the model of the battery of that laptop?
This laptop battery is fixed and not removable, unfortunately I don't have that info, Sorry.
@@vizvatec8745 thank youu
i was thinking to try and take out mine and turns out its possible, i got an info that the battery is LK03XL
What a terrible maintenance design of a cooling system! Why not just use a few screws to replace just a fan, without removing whole radiator!?.. Modern one-time use notebooks... I have similiar HP model...
