The officers had to go down the street to borrow guns as the ones they had were ineffective. Today LAPD has so many more resources such as robots, drones and shields to help them without putting officers in arms way. Additionally, working for the bank for 30 years, banks don't keep thousands and thousands of dollars at the bank. Most transactions are via ATM, credit cards or online (PayPal or vermo).

I kept thinking it was going to end soon but it continued for way longer than I anticipated. The LAPD had to go to a local gun store for ammo and weapons. That event is what made the LAPD think twice about their choice of 9mm firearms and shotguns being the only weapons they carried. They are now armed much better and would probably destroy those two individuals much quicker and with less injured personnel.

2A infringements did jack squat to make things safer and prevent this from happening.
None the less, as a nephew of a late LAPD officer, I respect the determination of the brave men of the Los Angels Police Department who, despite being out gunned, demonstrated unwavering determination to neutralize the suspects.

Your precious 2A rights have NEVER been infringed upon. Unless you count the states that don't require a gun owner to have the training that the 2A explicitly states you must have.

The last thing he wanted was to see him in court. They watched him bleed out for twenty minutes. Good riddance.

that shoot out changed many lives, I remember it like it was yesterday.
how they armored up, had some armor Piercing rounds, a ton of ammo, AK-47's and hand guns, body armor, and a false sense of entitlement
these guys were crazy, they planned this out for a long time. they injured a ton of people officers and civilians alike
if the officers didn't get weapons that were better caliber than what they had at the moment more people would surely have died as a result of this insane situation.
it was if I remember correctly gun stores that were giving officers weapons of a higher caliber . because they were clearly out gunned
    but not out numbered

Better caliber? 7.62x39 is without a doubt one of the best calibers for the range they were engaging at. Melts through a car like a hot knife through butter and soft body armor has no chance.

This Comment has been taken down several times and I'm taking video of it being taken.
Police actually let him bleed to death and prevented ambulance to help the shooter !
