Thanks for the uploads! This was the best era to be a cop that is for sure! Loving retirement now though! The Clinton comment about the cigar would have gotten us suspended now. No lie about the dead body call. Hair, skin, uniform, boots all stink to high Heaven after that. I swear I could smell it.
Former cop here. Not LAPD. An acquaintance of mine was actually shot during the filming of this series. He was a CRASH member. Fortunately it was a graze and he recovered nicely.
That Sgt. Brown Is a straight up idiot! I would hate to work for him. Officer Statts was a jerk also! He ended up marrying his partner Rena Frazer who was one of the prostitution sting girls. I knew these people back when I worked with them in the mid 1990’s, I’m glad most of these cops are gone they were so full of themselves!
In the 80's and early 90's it was, i lived in Mar Vista during the mid 80's and it was kinda lit. Sholine Crips had beef with everyone in LA, V13 always beefing with Culver & SM. Even early 2k's Sholine C's beefing with V13 on the reg. And constant shootouts on the V Boardwalk like three times a week in the summers. And don't forget about Venice Suicidal Tendencies gang, and smaller Skateboard crews that would hand out beatdowns.
@@westsyde_LA Definitely. I too am from the city. I’m well aware of the politics that you speak of. But the way this tv show tries to paint the picture of this being a war torn gang infested section of the city is plain lies. Yes there are pockets of active.. but the majority is multi million dollar homes and beach cities.
@@westsyde_LA 3 shootouts per week at Venice beach.. come on. But everything else yep. I think that there is only one point I made… pacific division is not like what the tv show tries to portray. Of course there are hot spots and hood problems.. no question but the whole division is not a war zone.
To the narrator of the video for future reference there is no EX Marine it's RETIRED Marine, once a Marine always a Marine. I love the videos please keep them comin 😊
Idk why they're shaking their heads about the guys guns all being loaded. An unloaded gun is useless to a homeowner. I guarantee the guns they have are loaded...
Those are the kind of cops who get a stiffy violating someone’s 2A rights, and would go along with gun confiscation if given the order to. Most cops are pro 2A when it applies to cops, not us pesky citizens.
The attitude of the cop that he is right and the dead guy is wrong is the root of the police problem, he was not a criminal & did't use the weapons illegally so why is he the bad guy but the cop is the good guy? If they expect respect they need to show respect and lead by example. Tough job and I appreciate them but they need to hold each other to the standards they expect from the public.
I'm pretty sure you know nothing about the Situation. You saw 10 minutes of footage and thats it. Pretty sure you would share some values with the dead guy and thats why you almost take it Personal. The cop can think whatever he wants, same as any other citizen and i'm pretty sure the cops knew him.

Literally just woke up and watched another episode of The Real LAPD.
I used to do it in a lunch, lol
@Toxicalpatris,s ot
Sgt Brown to his wife on the phone "Have you chosen a new kitchen? And how much is that going to cost us?" His partner bursts out laughing, lol.
When I see officers carrying Beretta’s and S&W autos, that’s a definite throwback for me
A guy at our PD still carries a beretta. It’s a 92x but still

The camera quality really surprised me. Whatever they recorded these episodes on is awesome. Considering these episodes are from 1999 - 2000 .
Cameras/video recorders had evolved quite significantly by 1999-2000 ... you must be relatively young, perhaps.
Additionally, I'm pretty sure this could have been digitally enhanced.

@@elLocodelsubteI have a playlist called 80s/90s videos. I want to rewatch this video.

there was public support in the 80s and mid-90s to be sure
are u in the video?
Welcome to the 1990's LA style. Thanks for the upload.

Thank you and your acquaintance for your service ❤
Would be nice, if you could add the TV series year into the description or in the video title.
KEEP THESE COMING 💪🏽💯
Gotcha!
I look forward to these before roll call lol

Absolutely loving these! Well done on the video transfer as well!
Thanks for another episode, this is my new morning routine 💯
God forbid an American have the right to own a gun.
Good to know labeling gun owning survivalist as nutjobs isn't a new thing, especially in California

i remember these days clearly from my childhood
me too G.
Keep posting more of these man.
The guy Porter is really in love with himself
is that a bad thing?
By disciplining a cop?
Thanks again for the upload!
Looks like black talon Rounds. 200 miles to shoot. There are open ranges in la county
You can tell it’s an old video by the fact that they are using an unmodified FAL
Yes, this is right around the time when Commeifornia was coming into it's own.
22:33 GNARLY 🤢🤢🤢🤢
When the police could do their jobs without being belittled and harassed
Tough boy gang members have to wait until an officer is away before they sneak out in the middle of the night to spray paint the house.
Why don't you grow a pair and deal with it yourself? Scared? Imagine having to call other men with guns to save you like a coward.
The chase at the beginning really reminded me of end of watch
Keep ‘em coming 👍🏼
The pacific division is ABSOLUTELY NOT crime ridden or dangerous.
