Darkglass is becoming one of the top names in bass equipment nowadays and for good reason. Also the EQ settings of how the bass guitar sits in the mix with the other guitars is really important for this kind of tone. It's just something you have to play around with yourself and figure out what works best with your equipment. Search around RUclips. Hope this helps!

When I need my occasional total metal fix, I like to watch this, so weird and cool! Vai emotes sounds out of the guitar that no one else can! Kind of in a class by himself, in concert, he literally melted my brain with his whammy bar, LOL! But seriously, this tune is a heavy metal/rock masterpiece, it really sounds too cool! You really feel the power!!! Bravo to Steve, you're a total monster!

Can see the passion for his art in his face, even covered in gold paint. One reason I know my dad is DEFINATELY my dad is that when I showed him this song for the first time, I told him it's an instrumental, and he replied "What about the horse?" No mistakin that.
The real horse is a sampled horse. Tell your Dad, it is like Ferris Buellers Day Off when pressing the keyboard came the coughs. But, this is decades of better technology for redoing the real horse that appears in parts of the song.
When he's on the chorus, he moves how I imagine this massive, bad horse just strutting around like he owns the ground he walks on. 🫠 I love this song so much.

The foggy atmosphere, the missed whammy parts, the silver paint on everything, the tuning and overall heaviness of the song (without any vocals mind you) just make this so attention grabbing.
