Enjoy watching the process of updating bios. Followed your process prior to xmas on b550 carbon mb before upgrading my pc. Having followed your msi center tutorial for live updates I checked again today and did the msi center bios update. Not sure which was more nerve wracking lol Plus resetting xmp, fans, pcie gen etc. Thanks for your continued thorough tutorials Mike and Kath 🐈👍

Hi Mike. I bought a 14700K and a MSI Z790 Tomahawk wifi (ddr5). Which bios version should I instal? The last one version or the version for 14th gen? I asked you because between de 14th version and de recent version there are others in the middle. Sorry for my English. Regards from Argentina.
either way is fine, like i said if it doesn't flash, with a blank board there is only a few things to check. The more that is installed the more can go wrong
Bit of a noob question, will the latest BIOS include all the changes of previously released BIOS'? Because there might be few updates between the Motherboards original BIOS & the latest one on the website.
Do you remember, maybe 20 years ago, there was a board with an OS integrated in the bios.. It was Asus express gate iirc.. I don't know why I just thought of that.. 🙄
Hi, Mike. Isn't ironic that Microsoft, is forcing us to have TPM2.0 and secure boot to use Windows 11, still has known file types hidden by default? *sniff, sniff* I think I smell a rat. In other news... Today is my 34th anniversary. I've officially been with my bed warmer, too damn long. LOL

Do you by any chance know if the BIOS flashing can be done with the CPU fitted? Or is it best on the safe side to do it without it fitted?

Hi I’m having a problem when I do everything my mother board just does one click then turns off then nothing happens
sounds like a short circuit to me maybe a bad PSU
Question what if my motherboard doesn't have a bios button or a dedicated USB port.
You need to buy a compatible cpu or apu to be able to flash the bios

yes the newest version is a inclusive version that just builds on the previous releases

probably will work okay but if it doesn't the fault finding is much harder
