I just want to say THANK YOU for your videos, especially this one! Because of your advice, I am now a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated! 🐘🔺I was initiated on 4/29/2023 😁
Your videos have been super, super helpful. I had my interview this past Saturday and I'm trying not to think about it & keep myself busy. The good thing is I know what to do when I get the call (YES! I am speaking it into existence!!!). I will keep it to myself until I go to the intake meeting and see everyone else who was invited unless the other invitee friend(s) tell me they were first. Thank you!!!
Currently waiting on "the call"! I had my interview this past Saturday and I'm so anxious. Fingers crossed I make it 🤞🏾and thank you for your videos! Extremely helpful 😄
Like you said each org has a tight timeline of when to do things, but how long does it take to receive THEE CALL after your interview. I feel like the waiting time is the hardest part. I try not to think about it but some how I get sucked back in
The organization I want to join is by invitation only. I’ve been to pretty much all the events last semester and the one they had this semester. Should I be worried that they already selected the girls they want on line and should I reach out to a member of that organization?
Intake start dates can be between Jan. and Feb. so there's a possibly that they haven't started yet. If you know someone in the chapter that you're comfortable with talking to about intake, then I don't see a problem with asking her. Use discretion when asking; don't blatantly ask if they're having a line as this is bad form. Instead, ask if they're any upcoming interest meetings (not formals as these require invitations) that you can attend.
NEW SUBBIE!! You have provided me with such great insight and information. I'm new to my area and interested in Grad Chapter. My BFF is already with one of the Grad Chapters; however, her chapter is at least 50 miles away. She recommended that I get sponsored in through her chapter VICE the chapter nearest me...but I'm concerned that I won't be as active due to distance!! Any thoughts?!?!? Recommendations?!?! I'm getting my stuff together in the event they have a line by the end of this year.
I think you should take into consideration the distance. It's good to know that you have a friend that's willing to help you. If you decide to go with the chapter that's further away, be honest about your concern with the distance. Check out my video on choosing between two grad chapters ruclips.net/video/HZ-3m8usvto/видео.html
Check out my videos on GPAs and your organization's membership requirements. The chapter will review your cumulative GPA; some organizations will look specifically at the institution that you're enrolled.
You better call back! Lol. Yes, I think it’s safe to say that if you do not receive a second call (bc it’s not likely that you’ll receive a voicemail), then you missed your opportunity.

I can’t speak for all organizations, but give it a week (minimum). And try to do something that occupies your mind in the meantime.
Waiting for "The Call" ⏳👀📱👀.
Great tips...great video!
Thank you!
Did you get the call?
@@ScorpioBeauty Yes, I got the call and now have been a member of my sorority for 4 years.

KelsTells How long does it take after the interest meeting to get an interview?
It depends on the chapter’s timeline. Can be anywhere from 1 day to 1 week.

What comes after the background check process?
You're notified of your acceptance or declination
What about the GPA for transfer 🤔 students? Is it depended upon your last GPA at the community college or the school you're transferring from?

This what I always worry about.. my undergrad gpa was not a 2.5 but I still graduated.. should I do retakes
Check out my video on transcripts. There’s info on GPAs that will help you
