Having Tony (S28) and Adam in relatively high tiers shows a difference between the casual viewer and the Edgic viewer. Edgic completely dismissed those two, having Tony the 4th place contender out of 4 and Adam the 5th place contender out of 6 entering their respective finales.
unpopular opinion: Jenna Morasca did nothing wrong. its all edit. she never actually did anything bad if u think abt it. Christy tried to gaslight Jenna and us into thinking Jenna said "being hot is a disability" when she never said that. Rob said it to mock Jenna when Jenna pointed out that being a young attractive women, she is perceived as being stupid and neive and not in control of her game. she even said this to Christy in her jury question. she said "i dont think i said that" and Christy said "u did" (lies) so Jenna had to bite the bullet and be like "ok well what i meant by that was....." and i think her answer was still good enough cuz she got Christy's jury vote even tho Christy vowed to make sure Jenna and Heidi didnt win in her final words. also the chocolate and PB situation was coercion and totally out of line by the producers and they owe her and Heidi an apology
I don’t know if it’s just me but I literally felt like Bob was winning very early on the season or at the very least was a heavily contender. I don’t know what it was but if I had to guess I feel like it’s mostly because it seemed like they were going for the “elderly man wins angle” and he was just generally set up as a really likeable guy which is usually what winner gets.
This is how it was for me when I watched the season for the first time: Borneo: I got spoiled so I knew Hatch would win rip Australia: I had no idea Tina would win and I was expecting Colby to do so. Very surprising Africa: I think Ethan was my first predictable winner. I think I called it very early also because the other tribe was such a mess and full of jerks so there was plenty of people to dismiss Marquesas: At first I thought Boston Rob would win because I knew he would comeback a lot but I was surprised to see him going before the jury. Then my winner pick was Sean but I was surprised once again and I think Vecepia was a great winner and also unexpected Thailand: I was actually rooting for Brian to get voted out because I knew he was the most likely to win. He made it look easy and a little boring Amazon: this is probably the first time I was shocked to see the winner. Not in a million years I would have predicted Jenna to win and even less to win by a landslide. Pearl Island: I was also spoiled about this one but I think it was kinda surprising to see a player like Sandra winning the whole thing even with some clues thrown here and there All Stars: I think this was very predictable that it was going to be Rob or Amber winning and no one did anything to stop it ending up as probably one of the most predictable winners ever Vanuatu: After the first episode I thought Chris had no chance of winning. Another huge surprise in here, probably the biggest so far considering all the stuff he went through Palau: Tom was always the frontrunner and for that reason I was thinking he was going to get voted out at final 3 or something like that but he actually made it to the final. Very surprising to see the leader of the tribe winning the whole thing Guatemala: At first I thought Stephanie was winning but they keep showing her worst moments so I gradually shifted towards Danny. I guess this is kinda in the middle Panama: Aras was very surprising to me. He never got a lot of winner moments and it always seemed like Terry would take it. Cook Islands: Yul was a very predictable winner. He had the super idol so every episode he had it you knew he would stay. I wasn't expecting Ozzy to make the FTC tho. I thought he would lose the last immunity or something. Still very predictable overall Fiji: Earl had so many helicopter shots that it was impossible to think he wouldn't win the season lol China: Todd from the very start was the strategic mastermind and I thought he would end exactly like Rob Cesternino and make Amanda or even Courtney the winner. I was not expecting Todd to win although I was expecting him to make it really far Micronesia: Parvati was actually a shocker for me because I was always thinking that Cirie or Amanda were going to win. Something about her editing just made it look like she was going to lose in a FTC vote but I guess Amanda just sucks at speaking to the jury lol Gabon: One of the biggest surprises ever. Bob was not even in my top 5 contenders for most of the season! A really fitting winner for Gabon Tocantins: Okay another predictable winner. Maybe not so much as others because I thought Stephen could take it but the editing Always made JT look like the golden boy and of course he got the perfect game Samoa: I only knew that Russell was absolutely never going to win lmao. I think the editing did Natalie very dirty and tbh no one here seemed to be what you expect from a survivor winner. So yeah, Natalie winning was kinda unexpected until like the final 6 when she was the only realistic option HvV: I also got spoiled but even watching the season I was surprised at how invisible Sandra was at the beginning so I think it was very surprising Nicaragua: Another WTF winner. I can't believe someone nicknamed Fabio actually won survivor Redemption island: Most predictable winner ever South Pacific: I thought this was going to be redemption island again but with Ozzy but I was proven wrong thanks to Sophie and I love her as a winner because I think she even blindsided the production One world: A very predictable winner. She just dominated the game and there were lots of duds in this season Philippines: This was a 50/50 between Denise and Malcolm around the merge or so but I have to admit that in the premerge I was not expecting anyone from the blue tribe to win it all Caramoan: I don't remember much from this season other than not liking it and having another predictable winner. Since this is a Fans vs Favs you already know there are only 10 players who can actually win, then take out Philip and Brandon so you only have 8 and Cochran just kept having the cool confessionals I guess Blood vs Water: I think it was very predictable to see Tyson winning specially by how the edit treated him once his girlfriend was voted out Cagayan: Huge surprise here because Tony is very different from previous winners. Someone like Tony shouldn't be able to make it all the way to the end but he somehow did it San Juan del Sur: I thought Natalie was going to be voted out pretty quickly specially after her twin sister was the first person out. Every episode she stayed I was being blindsided so she's pretty high on my list for most surprising Worlds Apart: Mike was a cool winner but also very predictable. He was in the minority for a lot of the time but the edit kinda give away that he would just keep winning immunities. Also I kinda knew that there was no way anyone else was winning seeing how negative their edits were other than Mama C maybe Cambodia: I actually called Jeremy to be the winner in episode 1 so I think this was very predictable but not as much as some others Kaoh Rong: Like many others I was expecting Aubry to win. I was very shocked to see Michelle winning although it makes more sense when rewatching the season MvsGX: Adam was my favorite player but I knew there was no way he wins. Thankfully I was proven wrong and the super fan actually won survivor. Very different from previous winners and I love it Game Changers: From the start Sarah wasn't on my radar and it keep this way until the merge. I guess she was kinda surprising for some but predictable for others, I was definitely surprised but Sarah was still in the top contenders lost for me, at least in the merge HvsHvsH: Another huge surprise I guess but by how much they were hyping up Ben, in hindsight maybe it was obvious. I was definitely surprised because I thought he would be gone at the final 4 Ghost island: This was Wendell and Dominick season. I was team Dom but I knew if it wasn't him it would be Wendell. Really predictable duo making it to the end DvsG: Nick I predicted him to be the winner in episode 1 and despite kinda being in trouble, the edit just seem to put him as the most likely to win. Very predictable overall EoE: No way I could see this one coming other than in the final episode. Even before the challenge started they keep cutting to Chris face so that made it pretty obvious that he would comeback. And then after that I think it was fairly obvious he was winning. Still a huge surprise for 99% of the season Island of the idols: Tommy might be the most predictable and boring winner there is. Since day 1 you can just tell he's going to win. Nothing much to say Winners at war: I would have never predicted Tony to be the two time winners. That's just insane. But I do think the show made it kinda obvious around the merge and during the finale it was a no brained that Tony was going to win even with EoE still at play here. 41: Erika was a huge surprise. Only before the finale I put her as my winner pick so yeah, she would go pretty high on my list 42: Maryanne was another surprise but not as much as Erika. At the start I was not Seeing Maryanne as the winner but as the season progressed it just made sense 43: Gabe was a huge blindside, not even during the finale I could have predicted Gabe to win. He may be my top pick for most unexpected winner because even at the FTC I was shocked when they revealed the votes 44: Yam Yam was the opposite of Gave. Yam Yam was the obvious pick to win from the start and he did. There was also Carolyn who could also win but Yam Yam was always above her 45: Dee was kinda surprising but I don't remember or care much about this season so idk 46: Kenzie was another predictable one for me. Very similar to Yam Yam. Some people thought that Charlie could have gotten it but to me that just seemed impossible. I was actually surprised that Charlie made it to the FTC instead of getting 4th but Kenzie was winning no matter what
As a casual fan I have tried to pick a winner before the show starts 4 times. The first three times I picked Erika, Maryanne, and then Kenzie. This time I picked out Genevieve so we will see what happens! I'm feeling good about it.
@@johnsmith2875 I still have hope for Teeny, but I will say Genevieve has had a pretty good last couple episodes. I just wish she got a little more focus earlier in the game for me to have her as a top 5 choice.
Since I feel like edgic has a big part in this, I feel like one thing interesting about Yam Yam’s win is that he had the EXACT same storyline as Cassidy the season prior. Cassidy truthers thought it was so pivotal to her storyline that she kept saying “everyone who targets me goes home” and Yam Yam kept saying the same thing, which threw some people off. I think a major underrated difference in the edgic community was that 43 was unspoiled while 44 was HEAVILY spoiled, so unspoiled cassidy truthers from 43 thought it was unlikely yam yam would win. That’s my weird insight from someone who’s never been spoiled but is also heavily ingrained in edgic.
"Bob was on no-one's radar." Picked him from the very first episode as the only player with anything approaching a "winner's edit", thought it was massively obvious who was going to win throughout, even thought pre-show that the producers had thrown out hints at to an older winner. Putting him alongside Jenna (who I didn't pick and neither did anybody else I think!) seems ridiculous to me. But hey, that's why it's subjective. Other than this, I agree with most picks, except that Natalie White seemed like the front-runner against Russell the moment she organised a blindside of the opposing tribe (can't remember whose now) and Russell took credit for it. Big red flag there. Still... the fact that she was practically invisible outside of this moment for the majority of the game... it was difficult to believe she'd win, even when it looked inevitable because Russell and MIck had obviously tanked their game with the jury.
31:36 Ironically, I knew that he had the win in his pocket by the final 8. Before then, I was riding the Jesse train but after he blindsided Noelle where he seemed to get a LOT of credit according to the edit despite him not really doing anything that's when I felt he had a 75% chance of winning, which just increased every episode (not including the F6 episode cuz Jesse). The moment he was donating the money to veterans in the finale that's when there was no doubt in my mind. I didn't even take a peek at the Edgic too lol.
@@myreports5958 The point I started really considering it was the episode right after the Elie vote off. Not only was he made to look good for that, but that whole next episode was glowing for him, especially his Immunity win, what with him dedicating each minute to someone and all that.
another list where strategic ability is the only aspect of the game considered. Everyone acts like "Bob was so out of left field because he didn't play a strong strategic game", but bro won 5 straight challenges and other than a few bumps with Randy and Kenny he tried to be as nice to people as he possibly could. Meanwhile, you had everyone else on that season making enemies of each other. People just have no respect for players who don't play a flashy strategic game because it's not as entertaining.
for the same reason tommy is in the top tier i think michele deserves to be at least in the tier below, the only reason i would say she isnt in the top is bc there was no “teaching with tommy” equivalent for michele however if you’re paying attention to more than just aubry’s never-ending metaphors, michele was given so much unnecessary content and pretty much every episode we checked in on her game for seemingly no reason making her the textbook UTR winner edit in my eyes
Natalie White made me come up with a term I call "Killing the rat": a single confessional that a very UTR player (usually a girl) has, that really has no real reason to be - unless they're winning the game. Sophie had one with her views on Coach turning Upolu into a cult, Erika had one during the failed throwing episode, I believe Gabler had one too but we were all obsessed with women getting the UTR edit, so instead everyone focused on Cassidy.
The spoilers for HvHvH were incredibly wrong, but they said there was no way Ben would win (we went back and forth on Devon and Lauren). Worlds Apart had spoilers saying a Rodney, Dan, and Will final 3. Most Kaoh Rong spoilers said Michele was voted out at 4 and Julia beat Jason and Scot in final 3.
@@matthewhecht9257 Moral of the story. Don’t trust Survivor spoilers. Supposedly, before Redemption Island aired, it was said that Rob was going to be idoled out at the first Tribal. Yeah… about that.

Richard Hatch was painfully obvious to me even back then - he was literally the only one there who understood what they were actually there to do - if you didn't take his not-so-subtle "I've already won this thing they just need to write the check and hand it to me" confessional on day 1 seriously, you'll certainly know it by the time he elects to not participate in the final 3 immunity challenge
I was one of those in the minority who chose Erica as the winner. I stuck to her immediately. My dad called her snow white one episode cause of her top and that was when I decided she was my winner. I wish her and Heather were edited better

Experts tell me why Tommy is so high class. I thought that Dean is better winner. Tommys win is deserved that season but not belong upper that Contender
I feel like Dee should be lower on this list simply due to how dominant Emily was as a contender up until her boot. From episodes 2-10, Emily's the top contender, and while Dee is the top pick after that, Kenzie was the top pick from the merge all the way until the end, so I'd swap them around.
@@cblazerc Yeah, after some thought, if I could redo it, I’d probably put Kenzie in Dee’s spot and then put Dee more toward the bottom of that tier.
Nice opinion, I thought I was the only one that noticed that..
I just fidn Brians win underrated in a modern season, he prob sweeps the final 3 that season by sheer gameplay alone
EVERYTHING ON HERE IS PRETTY AGREEABLE.
As far as Gabler goes he was my number 1 pick in any final 3 combination that didn't include Jessie
Good list!
This is how it was for me when I watched the season for the first time:
Borneo: I got spoiled so I knew Hatch would win rip
Australia: I had no idea Tina would win and I was expecting Colby to do so. Very surprising
Africa: I think Ethan was my first predictable winner. I think I called it very early also because the other tribe was such a mess and full of jerks so there was plenty of people to dismiss
Marquesas: At first I thought Boston Rob would win because I knew he would comeback a lot but I was surprised to see him going before the jury. Then my winner pick was Sean but I was surprised once again and I think Vecepia was a great winner and also unexpected
Thailand: I was actually rooting for Brian to get voted out because I knew he was the most likely to win. He made it look easy and a little boring
Amazon: this is probably the first time I was shocked to see the winner. Not in a million years I would have predicted Jenna to win and even less to win by a landslide.
Pearl Island: I was also spoiled about this one but I think it was kinda surprising to see a player like Sandra winning the whole thing even with some clues thrown here and there
All Stars: I think this was very predictable that it was going to be Rob or Amber winning and no one did anything to stop it ending up as probably one of the most predictable winners ever
Vanuatu: After the first episode I thought Chris had no chance of winning. Another huge surprise in here, probably the biggest so far considering all the stuff he went through
Palau: Tom was always the frontrunner and for that reason I was thinking he was going to get voted out at final 3 or something like that but he actually made it to the final. Very surprising to see the leader of the tribe winning the whole thing
Guatemala: At first I thought Stephanie was winning but they keep showing her worst moments so I gradually shifted towards Danny. I guess this is kinda in the middle
Panama: Aras was very surprising to me.
Still very predictable overall
Fiji: Earl had so many helicopter shots that it was impossible to think he wouldn't win the season lol
China: Todd from the very start was the strategic mastermind and I thought he would end exactly like Rob Cesternino and make Amanda or even Courtney the winner. I was not expecting Todd to win although I was expecting him to make it really far
Micronesia: Parvati was actually a shocker for me because I was always thinking that Cirie or Amanda were going to win. Something about her editing just made it look like she was going to lose in a FTC vote but I guess Amanda just sucks at speaking to the jury lol
Gabon: One of the biggest surprises ever. Bob was not even in my top 5 contenders for most of the season! A really fitting winner for Gabon
Tocantins: Okay another predictable winner. Maybe not so much as others because I thought Stephen could take it but the editing Always made JT look like the golden boy and of course he got the perfect game
Samoa: I only knew that Russell was absolutely never going to win lmao. I think the editing did Natalie very dirty and tbh no one here seemed to be what you expect from a survivor winner. So yeah, Natalie winning was kinda unexpected until like the final 6 when she was the only realistic option
HvV: I also got spoiled but even watching the season I was surprised at how invisible Sandra was at the beginning so I think it was very surprising
Nicaragua: Another WTF winner. I can't believe someone nicknamed Fabio actually won survivor
Redemption island: Most predictable winner ever
South Pacific: I thought this was going to be redemption island again but with Ozzy but I was proven wrong thanks to Sophie and I love her as a winner because I think she even blindsided the production
One world: A very predictable winner. She just dominated the game and there were lots of duds in this season
Philippines: This was a 50/50 between Denise and Malcolm around the merge or so but I have to admit that in the premerge I was not expecting anyone from the blue tribe to win it all
Caramoan: I don't remember much from this season other than not liking it and having another predictable winner. Since this is a Fans vs Favs you already know there are only 10 players who can actually win, then take out Philip and Brandon so you only have 8 and Cochran just kept having the cool confessionals I guess
Blood vs Water: I think it was very predictable to see Tyson winning specially by how the edit treated him once his girlfriend was voted out
Cagayan: Huge surprise here because Tony is very different from previous winners. Someone like Tony shouldn't be able to make it all the way to the end but he somehow did it
San Juan del Sur: I thought Natalie was going to be voted out pretty quickly specially after her twin sister was the first person out. Every episode she stayed I was being blindsided so she's pretty high on my list for most surprising
Worlds Apart: Mike was a cool winner but also very predictable. He was in the minority for a lot of the time but the edit kinda give away that he would just keep winning immunities. Also I kinda knew that there was no way anyone else was winning seeing how negative their edits were other than Mama C maybe
Cambodia: I actually called Jeremy to be the winner in episode 1 so I think this was very predictable but not as much as some others
Kaoh Rong: Like many others I was expecting Aubry to win. I was very shocked to see Michelle winning although it makes more sense when rewatching the season
MvsGX: Adam was my favorite player but I knew there was no way he wins. Thankfully I was proven wrong and the super fan actually won survivor. Very different from previous winners and I love it
Game Changers: From the start Sarah wasn't on my radar and it keep this way until the merge. I guess she was kinda surprising for some but predictable for others, I was definitely surprised but Sarah was still in the top contenders lost for me, at least in the merge
HvsHvsH: Another huge surprise I guess but by how much they were hyping up Ben, in hindsight maybe it was obvious. I was definitely surprised because I thought he would be gone at the final 4
Ghost island: This was Wendell and Dominick season. I was team Dom but I knew if it wasn't him it would be Wendell. Really predictable duo making it to the end
DvsG: Nick I predicted him to be the winner in episode 1 and despite kinda being in trouble, the edit just seem to put him as the most likely to win. Very predictable overall
EoE: No way I could see this one coming other than in the final episode. Even before the challenge started they keep cutting to Chris face so that made it pretty obvious that he would comeback. And then after that I think it was fairly obvious he was winning. Still a huge surprise for 99% of the season
Island of the idols: Tommy might be the most predictable and boring winner there is. Since day 1 you can just tell he's going to win. Nothing much to say
Winners at war: I would have never predicted Tony to be the two time winners. That's just insane. But I do think the show made it kinda obvious around the merge and during the finale it was a no brained that Tony was going to win even with EoE still at play here.
41: Erika was a huge surprise. Only before the finale I put her as my winner pick so yeah, she would go pretty high on my list
42: Maryanne was another surprise but not as much as Erika. At the start I was not Seeing Maryanne as the winner but as the season progressed it just made sense
43: Gabe was a huge blindside, not even during the finale I could have predicted Gabe to win. He may be my top pick for most unexpected winner because even at the FTC I was shocked when they revealed the votes
44: Yam Yam was the opposite of Gave. Yam Yam was the obvious pick to win from the start and he did. There was also Carolyn who could also win but Yam Yam was always above her
45: Dee was kinda surprising but I don't remember or care much about this season so idk
46: Kenzie was another predictable one for me. Very similar to Yam Yam. Some people thought that Charlie could have gotten it but to me that just seemed impossible. I was actually surprised that Charlie made it to the FTC instead of getting 4th but Kenzie was winning no matter what
Loved seeing you go through each season, like to read other people’s takes on the winner !
Chris was a far shot thinking he had to beat joe in a challenge to get back in
Since I feel like edgic has a big part in this, I feel like one thing interesting about Yam Yam’s win is that he had the EXACT same storyline as Cassidy the season prior. That’s my weird insight from someone who’s never been spoiled but is also heavily ingrained in edgic.
i know pretty much no survivor lore (was a casual viewer when i was maybe like 7-14 years old?) yet for some reason i watched this entire video lol
Not putting either of Tony’s in the top tier is crazy😭
"Bob was on no-one's radar."
Picked him from the very first episode as the only player with anything approaching a "winner's edit", thought it was massively obvious who was going to win throughout, even thought pre-show that the producers had thrown out hints at to an older winner.
I think a winner on a ok cast should be orange but a winner on a great cast should be yellow
another list where strategic ability is the only aspect of the game considered.
"Tyson had a strong premiere" he was hardly in the premiere?
@@Roachn8r The spoiler I heard is Rob and Russell would both be given immunity all the way to the merge. Bullet avoided right there. HvHvH's spoiler reddit was a ton of fun, as we were just wild mass guessing and having a blast. Huge contrast to Edge of Extinction, which was just awful.
9:40 Parvati in the HvV merge says hi
She can say bye, because Tony stomps.
Are you Ian Terry? I closed my eyes and that’s all I can hear.
@@iCeddybear94 Alas, no. I am not a Big Brother winner, as far as you know ;)
I feel like Yul was the most obvious win I was confident he would win since the start

Richard Hatch was painfully obvious to me even back then - he was literally the only one there who understood what they were actually there to do - if you didn't take his not-so-subtle "I've already won this thing they just need to write the check and hand it to me" confessional on day 1 seriously, you'll certainly know it by the time he elects to not participate in the final 3 immunity challenge
i still feel that check quote of his is a mandela effect
@@jodeboyd8386 the exact wording was "I've got the million dollar check written already, I'm the winner"
Tony's first win super obvious
I was one of those in the minority who chose Erica as the winner. I stuck to her immediately. My dad called her snow white one episode cause of her top and that was when I decided she was my winner. I wish her and Heather were edited better
@@kwynn1016 Yes, let’s purple the winner’s number 1 ally! That sounds like a great idea!
I dont know why, but when I first watched Gabon I really, REALLY thought Suzie had the win. Considering she only lost by 1 vote I somewhat get it, but in hindsight I now completely understand why she lost 🤣
i knew what last place would get
Earl is one of my favorites but he benefited from Yau Man getting screwed over by Dreamz. That would have been close.
@@jWh8 I don’t who to trust on this front. At the reunion, the Jury said the Yau Man would win, but I’ve heard others say that Earl still wins, assuming he still makes it to the F3.

i guessed Natalie white and sophie
Though, in Dee’s favor, I do remember a lot of buzz around her for 2 things:
1. Her name being the only one on the top in the intro
2. As dumb as it sounds, her “big toes” plot point paying off
So, maybe those clouded my judgment. Who’s to say?
@@Roachn8r Kenzie was also the only one in the 46 intro who had her name in gold instead of bronze, so she had those kinds of hints too.
Emily was always a fan favorite that wasn't gonna win.
@@jWh8 that can only be said in hindsight. her edit lined up perfectly with most new era winners. as it turns out, it was too perfectly.

Sorry rant over
I still can't get over gabler winning over Cassidy
