I'm fighting for my life over here brother (39:01)
The biggest villians are Dave and Dan. A truly legendary villian's arc taking 8 seasons to evolve😂
With the perfectly karmic comeuppance at the end of it all.
don't forget the hidden main villain, Geroge RR Martin who didn't finish the story on time and until this day
@@petterblack1351”hidden”
yep😆
i still haven't watched the last episode of S8. watched uncollected rubbish on the roadside for, how many episodes before it, already.
I was wondering why i havent watched this video only to realise it was uploaded 10min ago
Same! I didn’t realize it was posted only 30 minutes ago until I saw your comment
Same here
same for me but its been 2 hours lol
Lol I do this a lot too with his vids I’m like I know I would have seen that but wait it was just uploaded nvm 😂
Same 😂😂😂 i love supercuts got videos
David and Dan are the real villains
I'm ashamed of myself for not including them on this list
@@SupercutsDelightNah...we kinda take it for granted already that they are the the main villains of the show lol😉
@@SupercutsDelightyeah man i can't believeeeee you missed that opportunity lol
Can we please have one game of thrones video without the same ass comments. Yeah we get it the ending sucks but shut the fuck up about already
@@SupercutsDelight I guess you just...kind of, forgot about David And Dan.
Tywin is so great because he is actually cunning. His one character flaw of hating his only child who actually inherited his impressive intellect is what gets him killed. What poetry
That "cersei got mad at him hacking so he turned off his aimbot" line, was delivered perfectly.
Tywin fookin Lannister
Tywin the God damm highwind
Tywin hands down. A menace in every bit of screen time he had and the most important of all - died before D&D could butcher him
Yeah every character eventually got ruined lol thank god Tywin and Joffrey were spared and Ned
And Robb and Caitlyn
"Every nanosecond this character is on screen is a feast for the audience." couldn't express my feelings any better.
Game of Thrones is so long gone now...WHY do I keep clicking on those videos, damn it
Cause *pop* quality content you know, either to shit on (seasons 5-8) or praise (1-4)
That’s my way of revisiting the series without actually watching it, it was a top series for me once
Cersei Lannister is the greatest female villain in the history of cinema and I will stand by that until the day I die. She was just incredible.
shame she died by bricks
by a mile
No, Nurse Ratched from One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.
@@kristofferjonshult7795THIS
Wish she got to do something after her incredible arc in season 6, that season finale is still one of the best episodes of television I’ve ever seen.
Charles Dance is possibly the best casting of a character possible
He single-handedly made show Tywin better than book one.
Iwan Rheon said that he took inspiration from the character Alex DeLarge (Malcolm McDowell) in A Clockwork Orange
to play Ramsey Bolton.
Makes sense lol
Well, well, well, well, well, well, well
Joffrey is my fav. i know everyone hates him but he made the show interesting every time he was on screen
He’s supposed to be hated, and he did a great job being hateable
You love to hate him.
A well written and perfectly acted villain!
Exactly. Even Tywin had good sides to him, there are many viewers who liked him. But literally everyone hates Joffrey. That makes him the best villian in the story. Same for the actor...he was literally threatened because peoplegot triggered by his face alone. No one else managed that.
17:19 in the books if I remember correctly it is not ambiguous at all. She specifically said that if Drogo tears off the bandage she used to treat him he will die. Which he of course does like 2 paragraphs later.
They also put a bunch of mud in the wound as treatment 😂. Homeboy died of completely avoidable sepsis.
I can't believe Stannis or Melisandre couldn't even make it to top 40...
Stannis should totally be on there. Melisandre is excused as she helped the good guys in the final battle against the dead
@@BenRangelif you still think there are 'good guys', you missed the point
@@gelatinouscube2342 I get it, but this list was about Villains so I’m leaning into it
Stannis isn't really a villain
One character that you missed, who i really enjoy is Rickard Karstark. He greatly pushes the King in the North plotline. he is quite understandable in his actions, but they are also appalling. His constant questioning of Robb creates great tension in the warcamp, and his eventual betrayal and execution really progress Robb as a character and as a leader.
Not to mention the fact he progresses both the Catlyn Stark AND Jaime Lannister plots extensively.
100% agree with you on Euron. On top of that, I think all you have to do to fix him is call him Osmund Kettleblack.
This channel is my crackcokaine
You should try the real thing! Next thing you know, you’re a liberal getting free stuff
The whole video is fantastic but the emphasis on "SINGLEHANDEDLY" when discussing Locke sent me through the roof xD.
Great video and it absolutely wasn’t too long! Always a pleasure to hear you explain your thoughts
i listen to the assassin's creed 2 and brotherhood soundtracks all the time and instantly recognized that. These song are coming back.
Wow, didn't clock until you said
I thought I could hear that in the background 😩
Pretty nostalgic tracks.
I didn't know I needed this video until it was out
Your channel is so good, i cant stop watching 😅
Excellent video as always.
Glad to hear you talk about characters like Locke, Karl Tanner and Myranda, I always liked them and I thought they were underrated villains
Cersei and Tywin are my two favorites, I would say that those two actors gave the best performance out of any character in the show by far
LETS GOO NEW SUPERCUTS VIDEO
The apple didn’t fall far from the tree with Tywin and Cersei Lannister. Poisonous throughout the series.
Fantastic list.
This list was Awesome, thanks!
allister's picture made me chuckle, thank you sir. good video
6:40 also note that Dany just says "i'm Drogo's widow" and he just believes her. He doesn't even consider the idea she may be lying :)
it was pretty well known that he married a dragon queen i think or at least a foreigner
The ac 2 music at the background gives me joy
That soundtrack is so insanely good!
The work you do does not go unappreciated.
I LOVE your content! Always have always will
Ooo this looks like fun, I'm totally here for it.
The Tully family are the biggest villains of the show. Liza killed John Aaron, which started this whole mess. Cat kidnapped Tyrion which caused Jamie to delay Ned’s leaving of Kings Landing. Edmure went for that fort instead of doing what Rob told him which made Rob have to beg Frey for passage across the bridge.
Uhm. That was not Edmures Fault. His mistake was long After Robb had a deal Made with Frey in that he fought for some mills to save some common folk and ruined Robbs plan by that to trap and kill the Mountain. The Frey Deal was Cats fault
I dont see much wrong with this statement
I’m now looking forward to a heroes ranking!
Loved your list!!!!! Tyvm!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I LOVE that the assassin's creed 2 tracks are playing in the background!
Glad to see The Legend of Gin Alley so high up on the list.
Loving the AC music in the background
Really great list!
You know, i JUST commented on an old video of yours yesterday about how Dave and Dan shit the bed SO hard in the end that people don't even TALK about Game of Thrones anymore... Now, today, you post a cool video 🤦
Your comment was more accurate before HOTD came out. Absolutely none one was talking about GOT anymore because of how bad the show ended. And thats what made HOTD so impressive because it brought back an apathetic fan base and was actually good
Excellent ranking And near perfect critiques!!!
You know Tywin is the BOSS when you see how he plays around with incredible characters like Cersei and Tyrion.
Tywin is and was the greatest character. Charles Dance killed it. First scene he skins a deer while telling Jamie to achieve glory.
Your suggestion about Qyburn making an undead army was something I thought of. Specially he was so curious with the zombies during that awkward meeting in the dragon pits.
I loved everything about this. ❤
Big thumbs up for using music from AC2
You don't need to justify why Euron is in the bottom. We all agree with you
I blame D'n'D. Pilou is a great actor. And that's definitely not bias. Even though I'm Danish
Assassins creed 2 music in this video
*CHEFS KISS*
If Tywin isn't number 1 ima riot like a kings landing peasant.
Great video and in my opinion I prefer your long videos it is honestly really exciting when you post a longer one but I love your vids regardless thank you for your hard work
I love how you use the AC 2 Soundtracks haha
Great video. Aren't Melisandre and Stannis Baratheon considered villains?
The High Sparrow starts strong as a villain but gets dumber as his story progresses. He manipulates Cersi into arming the Faith Militant as a weapon against the Tyrel’s then betrays her and imprisons. Pretty solid villain work there. But then he stupidly lets Cersi go back to her power base at the Red Keep, assuming the humiliation of the Walk of Shame would break her. And even more stupidly he assumes Cersi will show up for a trial where she’s guaranteed to be found guilty and either be executed or imprisoned for life. And he gathers all of Cersi’s enemies together in one place for her to target. He died a moron.
Love the Assassin's Creed 2 music in the background.
Great video
Great video! I think you could have put in a few others that were villains for a time, because their screen time and impact as villains is more than some of the minor villains you included in the video:
Melisandre - Her arc after season 5 was a little too quick imo, but I remember in seasons 2-5 she being the villain I hated the most. I mean, she did give birth to a literal murderous demon.
Jamie - His first seasons he was the perfect evil Prince Charming.
Theon - His villain arc was not as respectable but his impact was there and he had a good amount of screen time.
I would put Styr (25) a bit higher (15-20). You gave him a lot of deserved praise. I’d switch him with Randyll Tarly (19).
Also Meryn Trant (29) definitely deserves to be higher. He was a minor antagonist but was on Arya’s list for a reason. His scenes in the brothel were so gross and evil. I’d put him around 15.
Loved all your explanations!
Euron could have been an absolute wildcard of a villain who could significantly switch dynamics from scene to scene
Love the video I'm a cersei stan so i probably wouldve put her 1st or at least over ramsay but otherwise agreed with everything maybe would have added jaime and theon idk if i missed them or even s1 the hound
Otherwise very engaging well thought out analysis during this long winter ;)
Keep it up 👍
I feel that ramseys introduction to the show is very good at showing just how sadistic and evil he could be, by pretending to be theons friend letting him confess the truth confide his regrets only to thrust him back to where he was and start torturing him. Chef's kiss
I feel like Bran could've easily taken the cake on this. By all accounts, my man knew exactly how things would play out and that he would become king and he let it all happen. His "Why do you think I came all this way?" line followed by that sinister ass smirk, if that doesn't stink of villainy, then I don't know what does lmao
Same, he is literally the biggest villain in this whole show, I despise him.
babe wake up supercuts delight posted
Lmao I just lost it when you edited the explosion into Pycell‘s fart scene
The worst goes to Bran the Broken. He wasn't even in season 5 LMAO. Even Ghost has a better story..
Now I go watch Game of thrones season 7 and 8. Wish me luck :)
I can't wait to see who sits on the Throne. No way D and D can mess this up! Jon or Dany (fingers crossed) :D
Great list. Couldn’t agree more. Not too long.
Euron from the books would go pretty high up though!
Love the little edits like at 37:52 😁
I was waiting for your review about Shōgun but that’s okay.
I'm actually working on that right now. This video was such a big chongus that it overlapped into my period of time for Shogun.
@@SupercutsDelight oh that’s good. Cuz I really like your opinion about the new series. And ranking every villain in got is actually a good idea for a video. I will see it and make sure to but my opinion about it❤️
Your take on Qyburn and his own army of the dead is fantastic.
Tywin isn’t just the best villain in the show, he’s the best character full stop
Ramsay is my favorite villain and I'm glad he's so high on the list. Personally, I would rank the Night King lower. For 11th place, but a very nice list. I really like Your Game of Thrones videos.
I wish Everyone a good day.
35: Smalljon Umber deserved the absolute bottom spot because in the novels, he died like a badass trying to save Robb during the Red Wedding
31: Olly is a cheap stand-in for Satin from the books, who was cut because an underage boy sex worker is too much even for HBO
22: In the novels it's pretty clear that Drogo ripping the bandage off is what led to his death
20: Locke is a cheap stand-in for Vargo Hoat from the novels. He's such a different character that GRRM made them change his name (back when he cared about such things)
12: I'm still partial to the theory that the High Sparrow is Howland Reed
11: If you know what to look for, Roose was hedging his bets against Robb from the very start
7: The biggest irony is that Alliser was sent to the Wall because he was a Targaryen loyalist on the losing end of Robert's Rebellion, and died not knowing Jon was Rhaegar's son
Lysa is an even worse villain considering she was the one who sent that letter to Catelyn in episode 1, warning her against the Lannisters, after poisoning Jon Arryn herself
Calling Lysa only "indirectly" a villian is insane. She killed Jon Arryn, deliberately. Calling Lysa and indirect villian is like calling Voldemort an indirect villian for killing Harry Potter's parents. Like wtf?
Yes.. but she was also married off as a teenager to a 70 year old, I can't in good conscience say that didn't have some justification. Not to mention her crush was obsessed with older sister.
@@micahbonewell5994that doesn’t rationalise what she did.
She threatened to push Sansa out the moon door for no reason. Clearly a villain
Actually for that part I have full understanding for. Be more sympathetic to women who get forced to marry old farts. It is kind of painful how little empathy that gets her. However her trying to kill Sansa just because the man she wants is kissing her....well I would like to say that makes her crazy. But I know many women who react with hate towards the women whom their "crushes" are after or together with or cheating with. So thats actually fairly normal, the trying to kill her part not withstanding.
Roose Bolton was one of my favorite villains, shame he was poisoned by his enemies 😔
You did a really outstanding work recopilating all this great characters, but... *please where is Olena Tyrell?*
I honestly think that GRRM would disagree with the simple statement of there being any villains in the story, except the white walkers. Then again, i don't give a fuck about GRRM anymore
You really think GRRM would have characters like Joffrey, Tywin, Euron, and Ramsay and claim there's no villains?
Great video! I don't really have any complaints about positioning for any of the villains. Same Dave and Dan completely tanked what should have been a masterpiece 😢
Ramsay is my favorite. Unlike Joffrey he was willing to get his hands dirty, he wasn't a spoiled kid but a bastard who would do anything to earn his place. His motivation always fascinated me and obviously his sadism. Also I think his death was perfect, died violently as he lived. I loved his relationship with Myranda for the same reasons you mentioned, and the fact that in the end he decides to feed her to his dogs seems insensitive but I think it was a significant act for him and they let us see a little bit of his "human" side.
Every scene he was in was fun and entertaining, which I also thought with Viserys, except that Ramsey wasn't a ridiculous looking villain but rather charismatic and intriguing. Great video and I like that you included Tanner and Styr. Those actors nailed it too.
Holy shit the zombies would have fixed season 8 for me
That dead by daylight clip 5:19 hahahaha
Anton Lesser, the actor who played Qyburn, did an incredible job bringing that character to life. I just loved every scene he was in; even when the story got really wonky he always felt like Qyburn.
This thumbnail goes hard though!
The amount of times you used delicious was delicious 😂😂great list
Khal Moro was a missed potential
I really like how he showed repsect towards Dany when he learned shes Drogos wife.
Than out of nowhere all that respect is gone
God i hate season 6 so much
Ironic that Euron is the worst villain in the show but the best villain in the books because in the books he’s an not a joker he’s an actual serious person that people in story are absolutely terrified of.
Awesome 😂😂❤❤
It's wrong to call villains some GOT characters, that was part of the magic of the show.
Yeah. Rob is also responsible for the Red Wedding through his actions. Compare how selfish and brazen his actions were, then compare that to Tywin. In terms of their role in the deaths of so many northerners, Tywin’s motivation (end the war, protect his family, secure a legacy) were much more sympathetic than Rob’s. Especially because Rob showed that he understood his actions would have negative consequences but didn’t care. It’s interesting how easily people forgive his actions because true love, but in the context of a war for the throne and the intense politicking necessary for peace, he was essentially risking thousands of lives and perpetuating the war just because he liked a girl a lot.
In the pragmatic sense of ending the war being the best thing for the seven kingdoms as a whole, particularly the peasants who were being ravaged, Rob acted less morally than Tywin.
@@loldoctor Your comment reminds me how many times we could find ourselves justifying the actions of the "villains" of the show just because it was a very well writren character and his actions made sense.
Also I want to remark the irony of finding "villains" like Tywin fighting for something that we can connect with as his family reputation and a the same time the contradictory situations were you find Catelyn tully supporting her son after he found a girl during a war and having a son with her just like her husband "did". The complexity of the situations and characters were perfect.
that is actually a great video and i mostly agree. but I think that you should have ranked Jimmy. I know he turns into a protagonist later on, but I still think he was one if not the best villain in the first season. overall, good ranking.
Seeing this just reminds me how many villains and characters was in this show.
The closeup edit of Ollie's face with a noose around his neck is fucking wild 😂
I feel like the sudden disappearance of the Warlocks makes sense in the context of Actual Euron going around and kidnapping various priests for his funny ritual in Winds. There could have been lines saying how marauders have sacked Qarth, or how red priests are disappearing throughout Essos, gods, anything to make Euron at least half as good as he was in the books
Didn't Lysa admit to poisoning Jon Arryn? Then she sent the letter to Catlyn saying the Lanisters killed him. Those 2 actions basically started the whole ripple effect of Ned going to kings landing and getting the Starks involved with the Lanisters.
Tywin should be #2 actually and Daenerys #1. Both of them have good parts to them.
"A villan is just a hero from the other side" - GRRM
Agreed that Ser Alliser is one of the most complex villains on the show. He gets a great arc with a lot of nuance to his character. You actually understand why he takes the decisions he does.
Euron may be number 40 in the show, but in the books he's easily top 3
11:24 when I met Anton I asked how his death scene was jokingly his reply was “had a whole speech planned and it ended up being mind that wall splat”😭
Assassin's creed music?
