Hey Hobbyist, what’s the volume of that shed and the cfm of those fans combined? I’m debating on building a 8x8 shed (512 cubic feet) with a 5000cfm fan. Would that be overkill or just right?
I have 4 AC infinity T14 shutter fans that max out at 1507 cfm each and only when it's 95F+ outside do I have them maxed out. Currently 80F and at a speed of 8 and the shed is around 95F exhaust side. My shed is 8x8 A frame style. If I didn't have cards that I need repasted, I could probably even lower the speed now. Most cards are happy in high 50's to low 60's C. Currently running 64 gpus and 3 asics, but the asics exhaust directly out of the shed
@@ruskyscryptocave interesting so sounds like 5000 is about right or a little low. Do you see any issue with using one big fan instead of a couple small?
@@ModernMiningHub I don’t think so. Worst case, if you do have issues, you can use foam board to build “walls” to guide/direct the airflow to the fan. I would recommend a lean to style roof over a-frame. My shed does collect some heat up in the peak of the roof. Do like hobbyist’s shed at his house where the highest part of the roof is on exhaust wall side.
Would it have been cheaper to just have the miners hosted somewhere like Musk? All the monies spent for the infrastructure could have been used to buy additional miners, and then you have depreciation.
22 S21 200Th ASICs x $10/day = $220/day, Subtract $0.1/kWh x 1822kWh/day = $37.8/day NET profit. Really? If it were me, rather than invest in more power from the power company, I would invest in an acre of solar panels and batteries so I'd actually be earning $220/day when the solar is paid off in a year or two. If you have the land, it's a no-brainer IMO. Spending $182/day on electricity is crazy! I can provide a system that size without batteries for under $800/kW now, and batteries for under $200/kWh.
Exactly!! You don’t care much when all of your equipment is sponsored. I guess people care about the practicality when they have to spend their own money

GPU mining dead dead dead.

Obviously, but then he’d have zero RUclips views and sponsorship income lol

Change the shingles to a lighter colour... You'll be amazed the heat dissipation... Do your neighbours ever complain from the noise? Mine sure do.
Very nice, routing the hot air of each ASIC will prevent that some return to the intake lowering the temperature of the shed, congrats.
Your gonna have to shrink the shed width wise no? also wont the workbench disrupt the flow from the intake side from getting to the asics?
I have the ac infinity and shroud setup on my bitmain miner in my house and it’s the only way it’s bearable
Your neighbours will not tolerate this 24/7 noise forever...
That is the best cabling management I have ever seen in the long run
thank god, reducing sound will be a blessing
Should be awesome when you are done!
Does anyone have a link to the filters?
I want an asic miner😢
I can't wait!
Your plans sound awesome!
Very exciting, looking forward to seeing the buildout!
Looking forward to seeing this project progress!
That's a lot of work, good luck!
