A severe case of seborrheic dermatitis can can the same affect. I'm just recovering from a severe case myself. Thank God I was able to get established with a black female dermatologist. Took 6 months of treatment for my scalp to heal and for my hair to start growing back.
Happy Birthday Beautiful!!! Enjoy this Blessed day and each day that follows!!! You are a Beautiful sister!!! Live your best life every day!!! Be healthy!!! You look amazing either way. Do what makes you feel your best daily!!! 🌷🦋💕
Happy birthday queen you look gorgeous with are with hair I suffer from the same thing shaved head remember you are beautiful inside and out.i love ❤️ you.and your new shaved look looks absolutely 💯
Poor lady. It takes a hell of a lot of courage to come out and share this. I agree with you about going to see another dermatologist. Personally, I think it suits her bald. It makes a bold, strong and confident statement. This lady looks beautiful with or without hair ❤
I suffered with some hair loss in my crown. After a few dermatology treatments from my general practitioner/family doctor, I decided to save up and go and see a black female trichologist. (No steroid injections!) She treated me non-invasively and my scalp started to get better in 2 weeks and the hair grew back in 12 weeks. I've been following her recommendations for 3 years from February 2019 to now April 2022 and my hair has grown back in thickness. She diagnosed me with a sensitive scalp and scalp inflammation. I go to the trichologist's clinic at least twice a year to ensure I'm staying on track with my scalp and hair care. Here were her recommendations for me. 1. Reduce stress. I exercise regularly - yoga, personal trainer, soccer, walking and cycling and swimming. I also have been to therapy and use various therapy skills and techniques to relax and reduce my stress. 2. Take supplements. I took hair vitamins for 12 months. Now I take a daily multivitamin and from time to time extra iron, B complex, magnesium and vitamin D. 3. Get a full blood panel done to check for anaemia, thyroid, hormonal and insulin problems. 4. No more box braids, cornrows, or ponytails with or without extension hair. 5. Only wear wigs 1-4 a month and no longer than 24 hours. Best practice is not to sleep in the wig. 6. No more sew in weaves. 7. No wig glue or hair glue. I wear clip ins, wig grips or wig fix silicone band or attach with booby pins which I remove when I get home before bed. Occasionally maybe 4 times a year I wear the Got2Be gel or spray as it's less harsh than actual wig adhesive/wig/hair glue. I always take it off before bed and cleanse and moisturise the area after. 8. Wear satin or silk scarfs to protect your hair from the elements and also rubbing on your clothing and cotton pillowcases and sheets. I wear scarves to work regularly. No one has asked why. If they did I would tell them it's for religious and medical reasons. It protects my hair and scalp which is medical reason enough for me. 9. shampoo and deep condition with a hot towel weekly 10. apply topical scalp treatment mist or gel ( not oil or butter)and leave-in conditioner daily and steam with a hot towel. I don't use raw oils and butter on my hair or scalp because I appear to be slightly allergic. I also don't need my follicles clogged or irritated if I'm going to be using it daily. I am a thalassemia carrier and I was taking birth control and anti-depressants. So any blood disorders or medication can affect your hair. However, by following the trichologist's recommendations consistently and doing some scalp massage daily, no one can tell I have hair loss. I'm 40 and when I do choose to wear my natural hair out, when the weather is mild and medium humidity, I get lots of compliments on how high density/thick, shiny and defined it is. I have all my edges and no bald spots which is better than my mother when she was my age.
@@TheHairGuruCarla no problem. Hair loss is a massive problem and I want people to know that it's not completely hopeless. Even with traction alopecia, I've seen people get hair transplants. My case wasn't/isnt alopecia but it was still stressful when it was untreated and undiagnosed. Healthy hair and health scalp makes me happy for everyone.
Yesssss mine is thinning in th crown area and sore in some areas and numb in other areas all on the right side of my head and have mini bald spots Idk what to do I want to cut it
Your client has to be commended for sharing her alopecia struggles. Despite the fact that I kept getting distracted by her eyelashes, your client looked nice with her head shaved. As always, you did an amazing job. God bless your talent.
I'm just an o.d white grandma but you did an amazing job and it wasn't just installing the wig it was instilling her confidence in her and making her feel beautiful that was important. My sister had alopecia a d would cry and struggle with depression so you gave your client back her self esteem and her joy so great job !
Okay, I was thinking the same thing about that lash. I just knew the stylist would fix it for the final look. But it is mind-blowing how real the edge looks. I hope the client gets a real answer once she goes to another dermatologist. Stay strong!
A lot of people say positive things just to be nice and to lift other people's spirits. I don't do that. When I say something, I mean it. And I truly believe that she looks amazing with a bald head. It really brings out her beautiful features. She actually looks better bald, then with the wig on. If I was her's I'd rock the bald look.
I'm not trying to get at you and I understand what you're saying but to each his own maybe she's embarrassed maybe she doesn't want to feel like she could Rock the ball look even though we tell her because you're right it does look nice but maybe she just wanted to just have her hair a certain way or whatever but I understand where you're coming from but I understand where she's coming from two on both sides and nobody will understand unless they've been through that position
@@angelasanchez4817 Yeah I see what you mean. Ultimately it's her choice to choose. I just wanted to say this because some people don't see their beauty until someone else points it out. For example, I never thought much of my smile until people started to compliment me and say I had a pretty smile. That's when I started seeing it. It may be the same for her. Either way, she looks good both ways, and she should do what makes her happy.
Oh you're so cute thank you for having a intelligent conversation without it being so rah rah because a lot of people come on this and they will read you your rights if you say anything wrong or if they feel like you're getting nothing for anything which is not the case we too old for that I don't know how old you are but and the same thing with me I got two slightly crooked teeth and I used to feel insecure with that but everybody loves my smile everybody and then I got dimples on both sides and I got a beauty mark right in the middle of my cheek so when I smile my dimple goes in my beauty mark and it's really cute so I just wanted to thank you for that for not coming at me crazy
I'm an old white lady, and curious about how black ladies do their hair. I am amazed at your talent and started binge watching. The hair is different, but in the end, I think the experience of getting our hair done transcends race. This particular woman has a beautiful face and could pull off the bald look if she wanted to. I hope she got some help for her Alopecia and had a wonderful Birthday!
Yes I said the same thing about her Beautiful Face , she Very Pretty no matter what People's say or thinks I have a Cousin that is Bald she have the same thing she have in my Ciusin go to Church showing her Head, and she's goes out in Public with her Head without Cover in Many Black Women's Looks Beautiful with there Head like that I knows a Pastir like that I knows 2 other's Christian like that in I Can Say that Black in Proud in Don't Care what People's say or Thinks God Bless thems All's God Mase thems in He Love his Daughter's no matter what People's Say ❤ ♥ Enjoy your Gather Have Fun
What a Beautiful Woman. I think the bald look is dope;she's beautiful with or without hair. Just like there are some things money can't buy; she's living proof that having hair doesn't make you beautiful. It takes more than hair to be beautiful. Her true glow comes from within and illuminates outwardly!! Shine my sister shine!!
Just like everyone said below, her hair looks beautiful with and without the wig. You did an amazing job for this lovely lady and Blessings upon you both!
Love what you did with her hair. Me personally, I think she looks fabulous without the wig. One only thing, that left eyelash is giving me so much anxiety. I just want to fix it for her...lol Great job on her look. She's beautiful.
I'm a licensed cosmetologist and , to be honest she's such a beautiful woman she looks better bald instead of having patches of hair coming out all over her head... Definitely consult with a dermatologist but, honestly she's beautiful bald 🥰
I lost a patch of hair at the left nape of my neck. The dermatologist gave me a steroid shot a d it came back k. No guarantees, she said, but it came back!
True. Was thinking the same. Not everyone has the features to carry off the bald look, but she definitely does. Such great cheekbones and gorgeous eyes.
She has a beautiful face. That's a plus. She can even get away with being bald. Thanks for being bold and beautiful enough to share with others who are suffering with alopecia also. This is not a laughing matter. This is a heart matter.
Carla, you are an amazing hair dresser. Extremely talented and you care about your clients !! You put your heart ❤️ & soul into what you are doing and it shows. You are blessed with this gift , so may you continue to put a smile on all your clients faces. How I wish you were in the New York area because I would surely find my way to your salon. Keep up the good work , you are a blessing to many...,
Does wonderful work you love your job very talented to be a hairdresser you are an artist bcs you designs hair it comes automatic heart soul n mind that's beautiful thumbs up darling.
She looks beautiful without hair. Not only does she have a beautiful face, but her head has the perfect shape. Sister you can go without hair and still look amazing!!!!!!
She a beautiful woman. She don’t have to walk down because God can make a hair grow right back. All she have to do is have the faith she’s a pretty woman and her pictures came out beautiful
Come through with the cheekbones & structure ma'am! 5 minutes in & I'm screaming it! Fabulous already. This client has the perfect face & head for the bald look. I am SO here for it 💕 Beautiful
I had all my hair fall out from the top of my head. I know what she is going through. She looks gorgeous with or without hair and that is the plain truth!
My hair fell out one day as I was washing it in the shower! I had noticed an insane itch on the right side that wouldn't go away. Its been 7 years since then, and I have hair all over my head but it won't grow. I got hipped to apple cider vinegar and it has made a big difference
@@1soFortunate All my hair has fallen out to to hyperthyroidism…Plz tell me about the apple cider vinegar…I just recently had my husband shave my head because my hair was just like hers
my adhd not letting me focus on anything except that eyelash im dying. but that lady is absolutely beautiful and rocked that shaved head! u did an amazing job with the wig, she looks lovely 🫶
WOW! The wig is beautiful but she truly was STUNNING without it! Not everyone can carry off the "bald" look but she made it gorgeous. Happy Birthday and thank you for sharing your journey with us. 🤗
Looks like she has a form of scarring alopecia called CCCA. She definitely needs to go to another dermatologist that treats this condition. CCCA is found in women of African descent, and it runs in families. I’m being treated for it. It can be very depressing for us as women to struggle with hair loss, but with the help of wigs, and crochet braids you can regain your confidence. You did a great job. She looks beautiful!
Alopecia is a hard thing for anybody to deal with no matter how strong & confident they are. She is gorgeous with and without hair & your work is outstanding! A very Happy Birthday to her!
When I tell you there is LIGHT at the end of the tunnel… there really is, I believe all of her can grow back. She just needs the right care just like this women is doing for her…. I’m 20 and at 18 I lost over 90% of my hair and now it’s all back healthier and thicker than ever… never give up hope🙏🏾
@@fajobifolukee5059 wow sorry, I went to a specialist in Nashville and had a total of 4 services in 4 months so once a month and my hair started growing back immediately, I was told to take drops but I chose not to, instead after the initial growth… I realized I needed to work on my gut health, I started eating way better and exercising and now I only drink water 99.9% of the time, the picture in my bubble was about a year after i started all of that. This is just my story cause I am an advocate for modern medicine but I hope everything works out for you.
She's super cute! And she'd look amazing IF she decides to rock the bald look. I'm jealous of those cheekbones, such great facial structure. Seriously, if I hadn't seen you apply the wig I'd never known. Happy Birthday pretty lady!
Thank God that we have so many choices regarding our hair. And the great thing about that is no one can tell if done correctly. Your client looks beautiful with and without hair 😍 As always Carla great job you make it look effortless
I’ve been a cosmetologist for 26 years. I have sent SOOO many women to their doctor to get help with hair loss. Nine out of 10 women come back and tell me their doctor wasn’t concerned about it. It makes me so angry because there’s nothing that I can do to medically help these women. 😢
@@jesi3930 : I know that's right. Sometimes I just have to wonder 🤔 about that. And all I could come up with. Please excuse me for saying this, ('you know that anything to do with sex, sells'😔)
Happy birthday to the client! She's beautiful, even without hair. Praying her scalp heals and thankful she's not having pain from whatever is producing the breakout.
The hair stylist has anointed hands! Still trying to figure out how she was able to get the lace front mesh to match her complexion and look natural! Wishing the best for the client's scalp condition.
She came to the right person. I love you’re work. Everyone that sits in you’re chair gets loved and cared for. Thank you for all that you do for others
Wow !!! This beautiful lady suited both hair styles. Not everyone can carry a shared head look, but she certainly did. I hope she had an amazing birthday. Your talent is amazing. I love watching your work. Greetings from my wee home in Northern Ireland
This beautiful lady absolutely rocked the shaved look. Those cheekbones! Hope she had a brilliant birthday. Lovely job with the wig btw. How you manage to do all the detail work with those fabulous nails is beyond me!
The boldness of the beautiful queen experiencing alopecia, which I can't identify with but sympathize for her. The ART of those hands who transformed her hair problem; and I do not say art lightly, is truly a PLEASURE to witness. To the two of you, thank you for sharing, God bless!!
I really love the fact that you made it look realistic. Even the baby hairs are not coming all the way down to her forehead. So e people put some huge clumps of hair all the way to the eyebrows and I think that is ridiculous tbh. This was very well done. I hope her scalp is repairable and she goes to another dermatologist who can help her.
This came out really nice... not being a lace front wig wearer, seeing the glue applied to her very delicate edge area made me feel.... this wasn’t the best thing for an already agitated scalp. I hope she finds a dermatologist who didn’t get their MD from a cereal box 🙄and actually RUN tests to see what’s going on
I had hair loss on my crown. I went to a black female dermatologist. She did a biopsy of my scalp and I found out I have Lichen planopilaris an autoimmune disease. So I take medication to keep it from spreading and I use a cream on my scalp to keep the inflammation down. So yes please see a dermatologist. ❤️
I had a medical issue that led to alopecia and let me tell you, I don't care what anybody says about it's just hair"...no ma'am, losing whole chunks of your hair is traumatizing. I was EXTREMELY lucky that with several injections into my scalp and various medications that mine grew back, but its made me super grateful every single day that I have a long day and I don't want to do my hair, I'm like, be grateful that you've still got it. My heart goes out to all the women in this situation or going through cancer and hair loss. It's tough, it really is.
Hey Carla, your client looks beautiful with her wig and without it. I hope she stay encouraged about whatever is going on with her scalp. God bless you and continue to uplift your clients self esteem. You're the greatest!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🧡🧡🧡
This is one of the most amazing wig attachment and hair style I have ever seen. It looks like this is her natural hair. I can't even see where it was glued on anymore. How is this possible. Wow!
It's soo hard losing hair as a woman especially smh! My edges have been thin since I was a young child..huge damper on my self esteem being that I am only 34 and balding, really sucks! I feel for all women suffering from hair loss! She is BEALUTIFUL btw 🥰❤️😍🥳🎉
Just a food for thought, the Lord says that he will smite the daughters of zion with baldness. Mainly because to summarise we aren't appreciative with what we have, our hair is the most versatile it's beautiful. We need to start loving and taking care of our natural hair treat it well and ladies we will all see the difference. Some of us has health issues however depending we're we are, seeking assistance applying healthier lifestyle mixing with consistent good hair regiment. My hair was thinning too wearing alot of weaves, noticing bald spots. Then I decided to start taking care of my hair deep condition every week, oiling of scalp, scalp massages and using natural hair masks for deep conditioning. This lady is very beautiful hopefully she will do the right thing, love and start caring for her scalp and hair.
To the client, there's nothing to be ashamed of. Each of us in life as her own cross to bear and you are bearing yours gracefully. You're a beautiful, strong black woman. Hold on to that. And I give the beautician 100 times over thumbs up. She did a wonderful job. Some people are natural and this beautician is natural at what she does. Keep up the good work.
The Client is so strong to reveal what she is going through, kudos to the cosmetologist for what she did for her. The Client could have gone either way, she is beautiful with or without a wig. Love it‼️ HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎂
First off…. my goodness sis you are beautiful! With or without hair. Your eyes are highlighted by the glow your smile. Stunning! Ms. Carla you are a “hair whisperer”! You amaze me with your talent! I so wish that I could stop in to get my hair done and just spend an additional day just watching you create your art! May God richly bless you both. Take care my loves.
First off, I would like to commend you for your willingness, patience, and most of all for being a hair Guru😍. Your client looks flawless with the cut and style. Thanks a million for sharing this incredible makeover!
This is a STRONG BLACK WOMAN!!! For her to have this posted for educational purposes is a beautiful. I wish her well on her journey! You look FABULOUS for your birthday, gurl!!! God bless, and many more.
As someone who had dry curly hair when I was young and went to barbers who never could get it right, the value of a compassionate and qualified hair cutter is hard to overestimate.
Just stumbled upon this. You are so brave and gorgeous. I have / am experiencing hair loss and I know how devastating it can be. Not sure if it's menopause or what. The point is, you are helping so many women. Thank you Queen!
It pays to have a stylist who knows what their doing. Happy Birthday to the client, who is beautiful both ways. The finished product was absolutely gorgeous! 💗
i feel for her but most importantly thank you queen for showing yourself at the most fragile state, so much pressure on us women to have hair and long hair and crap . your gorgeous also girl you did that ! love how you did her hair , black girl magic and then some !
Very nice..... The confidence glowed from the client ..... Thank you for sharing the video and thank you to the client for allowing us to share a vulnerable moment.... ❤️
She looks so good without hair that I just wanted her to hear it again clearly. I hope she gains the confidence to show off how confident she looks. I know she might feel vulnerable, but she looks amazing, BOLD, and fierce! I hope she had a fantastic birthday with her temporary style, and it seems she's a Queen that can rock any style she wants!
Omg Sis!!!! Can I just tell you how beautiful you are❣️ You have the perfect shaped face, eyes and head to SLAY a low cut. ❤️❤️❤️ Not everyone can pull off this look. 🥰❤️
She's beautiful. As a certified trichologist, my recommendation would be for her to see a hair loss professional since the dermatology visits weren't successful. Most dermatologist study skin conditions, not hair loss. Often times, dermatologist refer hair loss patients to trichilogist. I would love to help her.
We all need healing black women go through so much, glad she lifted your spirits up!!!! Your Beautiful with or without the hair, we've ruled nations for thousands of years be the Beautiful Queen that you are💞
My heart is with her but she’s so brave letting the camer see her face most would not go that far and that’s understandable she has a lot of confidence love it ♥️ she’s beautiful

Your client has to be commended for sharing her alopecia struggles. Despite the fact that I kept getting distracted by her eyelashes, your client looked nice with her head shaved. As always, you did an amazing job. God bless your talent.
I get what you mean about the eyelash, other than that she giving what needed to be given
I'm just an o.d white grandma but you did an amazing job and it wasn't just installing the wig it was instilling her confidence in her and making her feel beautiful that was important. My sister had alopecia a d would cry and struggle with depression so you gave your client back her self esteem and her joy so great job !

it was messing with me too lol . I agree she did an amazing job !
Lol yas the eyelas was screaming at ne like fixvit but besides she did a bomb job
Damn eyelash 😭🤣🤣
Yesssss I couldn't really focus because of that damn eyelash lol
Okay, I was thinking the same thing about that lash. I just knew the stylist would fix it for the final look. But it is mind-blowing how real the edge looks. I hope the client gets a real answer once she goes to another dermatologist. Stay strong!
She was pretty before the transformation, beautiful eyes, nose… the hair was the icing on the cake. Big ups to her on her BDay from a King to a Queen
This was absolutely beautiful.. the comment I've been searching for 💯❤
You Are a genius !😊
Yes she's beautiful with the bald, I love it! The hairstyle fits her nice too. Kudos to the hairdresser. Happy birthday Queen ⚘
@@cecichristmas7254 Yes the stylisy did a great job.

Yes, she is Beautiful!
I’m fascinated watching black hair being done, the client looks amazing. Thx u
I'm a licensed cosmetologist and , to be honest she's such a beautiful woman she looks better bald instead of having patches of hair coming out all over her head... Definitely consult with a dermatologist but, honestly she's beautiful bald 🥰
She sure is! I was thinking....I loved her face and head shape better without the hair BUT I COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND the trauma of losing your hair.
You killed it great job.
I lost a patch of hair at the left nape of my neck. The dermatologist gave me a steroid shot a d it came back k. No guarantees, she said, but it came back!
Yes, if you have a beautiful face and head shape like her definitely go for it! The shame of illness needs to end💛

My thoughts exactly. What a beautiful woman!!!
I've been trying to find a doctor something is eating my hair out over half was gone so I cut the rest off
Why do they do that? That is how people die when they are nonchalant
That also happened to me and I cut my locs of 18 years 😩.
I understand but it’s these styles that make it worse!!! Go and get a hair transplant and wear your hair natural

I’ve been a cosmetologist for 26 years. I have sent SOOO many women to their doctor to get help with hair loss. Nine out of 10 women come back and tell me their doctor wasn’t concerned about it. It makes me so angry because there’s nothing that I can do to medically help these women. 😢

Sis, you're naturally beautiful either way so don't let nothing diminish your confidence and self esteem. Love yourself always❤
I hope she finds a dermatologist who didn’t get their MD from a cereal box 🙄and actually RUN tests to see what’s going on
You're right ✅.
I agree strongly
For real
The one I saw didn't run a single test. Just told me that it was common among black women. Gave me some topical steroids and Doxycycline. SMH
I cringed at adding glue to an already irritated scalp
You put your client at ease, and gave her good advice to see another Dermatologist. You made her look fantastic...thankfully she could turn to you❤👩🏽
I had hair loss on my crown. I went to a black female dermatologist. She did a biopsy of my scalp and I found out I have Lichen planopilaris an autoimmune disease. So I take medication to keep it from spreading and I use a cream on my scalp to keep the inflammation down.
So yes please see a dermatologist. ❤️

Thank you for emphasizing. Dermatologist is a specialist , their understanding of the condition is deeper.

Just a food for thought, the Lord says that he will smite the daughters of zion with baldness. Mainly because to summarise we aren't appreciative with what we have, our hair is the most versatile it's beautiful.
