@@viniciusgoulart5077 ^This. Assuming you didn't damage the warden, it wouldn't become instantly angry towards you. It works on an anger system and when you hit a certain anger level, the warden roars, locks onto the player / mob that made it angry and begins chasing them. If you attack a warden, it instantly becomes angry towards you. If you're within 5 blocks of the warden after attacking it, it skips the roaring animation completely and just begins attacking you. Touching a warden or making a vibration without the use of projectiles only adds a small amount of anger with a 1-second cooldown. So if you fell into a pit with a warden without attacking it, you'd probably only have like 3 seconds before it becomes angry towards you and starts roaring. Plenty of time to fly out as long as you don't panic.
Can you imagine just walking around and then someone just insta kills you while you have full netherine? You won't see the person and can't even do anything about it, this definetely needs a max damage cap
In the Mace vs The Warden you have told us that Its inconsistent and you would require 120+ blocks you to kill it. That works because that was just about the right distant to one hit kill the warden without critical strike. I have tested it myself and I managed to one hit kill the warden 87+ blocks. This requires very precise timing since you have to critical strike it just before hitting the ground for it to work.
if you want to make the elytra/mace kill easier, you can just keep a chestplate in your inventory, and click on it when your at the right hight, deequiping your elytra. a bit harder than ray's method, but still generally achievable.
It's hard, but if you have a chestplate in your offhand you can right click to unequip your elytra right before hitting with the mace, and you take no fall damage
Literally the first thing I thought of when I heard how the mace works was that I wanted to see someone 1 hit the ender dragon with it. I'm glad I didn't have to wait long
If you haven't beat the ender dragon yet, I reccomend using a Riptide Trident in conjunction with the Mace whether it's just a pool of water or if it's raining. Sadly not a good loadout in the Nether, but nearly every other area in the game it's an alternative :)
Do you need to fly down when you hit it? I'm curious if the way it works just tracks decent. It may also be interesting to learn if you can activate it by flying straight at the target, while impact damage isn't falling damage iirc it's treated similar in some respects.
I think I know exactly what I would do for the wither. I'd look for a place where it doesn't have any mobs, Build a scaffolding over 100 blocks, and then once I spawned him and climbed up, if I swear he's not aggroed it should be a simple fall and STRIKE. And I would just be like oh cool done and get my scaffolding back
Well this definitely makes all those really awesome redstone arrow railguns pretty much useless... Now we have a railgun as a handheld portable weapon! Pretty cool and still does require setup (So it's not utterly broken in PvP), but nonetheless pretty trivializing.
This will for sure get patched, it's way too easy to doo way too much damage. I see two potential ways to fix this : - scale the distance to damage non linearly (for example doubling the distance adds 1 heart of damage inqt of doubling damage), still allows some insane shenanigans, but not an immediately broken strategy for all players - add a damage cap (eg. no matter the distance the max damage is 20hp), it's probably the more balanced choice
the extra damage should be from the would be fall damage - meaning it caps out at 10 hearts worth of damage - instead of continuously stacking upon higher heights (since this would ruin the game as all bosses could be one shot at such a minimal effort, as seen in the video).
Question. Has it been tested for falling time instead of distance fallen? Or has it already been confirmed that falling time isn't in the increased damage calculation? Cause it would be pretty bonkers if falling time, aka time spent falling through cobwebs, were to increase the damage done.
you’re insane if you think this is broken in pvp or pve. you need to be somewhere extremely high up to the point you’d need an elytra to do it fast, have enough render distance to even see the target if you’re ambushing a player, and have enough luck that the player or entity doesn’t just wander off being unreachable
That's cool and all, sadly the last 3 snapshots have completely broken creeper drops and iron farms and probably other farms as well. (Iron Golems not dropping iron or the drops are not being picked up by hoppers, or are spawning inside the lava. And the creepers just are not dropping gunpowder at all, even with a looting III sword. And even the automatic wool farm is broken. Until all these are fixed, I don't see any use in updating to the new snapshots to mess around with the new features until they fix all the fundamental issues they caused.
Also I'm terrible with elytra flying. Like I can fly with the elytra in a free open world it's just that to get directly above the boss, that's my issue and the ender dragon isn't any better because while I'm trying to get up the pillar he's going to shoot those ender acid balls worse off let's say I do get to the pillar, he's just going to knock me off. So I can't just wait there I would have to be flying from the very beginning and then just so happened to land directly in the middle and do what I have to do there. You wouldn't even need to take out the ender crystals
An heavy fall enchantment would be a nice idea tho. Like make it the mace itself have an 30 block limit cap without the enchantment so it would have a max of 25 damage. With heavy fall III, It would have it's damage increased to 90 on a max cap of 100 block limit.
Correct me if I am wrong here but do you really need to hit the ground and take massive amount of damage? Could you simply coat the ground with slime blocks, carpets, spider webs or just use a lot of water to negate all the fall damage in cases where you succesfully hit the mob but still end up taking damage?
One more thing: Is it really the fall distance or the fall speed that determines the amount of damage that the mace does? Figured that you could, maybe, give yourself a speed boost with arrows fired upwards from a knockback 2 bow or tnt that was detonated above you if this was timed correctly with a piston that removes the floor below you at the right moment. The redstone machine in this case would be like a gun that points downward and where the player is the bullet in the barrel. Not sure if this works, just an idea.
Is there a way to activate 1.21 content for my currently existing main world in snap-shot? I would like to oneshot 20 ender dragons after honest mace grind before it will be nerfed, probably.
Just A question I was looking for a long time. How they decide the equation for such damage or such timing or enchantment In Minecraft and other games. For example the equation ((7×0.5×(distance)+7)×1.5) Seem specific and a little bit complicated for something like that . How would they know the right equation for such mechanics
doesn’t seems complicated, 7 is the base of the damage, every block above, it’ll add onto half of it’s base damage. Finally, 1.5x to apply crit damage. I think linear formulas were efficient and versatile for designing specific behavior, and it is really not complicated.
I would never do this to the warden. Please remember he can still respawn multiple times. So imagine you doing this in the ancient city. You may kill one but if there's a shrieker nearby, you're just going to be in perpetual Warden summoning hell taking it down. Uh no thanks. Maybe the wither or ender dragon. I think this would be the best way because I had another idea where the warden would fight the wither and I did it twice. I successfully pulled it off and the first time he barely even took the guy to half health and then the second time around he literally left him with a trickle of health like one more hit and he would have died and an enderman ended up killing him no joke. I am in bedrock edition so the harder version
