  • All this footage was taken from one gymnastic meet of SUU vs. Utah State last weekend. Due to unpleasantly colored seating we did the video in black and white. Then, after hearing an amazing pre-game speech from SUU professor Grant Corser, we decided to add his words to the video, giving us this final product.
To see a full list of ALL the gear I use:
    kit.co/parkerw...
All slow mo shots were done using T3i @ 60fps and all normal shots done on 5D Mark II @24fps.
    Lenses used:
Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM Ultra Wide Angle
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Telephoto
Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM Standard
Moving shots are all done on Glidecam HD 2000
Shot credit to me, Lance Lowry, and Jamie Wysong.
Music is by Future World Music - New Beginnings (I do not own that content)
We've got some even more epic gymnastics planned for this season so make sure to like, share and subscribe!

I am an 11 year old level 8 gymnast and I have had at least 1 injury every week. But whenever that happens I watch this video and go outside and do some pull-ups. But sadly I have missed 1 year of gymnastics because I broke my spine and my shoulder trying to do an amanar of the vault. At least I get my casts off in a few weeks. Shoutout to all you gymnasts who can't do gymnastics anymore because it hurt you.😘😘😘😘

Whoa, why is everyone giving her so much hate?? She’s allowed to do hard skills you don’t know her story. She could have been doing something her coach had been training her for.

Most of people say that at age 10 than more is too late to start. I started when I was 7, but i quit at age 8-9 because that made me sad, and i was frustrated.(idk how to spell) Later I did watch make it or break it. That was so cool ! I wanted to do same things. At age 11, I started again. But i had an injury in age 9, and my back is hurting still, but not so much, not giving up!! I was starter team in a year, and then i moved on starting comp. team. Then I started to learn different skills like: splits, tucks on floor, walkovers, aerials floor. Im now 12, turning 13 AND hopefully im going to level 5 competition team if im good enough.(things are really different in finland) Im really strong, and everytime when Im frusttrated, i get up and say I can do it, no matter what. SO UR NEVER TOO OLD TO START GYMNASTICS!

@@juliapeltola8739 I agree, i'd love to see updates from all of the late bloomers!!! I don't watch college gymnastics only the elite stuff. For personal reasons, but these girls are fantastic!!! would love updates. I even see some of the older faces, from elite go into college gymnastics!!! Agree with you 100%!!!...:)

I started gymnastics at the age of 8. People say that’s too late to start, while everyone I know started at 2-4 years old. I feel superior now, as I have been doing it for 4 years now. All those gymnasts ask me how I have gotten so good in only 4 years (I am a level 4 almost 5. Now 12 years old.) I reply with: I work my hardest, I push myself to the limits. I will not stop even if I am injured. I don’t care if I’m too skinny, fat, or old. It doesn’t matter. I also had a friend who quit because of how “bulky, muscle-y, and ugly” her muscles are. DO NOT EVER BE ASHAMED IF YOUR MUSCLES. YOU WORKED YOUR BUTT OFF FOR THOSE. DON’T EVER BE ASHAMED OF WHO YOU ARE. KEEP PUSHING!!! IT DOES NOT MATTER IF YOUR PEERS ARE GREATER THAN YOU. DO WHAT MAKES YOU GREAT, STRONG, AND CONFIDENT. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THOSE AROUND YOU!!
    Keep working hard.

Dear everyone who says once your older its to late / everyone who believes this. I started gymnastics when I was 10, a month away from being 11. I started in pre-team, I was in there for about 6 and a half months My highest skill in 6 months I got was a roundoff double back handspring. Since I started from scratch this isnt done very often.. After that I joined Xcel gold in late march. And I would train with them all summer and most of fall to see if I would be able to compete Gold by january. Now I am 12 years old I just need one more skill and I think ill get it next practice! My highest skill on floor is a roundoff backhandspring Back Layout. Never stop believing! If I can get all these skills in barely a year so can you!

Has the Canon 16-35 USM completely replaced your tokina 11-16mm? I was looking at the tokina heavily as it has a wide angle (even for crop like t2i) but its WAY cheaper than the canon. Can you give some feedback after using both (very similar to how I use mine, fast paced cinematography)?

Yet people still say gymnastics is not a sport and that is is easy... The reality of it is that most of the people that say those things would try to do the splits or a backhand spring or a back layout and fall and break their head open and then they would be embarassed about the things that I do that they can't.

Who the hell says that? I'm a 30 year-old male and I've always been into sports (traditional martial arts, MMA etc). I started gymnastics about 9 months ago and it's by far the hardest thing I've tried.

    • @caylawalton2512
      @caylawalton2512 9 лет назад

Well... I have always found people, (mostly guys) that say gymnastics is easy. Trust me it is not. At all. I am glad that you know that! And anyway I am only 10 and I can do a lot in gymnastics. And if ANYONE thinks that gymnastics is easy, well. I would like to see them try to do what I do. You have to be EXTREMELY strong and flexible. If you are not, you will get no where in this.

I Do Well Did Gymnastics Started At 7 Ndd Now I'm 13 Ndd Level 7 I Quit A Few Months Ago. It Wasn't That I Gave Up It Wasn't That I Felt Like I Didn't Have A Chance. But I Didn't Like The New Coaches. Or The Fact That One Of The Coaches Didn't Know What A Half On Half Off Was. I Would Go To A Different Gym But I Can't Just Go In The Middle Of A Season. Ndd Nxt Year I Will Most Likely Lose All My Skills. But I Still Have Education
