I have one terabyte SSD that I bought online formatted to my Fire TV cube technically it’s a USB stick very slim, barely noticeable, barely sticks out the back of the cube
HELP HELP I have fire cube 3 gen. I originally had a 128 flash drive and it worked.. But I got a 2TB externa hard drive but the Cube does not see it.. I can put the flash drive back in and the cube sees it .The light comes in the 2TB hard drive when it is plugged in
Unfortunately 90% of the apps do not have the option "Move to USP Storage" so while it works for a few selected apps it does not solve my problem of running out of space :(
I have a gen 3 Cube and connected a 1TB Samung 870 EVO Sata drive using a SABRENT 2.5 Inch hard drive enclosure. The hard drive is formatted as a FAT32. Using this combination, the Cube sees the drive but it does not provide the option to use it as main storage. Using the drive for external storage works fine till the Cube "sleeps" or is turned off. After that, the connection cannot be re-established unless the drive is disconnected and connected again. Another issue is that once I have data on the external drive, a "sleep" or a reboot makes the drive unrecognizable. Formatting the drive is then the only option. Horrible experience..... Amazon should offer a version with the option to add a hard drive. The gen 3 cube is a wonderful peace of kit but the USB interface seems to be an afterthought that has been tested properly.
It's a bummer that it's fat32 which has a file size limit of 4gb. Does NTFS or exfat not work? I was hoping to grab a 3rd Gen cube for my parents, and I wanted an option to play files off USB using Kodi or VLC.
My cube sees the 256 gb flash drive. There was no selection for formatting the drive. When I click on an app there is no choice for moving to USB storage. So it seems the drive, no selection for formatting, and no selection for moving an app. What am I, if anything, doing wrong here?
It only allowed me to move one app. Why is this? I can see it being difficult to move apps from the App Store or internal, however these are 3rd party downloads
Thank you for this video helpful review 👍👍👍👍👍
Glad it was helpful!

It all depends upon the app. Some apps cannot be moved
Is it possible to move a recording from the cube to the external storage?
I am trying to add a usb drive 2tb and my cube 3 and it doesn’ see it ?. Please advise
