Are you sure caseback is screwed? There was a review of a steeldive puck that mentioned it only opens from crystal. This one looks too similar to have different caseback
It's just a very thick hockey puck. Quality wise most Addiesdive watches are good, but anyone should put one of these cheap upgraded clasps in the basket at the same time.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR how do you avoid shearing the crown off if you get tangled in your commercial diving umbilical? :) one can dream, especially if they're gonna include a helium escape valve and write 1000 on the dial
Not necessarily. I've used quite a few of my AliExpress watches for swimming on holiday and they've been fine. Granted I've not used them diving though.
This may not be ISO, but honestly that doesn't mean much. I have seen several reviews by pro divers and dive instructors who name steeldive and addiesdive watches as legit good quality dive watches that they use, in fact that is how I found this brand was by digging around on a dive blog looking for budget dive watch recommendations. To me the ISO rating is just a way for bigger brands to price gouge their customers and to cause snobbery. Heck, The Casio Duro is widely considered a legit dive watch and it probably has more dives to its name than most of the ISO watches do and the Casio only costs $50. If you read the reviews for the Casio 5600 you will also find people use that as a dive watch and it is a $50 quartz digital watch.
I'd be surprised that if tested, the watch would be anywhere close to 1,000 meters. But, I would never wear any watch in the water. If I was a surfer, I would buy a cheap water tight watch and would use it exclusively while in the water. Cool watch except for: boring identical indices, the date > never desirable, and the same for the closed case back.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWRThis aaddiesdivedive covers at least 500m. I ordered mine and will opened it to grease everything ot least check if it is already greased. Also the crown should be greased so that rubber seals last longer. At that tickness this watch should proabably cover serious diving.

Bought this on Aliexpress 3 years ago for 136 euro. They were just called Addies then
I didn't realise it was an older model. It is exactly the same then?
Looks the same. Automatic movement, great lume ect. I have 100+ plus watches so not going looking for it to check. There's another RUclips video that came out at same time. "Helios puck homage" or something like that UPDATE So i dug it out and am guessing i chose "sterile" dial and rubber strap, It is fully lumed but differs blue on dial and green on bezel.Wearing in now but also found my favourite Helm Komodo and Heimdallr bronze tuna in same watch case,so worth the effort
I just purchased this watch. Can anyone recommend a good rubber watch strap?
These are really nice ones.

Here's a quick video showing them too.

Good job doing a relatively original design
They've definitely done a good job. It's really well made... Especially for the price.
But I think it is Halios design
@@commentjedi I can definitely see the resemblance.
Are you sure caseback is screwed? There was a review of a steeldive puck that mentioned it only opens from crystal. This one looks too similar to have different caseback
The dail, hands, bezel, crown and glass are very nice. The overall size and hockey puck case is not to my taste at all.
That's fair enough, it won't be for everyone. Thanks for watching anyway.
It's just a very thick hockey puck. Quality wise most Addiesdive watches are good, but anyone should put one of these cheap upgraded clasps in the basket at the same time.
Yeah definitely a must buy add-on if you do pick up the watch.
1000m??? Humm.
Something different.
Good different?
Great review. FYI, there’s no such thing as an “indice”. Indices is the plural form of index. One index, two indices. 👍
Thanks. Yeah I don't know why I said that 🤦♂️
Needs better crownguards
It doesn't have any at all. That's the puck style.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR how do you avoid shearing the crown off if you get tangled in your commercial diving umbilical? :) one can dream, especially if they're gonna include a helium escape valve and write 1000 on the dial
If it’s not ISO rated then it’s just another “desk diver”!😜 But, it looks good though.👍🏼
A 1000m diver’s watch??! Really?? Is it ISO rated??😳
I highly doubt it.
scew down back on a 1000M watch . . wasnt expecting that so i will pass, otherwise looks good . . . cheers
I've used quite a few AliExpress watches for swimming before, with no issues. But I'd be surprised if it is actually 1000m.
Cronos makes one that has survived 3000m.
@@stevenfennell7020 Wow 🤯
I think the depth rating is legit from what I have seen /researched online.@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR
Nice review about the watch The only thing I couldn't stand was the whistle in his voice it drove my ears mad..........
Sorry about that. I have a deviated septum which the cause. I think I've managed to fix that for the latest reviews though.
@@HonestWatchReviewsHWR It is OK. At 71 I am getting surgery in Feb 24 for my deviated septum! Tell you how it is in March.
@@rrich52806 I had it done about 10 years ago myself. It was great for just over a week or so afterwards. But then it ended up going back to the way it was before, unfortunately. I have thought about getting it done again, but I'm worried the same thing might happen.
I hope yours goes well. February 24th is actually my birthday. The big 40.
1,000 M diver…….stupid marketing nonsense!
Have you tested it then?
Chinese - No thanks
Your house must be pretty empty then.
Most swiss watches use Chinese cases and bracelets they just don't tell you about it. You can thank your politicians for China being such an industrial powerhouse.
chinese = bad ^^ Such a NA thing
Seriously who dives to 1000m
