I have been wearing one of these as my daily since December. The lume is great and the watch is rock solid, it gets bashed around on an industrial site and there is no sign of scratches at all on the ceramic bezel or the sapphire. I have swapped it to a milled clasp and it's much nicer. Holds time much more accurately than my seiko samurai.

Crystal blows out, movement & dial drop out the front. And it's hard to put back together for the same reason - the crystal presses in after the dial and hands.
See my comment above how to remove it, no need for air. Just take a sticky caseback ball and rotate the crystal clockwise (as opposed to caseback which is CCW). It will take off the whole bezel assembly + crystal with it. @@JustOneMoreWatch
I’ve owned this watch for about three weeks. I’m very impressed with ever aspect of the watch, from the sapphire crystal to the outstanding lume. Unbelievable value for the dollar.
I have it. It's incredibly comfortable for its size and weight, the bracelet is good and balances the weight well, the lume is superbe - and it came very well regulated: less than a second+ per day.
Great watch...as long as you're not wearing it. Mine was great for about 2 months, the the indices started popping loose. It now has indices rattling around the dial. My opinion: save your money and get a better watch.
I purchased this watch right after seeing your review. It's a bad habit...I know. Anyway, for some reason, it was about 65USD. That sealed the deal. Now that I have it, I think it is every bit as amazing as you described. Sure, it's huge. TBH, you hardly notice due to the lug-to-lug distance. I also ditched the bracelet, replacing it with the resin strap left over from my Casio Duro. Fits like a glove and looks great. The lume...oh my, the lume...bright and easily lasts all night. I could easily read the time after eight hours in the rack. I don't have many watches capable of that. Been wearing it non-stop since it arrived. Great review and great recommendation.
Thank you Jody. Terrific recommendation. Mine arrived in the mail today and it's everything you said it would be. I put mine on a spare leather strap and love it. Outstanding value all around. A winner!
San Martin has a similar looking watch but better executed. Solar powered, one piece solid steel case ( no case back), also rated for a 100 ATM. San Martin SN0001 . It is an amazing watch but seems to go unnoticed by many.
That's pretty good if true! I remember seeing a 1000m Cronos watch being tested and it didn't stop until it hit 3000m on that hydraulic press channel! More impressive was that as soon as they released the pressure the watch started ticking again ! I do scuba dive, however if I ever find myself as deep as 1000m, you can be sure I'm not coming back up to tell anyone if the watch leaked or not 😂 But no seal on the crown could well mean it will leak at 50m.
I picked up an Addiesdive Willard last year. It's damn fine looking, quality and with massive lume, and sapphire. I was surprised by the quality, especially for the price. I wear it as a beater for work, trading off with a GW6900 and a DW5610.
I bought this right before the sale on a SuperDeal and it's already one of my favorite watches already. Just a silly great deal for something very well constructed.
I bought the San Martin with the sw200 movement a few years back. It’s a monocoque case that doesn’t open from the rear at all but is even thicker I think. I have it on an Italian rubber strap in red to contrast the blue. If only it was a bit thinner.
Great homage to the Halios Puck! I was able to get mine for $68 all in during the anniversary sale. As stated in the review, the bracelet is just ok --I swapped mine out for a tropic rubber. Perfect! The lume is really impressive. Now I want the blue version too LOL!
So timely that I viewed this video today, since I'm wearing the same watch. Love this piece. It's tough, solid, good looking, great lume, and an all around great daily beater. Thanks for reviewing it and bringing attention to a quality watch at an impressive price. I can't wait until the day that I visit Captaiin Nemo and test it's water resistance bone fides.
It's a Puck homage, mine had the date window a bit misaligned ,and the bezel had afair amount of backplay , but was sorted really quickly on supply of a video.
The dial can be accessed once the bezel insert is removed. There is a spring retention to the bezel itself and a screwed on crystal. You can easily remove the whole assembly if you take a sticky ball and rotate crystal clockwise (caseback is CCW). It's rather easy. This watch itself is amazing as a base for modding, I sandblasted mine and changed the dial + hands.
Hi. I would like to mod this as well. Do you remove the bezel by unscrewing those tiny screws on the bezel? Then use a sticky ball to unscrew the crystal? I saw a vid of someone unscrewing both the crystal and bezel together, but that was the Steeldive version of the puck. Thanks in advance for any insights!
No, don't bother with those screws, they aren't connected to anything. Just use the ball and turn crystal RIGHT (clockwise). Make sure it's grippy (wash the caseback ball with detergent beforehand). Also leave the strap on as you will have a better grip on the watch itself. It's rather straightforward. You can even tighten the wire inside for the bezel to have a more solid click.
Got one myself for under £50, running at -20 a day (not yet regulated), a bit of backplay on the bezel. And the pin on the safety clasp lock snapped off and I haven't even worn it yet.... But still worth it.
Jody I bought the Cronos 1000m/3000m & it’s awesome. BUT! The same movement & at $85 USD compared to the Cronos at around $213 USD, the Addiesdive is an absolute bargain! I put my Cronos immediately on a rubber strap as I kept going around in circles with the weight!😆
Jody, thanks for introducing us to this magnificent piece! You sir, are a legend. I just picked up a blue one. It was more than that specially-priced one you got but the only watch I own with a black dial is my Lunar Pilot and that's only because of authenticity. For the most part, I find watches with black dials to be terribly boring and I always prefer blue if it's available. Still a great deal on a 46mm watch (which means it's not too small for me) with a depth rating of 1km.
I got one of these when they were called Steeldive, which is a nicer brand name in my opinion. It's a great conversation starter and is extremely well put together. The only downside is that pressed clasp. Maybe time to mod it!
Make it a diver's 200M -- so a bit thinner -- and it's a winner for my wrist. Great lume and I like the all-lumed second hand, nice! Very legible overall, too. Thanks for the review.
Impressive! Be aware that there are less expensive Barton silicone elitestrap cloans on Amazon and possibly other sites. I bought at least one so far and except for branding and other color choices, they seem to be identical.
How is the lug to lug 40mm with the case being 46mm, The fact the end links fold in a little doesn’t subtract from the case diameter once it is on the wrist. 🤷🏻♂️
I have one of these and I love it, of all my AD watches this is my fave. The short lug to lug means anyone can wear it. I quite like the metal bracelet and that is what I wear it on. I also have a 7" wrist and I removed 4 links, I like a fairly lose fit and this is perfect. In the UK though its way colder than Aussie, so this could account for the 1 link different. Cheers for the review, loved it as usual :)
I received mine yesterday and it's an absolute tank. What makes me slightly uncomfortable is how they've put 'Diver's' on the case back which suggests it's ISO certified (Which it definitely won't be). Does throw into question whether or not it could actually achieve 1000m water resistant and if the helium escape valve is functional or just decorative. For the price though it's a great watch
Tauchmeister watches are also cool and not that expensive with 1000m water resistance, I have one and it's pretty cool even took it for a few freedivng sessions no problems
I have (and love) my Steeldive "Captain Willard" watch. Can you show this watch near the Captain Willard, for comparison? I always have space for just one more watch...
Very helpful review thanks. The top bezel and glass have to be unscrewed just like the back case as one unit for that "Puck" model if I'm not mistaken. Get one of those rubber balls. I seem to recall another youtuber doing it successfully that way.
The rubber strap. Is there anything special about where it attaches to the case? It looks as though the strap is straight yet the vast majority of straps I see have “covers” ( for want of a better word) to cover from lug to lug but this has no lugs. Do I need to look for a straight band or a normal band and cut the “covers” off? I hope that made sense.
Greetings from Brazil! I bought this watch since It was released and payed more than 100 dolars. It's a homage watch from "Halios" a brand (a CANADIAN brand) that is not very famous.
I bought a no-logo version of this watch three years ago and love it. As others have said by now, it's an homage of a Halios hockey-puck watch that must have been a popular microbrand model when the Addiesdive xerox machines first went into action designing it. The bezel action was wonky -- either too loose or too tight -- and after some googling I found that to get it off you had to unscrew the crystal with a rubber ball. After doing this and trying to manipulate the tension ring to achieve perfection, it turned out worse than before. So I gave up and try not to think about it. I just look at the thing. It has a certain platonic perfection to it -- the ideal watch.
I haven’t had any luck with addisedive watches. I like there dome treatment on there watches though. Keep up the good work. Tell me how the big brand watch makers can sell their watches at such a large sum with a straight face. Considering that some Chinese brands are just as good.
I was actually wearing this when you released the video. Got it a few months back for laughs, but for the money its great . The lumed second hand seema to be a mew feature, cos mine from a year ago doesnt have it. Nevertheless, this is a chonker of a watch - a direct homage of the Halios Puck (which they don't make anymore so all bets are off). I really wish the hydraulic press channel would take a crack at it.
I have just ordered one from your link, I already have an MWC Depthmaster which I love, but at this price I had to order it. Remember guys, if the wife ever says “is that a new watch you’re wearing” your response is “what this old thing, no I’ve had this for years”.
I got it because it looked nice, large and had good readability, don't really care if 1000m is real. 57 eur on new year sale, one of the best ali deals.
Good value for sure. Funny opening it may jeopardize the water proofing now, would have been good to take it somewhere and pressure test it to see how it actually held up! Cool vid
I have the original one from 2012 (nicknamed The Puck) from the micro brand Halios, it is powered by an ETA 2824-2. There was a black DLC version and also a blue dial one. If I'm not wrong in 2020 was introduced the Puck 2.0 powered by a Miyota 9015, different dial with rounded indexes. Great watch, very wearable thanks to the lug to lug. The lume is much better than on this one, the external screws were there to maintain the bezel in place I don't know if it's the same on this replica/homage. Unfortunately mine needs to be serviced/repaired but when I saw this one, I thought it could be a nice temporary replacement.
I bought the Addiesdive tuna in the last Ali sale and noticed this watch for the first time. It's certainly a big bold watch almost to the point of being ridiculous. I kind of love it. And the price is pretty amazing. I used AI-enhanced search to determine that this watch might be a homage of the Halios 1000M Puck, a watch I'd never heard of from a microbrand I'd never heard of. Since I don't see any other watches with this case style, it seems reasonable that Addies uses the exact same case. I'd be interested to know if there are any differences between the two. The Halios appears to have an o-ring on the crown, so it's likely the Addiesdive can also be fitted with one. Addiesdive seems to make minor improvements with each run, so we might see a crown seal in the future.
Hi Jody! I would like to see this dial on a more conventional dive watch with 200m water resistant, 47mm lug to lug and a height of 12mm. Best wishes, Claus
Got their Willard with the white ripple dial and the Tuna (with the same bracelet as this) in the November sale. Both with delivery and tax for £100. You can’t beat that for value and a build quality that puts many watches at 10 times the price to shame. OK the logo is a bit sus but it’s part of the charm.

@@Incursorious can I just add oring to the last thread if the crown to make better seal?
Addiesdive/ Steeldive 1000m vs Tuna 300 m vs Captain Willard….What is the best ? Thanks
Always fun to see your videos
First, never sleep on the Addies/steel dive lume.
Second, I know Sub homages are played out, but the Addies quartz sub for about $35 is great.
Impressive! Be aware that there are less expensive Barton silicone elitestrap cloans on Amazon and possibly other sites. I bought at least one so far and except for branding and other color choices, they seem to be identical.
How is the lug to lug 40mm with the case being 46mm,
The fact the end links fold in a little doesn’t subtract from the case diameter once it is on the wrist.
Bought two, one for my father and one for me. Using Jodi´s link. Today is at 64 USD
Funny you checked this one out. Mine should be shipped in the next day or 2. Can't wait to wear it.
I had bought it before the review, I wear it daily, heavy but I like it...
Love this in a review. Taking it apart to discover and assess if it is the real deal.
I brought this watch on sale, knocked it out of the park again mate. It wears really nice I was surprised at that.
Got their Tuna with a champagne dial a bit ago, bracelet it came on is okay but I put it on a rubber strap instead. Great value.
I got the blue dial Tuna from Addiesdive, first thing I did was throw a $7 milled clasp on it and boom, brilliant watch for about 95 Aussie pesos ❤
I have just ordered one from your link, I already have an MWC Depthmaster which I love, but at this price I had to order it. Remember guys, if the wife ever says “is that a new watch you’re wearing” your response is “what this old thing, no I’ve had this for years”.
I really like that, defo look better on the rubber, very surprised such a big diameter actually sits fine.
I got it because it looked nice, large and had good readability, don't really care if 1000m is real. 57 eur on new year sale, one of the best ali deals.
It's my kind of watch! I do love perfect circle/lugless design watches
I would definitely get one. I'm very impressed with my San Martin Chinese watch
I had an addies dive watch a quartz submariner and for 25 quid it was bombproof. Alot better built than the vostok i bought
Hi Jody,could you do a review of a watch,with a Power indicator.i know it's a novelty,but I've always wanted one.Thanks.
Ordered one of the back of this video. First Addisdive, first Aliexpress order.
Currently shopping to build a Tuna but i might just buy one of these and change the dial
Very nice. It might be a little better if the hour/minute hands were a contrasting or different color.
Handsome watch and it's a great deal for that price.
Hi Jody!
I would like to see this dial on a more conventional dive watch with 200m water resistant, 47mm lug to lug and a height of 12mm.
Best wishes,
Claus
Came for some watch content in the background, now i am considering buying it😅
Great review Jody, I will buy one of these and stop going to the gym!!!!
That was fun! Thanks! Do you have a link to a recommended milled clasp?

But this one only 22mm but you get the idea. Cheers!
this is actually very similar to the Halios Puck 1 watch out of Vancouver. I have one. It’s 47mm.
How do they make a profit ?
Great review
I really like the part in the intro where Jody States the maximum pressure of his testing machine in a way that it can be heard as "6ATM" or "680m". It's a good thing I knew what machine he was talking about or I might still be wondering. 😅
Great review as always. Unfortunately I won't be buying this one as I bought two o🪠Origins and I'm tapped out for the moment. 😳
Great videos!!
I have an Addiesdive myself, fantastic for the cash, but - if you're going to need that much water resistance, you aren't going to spend less than $100.
Is it a homage of the Seiko bottle cap?
these have been around for about 5yrs under different names, same Chinese makers. i have one somewhere. i read a review from someone who DiD take it apart and he stated the movement came out via the top...i.e. removing the bezel.
You should get your hands on an Oceaneva. 1,623M depth tested, Titanium case and bracelet - just over $349 with coupon code.
I would buy one but they won’t ship to Canada for some reason.
Erm...how can a completely circular watch be 46mm im diameter, yet 40mm lug-to-lug?
Because the lugs are hidden underneath the case.
Doood - much better lighting now than the aquarium setup 👌! The 2 candles in the backdrop give me some Advent vibes in Spring - but hey, it's Xmas on Ali all year long, I guess 😅
Maybe test divers on a wet/dry suit for real use?
I think a flexing strap is better when I'm pulling it onto a suited arm.
Pretty incredible really
Looks like a perfectly fun watch.
Got 1 of these lined up with my 15 Aragons… 💯 awesome watch…!!! 👍😊👊💥
I would rock that. I would have paint the tip of the second hand fluorescent orange, though.b The crown tube without a seal has me baffled. There has to be a seal somewhere. Maybe only in the crown. Not good!
Even if it can go that deep it would mess with time keeping like Seiko discovered with the tuna and decided to go with quartz
Already got a 1000m fauxdiver with 5mm sapphy, fixed plain bezel and a BS escape valve. Fantastic tool watch.
