I always found the kid kliner kinda boring after the great build up earlier in the season. He is just an insane guy who anyone with half a brain would not follow over his father, because his father was a shrewd businessman who was adept at creating criminal enterprises and creating wealth for everyone involved while his son is just a crazy guy willing to kill anyone and doesn't seem to have the same ability or intelligence.
I would argue that while his father was shrewd, he wasn't smart enough or have the emotional capacity to handle the business if he couldn't recognize that his son was one of the "loose ends" of the business. Clearly his kid was a problem from the beginning for the father, but the father just couldn't send the message home. I see where you're coming from though... it's an interesting point. Almost two sides of the family coin.

Exposition is used to let the audience know what happened. At some point the story has to make sense to the viewer. If they don't know why and how things are done they can't follow the story. It doesn't look sophisticated but that's just how the medium works. You have to tell the viewer what happened. If there was a better way of doing that they'd be doing it.

We’re talking about the lazy exposition dump of the antagonists revealing all their evil plans at the end for no reason other than the fact that the writers couldn’t integrate that into the actual plot. Every other quality TV show or film that doesn’t have a cliche villain speech manages to do that. It’s not at all a question of budget, especially given the actual content of the video and what the comment is criticizing.
I have to say that Chris Webster did a helluva job as KJ, because I spent the entire first season waiting for Reacher to slap the taste out of his mouth! And THAT was after having already read the book!

Yeah it's a shame. The books had only Reacher as a constant and everybody else would go away for the next book. TV is mostly having the same characters in multiple seasons. To retain the characters would mean writing new material, not sure how good they can make it and how much control Lee Child has over those aspects.

This scene was even better in the book. In that version, Reacher had already killed KJ in the fight at the Hubble house (Dawson isn't a character in the book). So when Kliner Sr. demands Reacher go find Hubble, Reacher stares him down and taunts the fact that his son is dead. "Why don't you ask Kliner Junior to do it? Where's your son, Kliner? Why isn't he here?" Cold as hell.
The KJ told Jack that he killed Jack's brother, he must have known that Jack would dedicate every second from that point onward to find an opening to snap his head clean off. Because the likelihood of him genuinely just being that suicidal after all he's done is higher than the likelihood of him having been born with such little grey matter that he thinks letting Jack roam free after telling him exactly how much of a piece of waste he had been is a good idea. That, brother, is a death warrant even the Devil won't compete to close. _Because even the Devil knows to stay the _*_f*ck_*_ out of the way of Jack Reacher getting revenge._ There's a saying, 'Dumb as a rock.', but i don't think it quite applies. Agreed. Probably the only weak spot in an otherwise enjoyable show. He was just too cartoonish, and him being the “final boss” didn’t seem believable.
