Lovely WW2 Royal Marines silver sweetheart brooch, it would have been worn by the wife or girlfriend of a serving soldier, excellent find. All the best Wendy and Jon
@@disabledadventures4115 great information, thank you so much! I am learning new stuff all the time with thanks to people like you. I hope you have been lucky too. ATB guys 👍👍
What a great treasure hunt and very interesting finds , I was going to say that the flat piece was a gaming cup for dice ,look forward to see you going back there good luck see you on the next 👌
@@AQUAMARTMDUK thanks Marty! The gaming cup was all I could come up with but still haven’t got a positive ID as of yet, will keep you posted when I do though 👍👍
Very exciting finds there, a lot of activity going on in that orchard . One thing I always look for on a hunt is apple trees as they mean human activity 😉
Hey Steve, yeah I just admit I do like doing old orchards as they have nearly always have really really interesting stuff in them. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍👍
@@jasonmileham thanks Jase! I thought that at first but it’s the wrong size and shape even going back a hundred years. The fact it went on a ring though is very special, when it fell off the person must have been gutted 👍👍
Hey Kelley, that’s not a bad suggestion at all. I can see that frame being around a hand held mirror of some kind for sure. Thanks and hope your well 👍👍
That gilded find is a really intriguing object. Hope you manage to get a good ID on it - if you do, please let us all know next time. Thanks for sharing👍
@@bwc1878 thanks! I have sent a picture off to the FLO so hoping I may get some more suggestions from them. It has been suggested that it was the top part to a scabbard however I am a little sceptical, hopeful but sceptical 👍👍
@@jessestone3915 well I did not know that! For a good hour my knee burned but after the swelling subsided it went again. Vicious little guys aren’t they! 👍👍
These are some really exciting finds! Just a thought - and it could be way off, but if there is wood fibre inside of the the flattened bit, that would be a good case for a drinking vessel
@@jordandoucet6887 hey Jordan, that’s such a cool suggestion mate. It’s currently soaking at the moment but when it’s ready to come out I’ll now be checking for fibres for sure. Thanks 👍👍
