Holy Moly. Only 1,008,000 minted. And that one is a stunner. A super gentle water only soaking and a gentle towel tap dry, should do it some justice. A true find of a lifetime. Congrats NN.👍✌

Great hunt! I'm in WI so watching you find 1700's finds is so fun! I don't find things much older than 1860 or so. But still love it! You always make me smile young man!

Small tip: carry an extra water bottle lid, drill a very small hole, in the lid, play with different size holes, it will act like a pressure washer, so you can clean stuff up, and use much less water..

Congratulations on your Carson City seated Liberty half dollar! Definitely worth all your work! I'm so bummed to be missing your dig on May 4 in SC. My anticipated knee surgery has turned in to double bypass heart surgery on the 24th of April. Any prayers very much welcomed.

Great finds! I looked up that seated half dollar in PCGS website, in a grade 40 from what i can see from the video goes for $900. Nice day for detecting!

Send that coin to be graded! It could be a $2000-5000 coin. Amazing find.

Is the man on the powder flask wearing a kilt and a sporran? I'd guess he's a Scot out hunting with his dog and his musket and his hunting horn - no clue as to age or origin of the flask though.
It definitely looks like the man is wearing a kilt with sporran.

Hi NN. Seated 1875 1/2 Doller cc mint. One here in the UK for £370!! Great find man.
flat buttons are dated to 1790's-1820's, Pewter buttons are dated to 1750's-1810's and my friend from Digstock found a seated liberty dime from 1875.

Too Think Back in 1972 , I gave away My coin collection to my Nephew, It had 5 silver Half dollars , all in the mid 1800's, The collection was all silver , Dimes Indian head Nickels .

What was unbelievable was how he called "silver coin", then for some reason, there was no brown vegetation growing outta that very dark rectangular spot, that after he scored-it, popped-up like a whack-a-mole, and the thickness of what he pulled-up, was just right to magically "reveal" that 1875 Seated Half...ya know, the silver coin he "hoped he'd find"😮

According to the NGC Price Guide, as of May 2024, a Seated Liberty Half Dollar from 1875 in circulated condition is worth between $48 and $1600. However, on the open market 1875 CC Half Dollars in pristine, uncirculated condition sell for as much as $36500.

The powder flask soldier looks like a Hessian soldier that fought during the Civil War.

That's not a Hessian; THAT'S A SCOTSMAN! He's a Revolutionary War Highlander, in a kilt with a Sporan, even the Glengary Cap with a tall feather.
