I like how each one of ur versus videos have the same background and theme of the movies being talked about during the video! Seriously I CANNOT stress this enough! U r absolutely one of if not the best movie reviewer I watch! I hope u get to 1 million subscribers some day because you deserve it! I personally didnt mind Frozen 2 but I understand its flaws. Keep up the incredible work bro! It will pay off drastically for you someday!!!
You know what's funny: Frozen II didn't have dark moments and still got a PG rating and the Toy Story franchise had dark elements and it still managed to have a G rating.
One thing I never noticed while watching Frozen 2 is that how did Olaf not melt at all? At the end of the first movie, we see him get a snow cloud in order to survive but in the second movie, it's just nowhere to be seen and he's somehow just fine. I didn't realise this until after watching the movie and now that I know, it's really annoying me.
@@bigbangbot-SuperSqank Well it's almost impossible to show all that stuff in less than 1 hour 30 min, because you can't just have moment alone, you need to connect it and at the end it just needs to be there as a simple comment to give the answer. For me it was more than enough
You didn't laugh when Olaf was telling the backstory of Anna and Elsa? My siblings went to seen and we laugh so hard we almost cried happy tears😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
I can see how some people would find that funny, but that's an old joke that I have seen in a lot of kids shows/movies, both old and new. So it didn't have an impact for me personally.
I liked both, but I felt that the writers didn't know how to write anyone who wasn't Anna or Elsa in the sequel. Olaf seems more exaggerated and over the top, Kristoff is reduced to failing repeatedly to propose to Anna, and some of the supporting characters are completely pointless and forgotten about once they're introduced. ⛄❄
@@beeble7636 yeah, Anna felt more passive in this story. Yes, she's afraid of being separated from Elsa after being alone since the accident in the first movie, but most times Anna is just running around worrying where Elsa is without really affecting the plot. She even does something in the movie where they're in danger that was foolish, and the movie had the utter nerve to make her just as right as Elsa-she had everything under control after all.
In my opinion, I liked Frozen II better than the first film, and I do agree with the little issues with the plot but I loved the main characters and songs, and I understand that since they’re your own opinions
I agree I like frozen II More. And this man doesn't have to judge or share his opinion meanly. He just needs to say "I didn't like it." THAT'S IT. I ALSO HATE IT WHEN HE SAYS "Olaf annoyed me in frozen 2"
And literally the prequel you said is in Frozen II as well lol. If there really is a Frozen III, maybe another story. Maybe Hans will be back. A classic Disney Villain vs Disney Princesses movie. And maybe that could end the whole franchise
Frozen Salad I was sorta thinking aggnar and iduna’s love story we know how they met and it seems they were good friends but we don’t know how they fell in love (unless I miss that in the movie)
@@yozoaki Or maybe a movie that would probably have a big plot hole from the second movie like they go up against a person that's like Elsa but what have different powers and they have to go up against a person because they're threatening Arendelle and the Elemental Forest but like I said I would probably be you be a big plot hole from the second movie but I don't really care as long as they make it third movie and they make it more aged up because if it take another 6 years to make a another Frozen movie I would be 21 I'd still want to see if Frozen 3
Kristine Opalberg I’m 10 I watched the first frozen when I was 4 I watched frozen 2 a while ago,and I memorized all the lyrics of into the unknown and show yourself, and I find Olaf very funny ^^
I'm not going to lie, some parts of the story of Frozen 2 were so overly complicated I got lost. I didn't even know Elsa died until Olaf told his rendition of the story at the end of the credits.
I truly feel that if this had been treated like a 10 episode miniseries for Disney+, it would've given the expanded world building and new and old characters more development, more opportunities to be darker, etc. Frozen's sequel could've been called Frozen: Into the Unknown I find Frozen 2 to be an OK but an unnecessary sequel, like a 6-7/10 rating.
Great video, Eric. I liked your takes on both films. And even though I loved Frozen 2, I respect your opinion, and I do agree that Kristoff got sidelined. As for the first one, in my opinion, while I do love the relationship between Anna and Elsa, I felt that Elsa got sidelined. When she’s on screen, her development was absolutely phenomenal. But it felt like Disney thought that Anna was the heart and soul of the film, when in reality it was both of them. I think the sequel improved on that by having the main focus being their relationship, and I thought it was masterful. It’s a tough call on which one’s better for me. The first film makes less mistakes, but the one mistake it did make was something that I think could’ve easily been corrected. The second film took a lot of risks that payed off beautifully, but it felt a bit rushed at times, and, outside of Elsa, Anna, and Olaf, we don’t get much time to spend with Kristoff, Sven, and the new characters. I think both of their visuals are amazing, and both soundtracks are ear candy. I also think they go extremely well together in terms of seeing the characters grow up, and, at least with the case of the two sisters, it was tremendous, and it inspired me to open myself up to my family and friends to realize who I am. If I had to pick, I’d go with the first one because it blew me away when I first saw it. I didn’t have high hopes for it, but I was knocked out harder than I’ve EVER been watching a movie. With the second one, it had so much to live up to, and I think they tried to make a really great follow up without it feeling like a cash grab. And, it didn’t feel corporate at all to me, it felt like a natural expansion and progression. Even though I liked the first film a bit more, I think both of these films are up there as some of Disney’s finest as true Disney Classics. Whew, this was long. There’s so much to talk about. Once again, great video, and thank you for being respectful to the viewers.
Please compare Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, to Jumanji: The Next Level. I think the second one is more entertaining, since the actors have a MUCH wider range of acting to work with.
Mister WiZeguy That would be such an awesome video, personally I like the first one a bit more but both the films goes together very well so that would be a good comparison
Yep. It takes lot of nerves for people to have opinions nowadays because of how judgmental everyone to the point where if they don’t like your opinion, it’s automatically “wrong” or “not honest”
Maybe you need to watch this again. That “lizard” is one of the 5 elements. (Also he’s a salamander) I feel you just can’t even try to support change. Disney worked on t Frozen and Frozen II for a long time. And comparing these movies that are barely related wasn’t necessary. They sing because it is a MUSICAL. I’m sorry but this whole thing is absolutely overdramatized and rude. Disney works extremely hard on their movies and if you have nothing good to say about it, then why don’t you try and make a Disney movie yourself. I’m sorry if this comes off as rude but this is absolutely ridiculous.
lps puppy tails honestly I’m so glad someone there’s someone like you. I keep seeing these reviews come up in my recommendation and I’m like people don’t waste ur time. It was a cute beautiful movie you don’t need to over think it ok! If you don’t like this movie and all you have to say is negative thoughts don’t make a video like this. Like you said! Don’t even compare. And be got mad that the parents had to go out and die like um did you even watch the second movie. They went out and “died” BECAUSE they tried to go find out the truth about there daughter. Yeah this video is just straight rude. If you don’t have anything nice to say don’t say it.
Eh that goes to us too, then. If we don't like the video, then stop watching it and do whatever we want without commenting anything. This person expresses their opinion the way we express ours. Just because Disney worked hard on a movie doesn't mean people can't criticize it.
@@scarlet3080 Will people wouldn't criticize if he didn't sound so stupid comparing the movies and sing stupid stuff he can't just said it normally but no he has to go out of his way to make you feel like frozen she was on a whole different level than the second movie which is completely stupid he could have just said it like this Frozen one was a better movie than Frozen 2 she didn't have the batshit talk the movie he didn't have to f****** be completely rude to the movie Do just said it normally but no he had a to fucing do was just said it normally but but no he had a fucking disrespecting attitude talking about it and I wouldn't normally care about this kind of videos cuz I like his videos but this is just completely stupid
Songs in a musical should have an overall purpose for the narrative. If they fail to contribute to the narrative then the film fails as a musical. Look at Cats.
A musical doesn’t mean it’s all songs and absolutely no plot. And at least make the songs good if it’s mainly songs. Plus each song should have a purpose narratively and frozen 2 only has songs to pad out the run time
happy_. jelly it’s not a good way to tell them for example when Anna sings after Elsa and Olaf die, she gets over it too quickly she doesn’t develop after that she just gets over it
@@Pinkyorangegirl I also hate how they split Elsa and Anna up at the end. They're a sister team, and besides, we spent the whole first movie trying to get them back together only to split them up again?
I liked the frozen two film more than frozen 1 I do agree I don’t like how they sing a lot it’s kind of annoying but it kinda sounds like he’s hateing on movie frozen 2
Sorry, but I disagree with many of the things you said about the sequel. I personally think it's better than the first. Buckle up, because this is going to be long. I've read many reviews for the second film and pretty much all of the criticism I’ve seen has to do with the plot being unfocused and rushed at times, with points made about the convolution of the mythology elements. On the other hand, the praise I’ve seen has to do with the growth of the characters, how appealing Anna and Elsa’s development is, and the overall message of accepting change, righting past wrongs, and being who you’re meant to be. It’s almost like the critics who didn’t like the movie and the fans who did had completely different expectations for what they wanted to see, with the former expecting some intricate fantasy plot that all clicks together and is fully fleshed out, while the latter is expecting to see their favorite characters face new adventures while growing their relationships and personal identities. And this latter interpretation is the defining point of Frozen’s appeal, even more so in the sequel: the franchise is all about the story arcs of Anna and Elsa and how their bond as sisters helps them grow stronger together as well as individually. In Frozen 2, it’s the characters that are driving the plot instead of the plot driving the characters. And because of this, the movie would rather spend more time focusing on character songs and interactions (not just Anna and Elsa but Olaf and Kristoff too) than exposition and fleshing out of story elements. It would rather spend time showing Kristoff singing about his pining for Anna’s love, give Olaf scenes showing how his new-found knowledge has made him view the world, and give Elsa a follow-up to “Let It Go” in “Show Yourself,” than to spend time explaining, say, the Northuldra culture, how the spirits can make decisions like giving Elsa powers, or exactly how the magic of Ahtohallan works. Yes, this does make some story points lacking and hurried, but I feel that the film-making team relies on the fact that we’re so in love with these characters that not understanding every detail in the lore and plot won’t ruin our enjoyment. And, from the acclaim the movie’s getting, I’d say they’re right. Frozen has always been about quality character story arcs as opposed to quality world-building, but the reason this is more prominent in Frozen 2 is because the first movie had a smaller scale story with minimal lore to focus on, so the character arcs stood out more. Because the sequel brings in more world-building elements, it’s easy for someone who’s not invested in the characters to focus on and judge the movie based on the fine details of the plot. Of course it would be nice if we could have both: intricate, solid world-building as well as character development, but that would probably make the movie too long - it could work for an ongoing series but not for a time-restricted Disney movie that only has a degree of creative liberties and still has to adhere to certain story flows and formulas. So then the questions are, did I feel enough was explained in Frozen 2 to make sense of the story even if a handful of things were lacking? Did the quality of the characters and their developments and relationships make up for a plot that was a bit messy and unfocused? I’d say the answer to these questions is yes. But other than a few missing and rushed plot pieces and a little poor writing in Kristoff’s scenes, I thought the movie delivered very well. The love Anna has for Elsa is so amazingly conveyed in this movie that you don’t even need to see the first movie to understand it. All of their interactions and conversations felt so genuine. Olaf was very funny even if all of his jokes didn’t hit their mark. Most of the songs were great and really felt like they were written to move the characters and story forward and not just to be earworms kids will always want to sing. “The Next Right Thing” is one of the darkest moments I’ve seen in any Disney movie, but also one of the most emotionally moving and I have to give kudos to the creative team for keeping it in. “Show Yourself” is the true successor to “Let It Go” (why do they keep pushing “Into the Unknown”?) and is such a beautifully sung and beautifully animated sequence. Speaking of the movie’s animation, it’s gorgeous and it’s so amazing how far the technology has come since the first Frozen. There’s so much detail and nuances in the characters’ expressions and actions that only multiple viewings can pick up on. Of course, I can’t complete this review unless I discuss the elephant in the room - the ending. Anyone who’s been around the fandom the past couple months knows how bent out of shape everyone got once a vague description of the ending leaked online. Now that I’ve seen it for myself and know all the context, I’m okay with the message: Because Iduna did the right thing and saved Agnarr despite him being her enemy, the spirits gifted their child with powers that could be used to correct the past wrong, should she choose to. And because Anna did the right thing by choosing to destroy her kingdom to save the forest, the spirits freed Elsa who, in turn, was able to save Arendelle. Elsa fully embraced herself and is able to live as she wants, but still able to see her family when she wants. It’s not that she didn’t like being queen of Arendelle and living with Anna and the others, but now that she knows exactly what she is - the fifth spirit - she wants to explore that, but is still able to have a life with her family too. Likewise, Anna has found a purpose she never had before. Even though it’s a major change, she’s happy because she knows Elsa is happy and they can still see each other whenever they want. But as I said, exactly what Elsa does as the fifth spirit should have been explained more (hoping it does in future installments). For what we got though, it was a happy ending, but I won’t say it’s satisfying until we get some more information in future books, filmmaker interviews, and, hopefully, future animated shorts and sequels. This movie is all about coming to grips with change and I’ll definitely be doing that in reality depending on what the future holds for the Frozen franchise. But as of now, I’m still willing to follow Anna and Elsa into the unknown.
Frozen VS. Frozen II Songs Show Yourself -> Let It Go Some Things Never Change -> For The First Time In Forever When I'm Older -> In Summer Lost In The Wood -> Reindeers Are Better Than People Which is better? Frozen or Frozen II Like - Frozen Comment - Frozen II
Show Yourself is better than Let It Go For The First Time in Forever it's better than some things never change Summer is better than when I'm older lost in the woods is better than Reindeers Are Better Than People
11:47 "she just went from one to a hundred too quickly" Uh, obviously? Anna took her glove which was her basic *fear* (in which you iterated multiple times that that was the basic thing that kept Elsa interesting. Her fear of releasing her powers and hurting others) I could feel why Elsa asked Anna to leave cuz it was the only way to get Hans away.
Great job Eric! I honestly didn't think you were going to do this vs. but I'm very happy you did. While we're on the subject on Disney sequels, what did you think of Ralph Breaks the Internet and is it better than the first Wreck it Ralph?
She didn't freeze because of guilt, she froze because she ignored the lullaby's warning "Dive down deep into her sound, but not too far, or you'll be drowned." Elsa went in too deep and as a result drowned because of it.
@@EricCarter12 plz do a creed vs Creed 2. and or rocky lV vs Creed 2 but take your time with it. ( if you agree to do it )around the end of March or begging of April
I loved both films, but Frozen 2 felt... I don't know, it felt like the writers didn't know what they wanted to do with it? They were so focused on making the next Let it Go that the story unfortunately suffered. I enjoyed it but there were quite a few times I felt myself getting bored and had to resist the urge to check the time on my phone. Especially during Kristoff's out of place rock ballad. I went to see Frozen 1 twice in theaters when it came out, and then I watched it three more times since I got it on DVD, I'm perfectly content with not see Frozen 2 again. I feel like I can just listen to the soundtrack and get more out of it. That said, I did like it, but I liked Frozen 1 more.
You do know the “LIZARD” no sir that is a salamander also known as Bruni the fire spirt. And he is an actual part of the movie not an excuse to sell toys. This movie takes place in an enchanted forest with wind, fire, water, earth, and a secret spirit for those who haven’t seen the movie. The characters are challenged by Gale the wind spirit, BRUNI THE SALAMANDER fire spirit, the water nokk spirit, and the earth giants who really don’t need to be explained. Without the Bruni the story will be off. Try watching the movie again and think for a minute please
Why would they make a murder man a king who let a couple Traumatized they're daughter And just ask a Pebble they found in the woods to erase the memories of a girl
See what I see is that 90% of the times sequels are worse than the original but this sequel surpassed its predesassor and is now officially called as the biggest animated sequel of all time
It felt to me that elsa went on the same arc twice she felt scared that she would miss up and ruin everything and in the second it was the same thing just that before it was because of her powers and now its because...................
At least she did out of fear in Frozen 1. She wanted to help but couldn’t, until she finally did at the end of Frozen 1. In F2, she just wanted to get away for no reason. It didn’t feel like the same character. She was a completely different person in F2 than in F1, and not in a good way. I liked her way better in F1
In defense of Anna coming back to life, the remedy for a frozen heart-saving Anna-was an act of true love. Yes, Anna realized that Kristoff's love was real and thought that would cure her if she kissed him. But that's not what the cure was: the type of love the movie was talking about sacrificing what you want because you love someone, not the romantic kind. If Anna had kissed Kristoff, she would've died and never come back. Now, one of the nitpicks of the original was that they didn't specify what love Elsa was invoking to free Arendelle from the winter curse but, again, a nitpick.
A lot of young kids being butthurt about this guy hating on the film... *SERIOUSLY? OVER FROZEN 2?!!!* Maybe he was a bit harsh,(I will say that i do agree to an extent, I was kinda disappointed when he reviewed Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, but that's my problem) but it's his opinion, not yours. I'll just say this about this movie; I thought it was on par with the first movie, though i think the first one was a bit better. Not great films in my opinion,(I also think they are overrated) but fine for what they are.
Sorry imo but I like Frozen 2 over the first film the first movie is overrated to me now it's good but not super godly like Into the Spiderverse I see the flaws in that film now. Frozen 2 was so satisfying probably one of my favourite Disney film this year next to Endgame to watch at least they didn't left me pissed unlike Captain Marvel, The Lion King and The Rise of Skywalker.
There was a trailer for a sequel to A Quiet Place literally 3 hours ago (at the time of this comment going live). I cannot wait until you review and compare it to the original
They focused on making another Let It Go so much that they forgot to make another movie as good and memorable as the first Frozen. What's sad is they couldn't even make another Let It Go...
Exactly, we all know that 99.9% of sequels are only made because the original made the company a lot of money, and they just want to cash in on that success!💷
Please, a lot of people know the first movie had all that success because of one song, precisely "let it go". Honestly I think the songs in frozen 2 are better, and I prefer two great songs such as "into the unknown" and "show yourself" that just one "let it go" (that btw a lot of people hate because it became waaaay too popular)
@@aracelichely2954 Frozen's entire success completely didn't depend on the songs. Yeah, the songs were a big part of it's success but not 100% of the reason it was successful. I have seen kids who don't care about Let It Go but love the movie itself.
Let it go is a once in a generation type of song that cannot be topped. I’m not talking about people opinions on the song. I’m talking about the impact it had. Everyone knows the lyrics to Let it go, including people who never even watched Frozen. No one would ever be able to surpass its impact even if they tried. The saddest part about F2 for me was that it felt nothing like Frozen 1. It ruined the story and undid the character arcs for everyone, especially Elsa. I felt like I was looking at different characters. The movie felt so disconnected from and unrelated to the first movie. The two Frozen shorts (Frozen Fever, OFA) felt like better Frozen sequels than F2 because at least they didn’t ruin the characters in those shorts
Oh no. If you guys like this movie then that's perfectly fine. I always make a point on my channel that we all have different opinions. So whenever I am taking about a movie, I am talking about MY personal opinions. If you like a movie then that's great. You can like it. :) Thanks for watching and commenting buddy!
It’s a movie called “Frozen” so there should be wintertime landscapes and aesthetics. The bright blue and white colors from Frozen 1, Frozen Fever, and Olaf’s Frozen Adventure weren’t present in F2. The autumn theme is dull and grey and ugly like you said, and it also doesn’t feel like a “Frozen” movie.
Guys you should know that the writers did more and the sequel could've been 2 hours or longer but disney cut the upportunity and made the movie way shorter that it feels like it was rushed, and thats why I'm sure about this is because they have alot of outtake songs. BTW they only have 3 years to make the movie they even confirmed they wouldn't make a sequel but they rewatched the first movie and they realized they forgot something to tell in the movie, so they started doing the movie, they only had 3 years at least appreciate it.
Yes! I’m so happy to find a review like this! I genuinely don’t understand how so many people liked this sequel, it doesn’t make any sense, it’s boring, and it’s dull to look at. I couldn’t even sit through it more than once. Ten years from now I feel people will forget about frozen 2.
Awesome video man, I love your content. You are so underrated man! You need more subs! I love how professional your editing skills are when it comes to the music, background and etc. Keep it up man
Sucks he is being told off by people who liked frozen 2. I will say I agree with this video. It just ended up being very predictable. I know its meant for kids, but still. Also I feel it would have been great if Ana had powers woken up at some point. It would make sense because it has never been shown where else got her powers so it could make sense that ana had powers as well
@@israelruiz8706 The reason they didn't show it outside getting her spouse because they already said that the spirits gave her the powers as a gift from her mother saving her mother and his video was completely bulshit because it was completely one-sided not even fair and made the movie how to be complete trash and the disrespectful is why people are going at him
@@captainsimp8864 her mother saving her mother? Eric did sound one sided, but most of his points are valid. It's just differences in opinion. I thought this movie had to much comedy and some scenes were pointless. Like olaf dying. We all knew he would get revived
Only thing I loved about Frozen 2 is Elsa's glam look... Guess the whole movie was made to showcase her glam look so that they could sell lot of her toys..
Eric Carter can I say I enjoyed Frozen and Frozen 2, and I find Frozen and Frozen 2 were awesome but your ratings for Frozen 2 should a bit higher than that for me I will give Frozen a 10/10 and Frozen 2 10000/10 and I like the 9 songs for Frozen, Frozen Heart, Do You Want Build A Snowman, For The First Tim In Forever, Love Is An Open Door, Let It Go, Reindeers Are Better Than People, In Summer, For The First Time In Forever Reprise and Fixer Upper, Frozen 2 has 7 new songs, All Is Found, Some Things Never Change, Into The Unknown, When I Am Older, Reindeers Are Better Than People (Continue Song ), Lost In The Woods, Show Yourself and The Next Right Thing. Frozen 2 story plot it was epic and the story plot of Frozen 2 that's how Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck are telling the movie fans that Elsa, Anna, Kristoff, Olaf and Sven are all growing up and the point of Frozen 2 that you missed was all about self love Eric Carter and mark my words Frozen 2 is going to win the Golden Globe Awards next year and it's been nominee for the Best Motion Picture - Award and nominee for the Best Original Song - Motion Picture Award and soon Frozen 2 will win the Golden Globe Award next year then it will go to the Oscar Awards next year then Frozen 2 will win Oscar Awards then Jennifer Lee, Chris Buck and Peter Del Vecho need to tell Disney if they want to make Frozen 3 in the future!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Me personally I like Frozen two more than the first one and I definitely think that the unknown was better than Let It Go and no offense but it just seems like you don't even try to make it a fair comparison like you don't even really care about Frozen 2 you just want to make it seem bad compared to the first movie and also you sound stupid thing the movie didn't age up to the previous viewers but it did it was a lot darker near the ending was darker than the first movie and even at the beginning of the movie could tell it was older and it did age of quite a bit from the first movie not a lot but it did age up usually I agree with your moving versus but I completely disagree with this one
Umm, excuse me? Everyone is just ignoring the fact that frozen fever and Olaf’s frozen adventure is still out there, and so what? Even if they r not as long and not that interesting our frozen creators still put hard work and effort into it. In that note, here is what’s happening. Frozen (2013) Frozen fever (2015) Olaf’s frozen adventure (2017) Frozen II (2019) Okay, so now you no that every two years so far has a frozen movie released. Also I think that Olaf’s frozen adventure is actually my favourite. Next time I hope that you can be more positive and stop looking at the black dot. That’s all from me today.
i disagree with the whole exploring the glacier would have worked better without the song point, i think that scene worked BECAUSE of the song. the instrumental is fantastic and gives a sense of awe when she reaches the room with all the clips of the past, and i don't think normal spoken lines could have portrayed elsa finding herself better than the song did. if the song wasn't there i definitely would not have cried the first time i saw this movie and i don't really cry that often so they got me there.
Eric Carter, Happy New Year! Where is your “Let’s Binge Watch” Of “A Series Of Unfortunate Events Season 3”.? It’s been a year since the third season got released.
Happy New Year to you too buddy! I know. It's been a year, and I still haven't seen the whole Season. I will try to catch up to it eventually. Right now I'm working on some other videos.
I love animated movies especially Disney and pixar but these were never really my type of movies. I did not even bother to see the second one but love watching your videos either way.
Wan Yun Thean because the only thing they worked hard on was the animation and he acknowledges the good animation. Really think about it, was there any conflict, tension, character building, or even decent plot?
If you don't really like the second movie then watch it in a other language.... And you will hate it. I live in Germany and as the first movie came out I was so angry because the hole song text in 'let it go' was so flat! No 'conceal don't feel' nothing like that! It's youst frustrating how the hole plot was youst not properly translated! And after I watch the second movie I didn't liked 'In to the unknown'! It was so bad! The hole text and timing. In German the song is called 'Da wo noch niemand war' wich means not in to the unknown! It means where nobody was before! And this is not the same! It's completely flat and has no deep meaning. Only after watchting 'In to the unknown' in English I liked the song.... Sad.
True but they don’t have to be this bad. I love Frozen 1. I was excited for F2. I never expected it to be better than F1 but I still thought it would be nice to see the characters again on screen. But ever since I saw the first trailer for F2, I felt like I was looking at different characters the whole time. I didn’t think F2 would end up being as bad as it did. It doesn’t even feel anything like Frozen. Put both movies side by side and they look and feel completely different and unrelated altogether
If there’s ever gonna be a Frozen 3, I wish Disney would introduce a new male character who has fire magic, And yes that male character and Elsa stared out as two people getting to know each other and later on fell in love. I’ll come up with the story on idea wiki after I watch Frozen 2 on blu ray.
Honestly speaking, Frozen 2 deserves much more praise. I respect your opinion but still the way you phrase your words out it makes it seem like you had a fixed mindset that the movie would be bad. Frozen 2 is much more darker than the original and it KNOWS how to be dark. You gave examples of with Toy Story in terms of being dark but their darkness mostly comes from a physical perspective. Frozen 2 was much darker emotionally with Elsa blaming herself for her parents' death and going back to protecting Anna which meant going to Ahtoholland alone. Anna constantly staying by her sister's side and being with her. ALL the songs in Frozen 2 suited the various plots they had. All is Found formed the basis of the story, Some Things Never Change showed the characters enjoying life unaware of what would happen later on but still showing Elsa struggle. Into the Unknown was Elsa's readiness to not fear her destiny and calling, When I'm Older was a nonsensical song but even Frozen had one. Lost in the Woods was the perfect love ballad[ just like Fixer Upper] . Show Yourself was a powerful song that showed Elsa's victory after finding herself and The Next Right Thing was just a nice affirmation of conquering something depressing. All the songs had a major role, it IS a musical after all. The movie was actually catered for those who watched Frozen before cause of these themes like growing up, depression, care for nature, taking up responsibility, death, political wars e.t.c. I don't know why you don't see it. Plus you didn't really expect Frozen 2 to be like Frozen. This is 2019! Kids are interested in action and cool water horses and Frozen didn't have much action to offer. Plus Elsa and Anna are more developed here, Elsa didn't have much of a character i Frozen. She was just an older sister afraid of herself and hurting others. In Frozen 2, we see her grow and ready to find out the truth and suppress her powers no matter what it takes. Even in 2019 where everything is PG, Toy story 4 still somehow managed to be G.

The reason it got a pg rating was because Anna said to kristoff I prefer you in leather anyway

It was mentioned Elsa put a permafrost on him which I'm assuming doesn't cause him to melt.
There’s an outtake song called unmeltable me which might help explain it
bigbangbot In his first scene, Anna mentions his new permafrost, granting him ability to survive in heat.
I guess that’s better than nothing but it would have been nice if they actually showed this permafrost spell occur. Seems kinda lazy to me.

True
i didnt like anna as much in 2
@@beeble7636 yeah, Anna felt more passive in this story.

@@jacindaellison3363 completely agree
Fun fact: during the production, the creators literally had no idea what the echo should’ve been
Not sure how they concluded on what it should be
Great video, Eric.

None of the songs are pointless. It’s called a musical for a reason.
Oh yes!

I agree
Your comment is so underrated. I agree with you, thank you for that.

They focused on making another Let It Go so much that they forgot to make another movie as good and memorable as the first Frozen.

Exactly, we all know that 99.9% of sequels are only made because the original made the company a lot of money, and they just want to cash in on that success!💷
Please, a lot of people know the first movie had all that success because of one song, precisely "let it go".
Frozen 1 was both Anna’s and Elsa’s movie.
F2 was just straight garbage. It ruined all the characters, especially Elsa
I change my mind i love this movie the story amazing and the battle between elsa and Nokk it was Spectacular I give this movie 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I agree with some of the little issues, but I don’t like how you make it feel like people can’t like this movie because some people like this movie.
Oh no. If you guys like this movie then that's perfectly fine. I always make a point on my channel that we all have different opinions. So whenever I am taking about a movie, I am talking about MY personal opinions. If you like a movie then that's great. You can like it. :)
Thanks for watching and commenting buddy!
The reason it wasn’t as saturated is because it’s not summer it’s autumn everything is dull and grey.
And also it helped create a darker atmosphere for the darker story
I feel like most people have already forgotten about Frozen 2.
@@EricCarter12 😂for real, meanwhile the first frozen will probably always be a classic
It would make sense because it has never been shown where else got her powers so it could make sense that ana had powers as well
@@israelruiz8706
The reason they didn't show it outside getting her spouse because they already said that the spirits gave her the powers as a gift from her mother saving her mother and his video was completely bulshit because it was completely one-sided not even fair and made the movie how to be complete trash and the disrespectful is why people are going at him
@@captainsimp8864 her mother saving her mother? Eric did sound one sided, but most of his points are valid. It's just differences in opinion. I thought this movie had to much comedy and some scenes were pointless. Like olaf dying. We all knew he would get revived
Only thing I loved about Frozen 2 is Elsa's glam look... Guess the whole movie was made to showcase her glam look so that they could sell lot of her toys..
The first movie was made to showcase her glam as an excuse to sell billions of toys of her as well.
@@1992disney at least she was better developed in the first movie.
As always, great job again! You are, by far, the best movie critic I’ve ever seen.
Thanks so much for the kind words. 😊 That really means a lot. Even as I am writing this reply, you have put a HUGE smile on my face.
I just tell it like it is…

I really like that from my viewers. ☺️
12:02 You made a mistake by saying “the comedy in Frozen II is great”.

Ralph 2 is better
@@PussInBootsTheLastWishFan2003 really nigga
Frozen (2013)
Frozen fever (2015)
Olaf’s frozen adventure (2017)
Frozen II (2019)
Okay, so now you no that every two years so far has a frozen movie released. Also I think that Olaf’s frozen adventure is actually my favourite. Next time I hope that you can be more positive and stop looking at the black dot. That’s all from me today.
8:54 how is it I thought the exact same thing?!?!
i disagree with the whole exploring the glacier would have worked better without the song point, i think that scene worked BECAUSE of the song. the instrumental is fantastic and gives a sense of awe when she reaches the room with all the clips of the past, and i don't think normal spoken lines could have portrayed elsa finding herself better than the song did. if the song wasn't there i definitely would not have cried the first time i saw this movie and i don't really cry that often so they got me there.
It’s not true Elsa and Anna are just getting older and different
I love animated movies especially Disney and pixar but these were never really my type of movies. I did not even bother to see the second one but love watching your videos either way.
Yeah. I didn’t see the second movie.
I was watching a video of yours from 5 years ago and... damn your voice changed.
I know. :) Which video from 5 years ago did you see?
@@EricCarter12 Spiderman edge of time review.
Cool. I remember that review. That was the first BIG review that I made. It took me a whole MONTH to make.

🤣🤣🤣🤣
COULD YOU BE NOT COMPLIANT HOW IT WAS LIKE PEOPLE WORK SO HARD ON IT AND YOU JUST COMPLIANT IT ARGG
Sad.
your videos are such quality! I am always surprised that you don't have way more subs.
Holy crap, I'm early
Nice video Eric :)
Thanks buddy. :)
Honestly, i expected this. Its very rare that the sequel is better than the original
I cried watching the climax of Frozen 1. At the end of Frozen 2, I thought not terrible but not great...too many songs
If there’s ever gonna be a Frozen 3, I wish Disney would introduce a new male character who has fire magic, And yes that male character and Elsa stared out as two people getting to know each other and later on fell in love. I’ll come up with the story on idea wiki after I watch Frozen 2 on blu ray.
firedrake burst I love that idea. Way better than that Elsa being lesbian bs
maybe the jokes are more dull because they got older lmao
When I see the thumb nail oh yes
First few minutes
That song is dead it shall never come back
Great video👍 and i agree that in Frozen 2 the songs feel out of place and i like Into the unknown and Show yourself.
I liked both is all I can really say but I have to agree with your score on the first movie
That's why she drowns in Ahtoholland in the first place. I could go on and on as to why your score seemed unfair to me but.... Frozen 2 deserved better. You may be right about the convoluted plot and how they didn't do Kristoff right but you need to cut the movie some slack.
I agree with almost everything you said
Really nigga
Don't listen to these annoying frozen 2 fanbabies they can't handle criticism and they'll attack anybody who hates it and for liking frozen 1 more than this disgrace to humanity
Do you think you could do The Lego movie vs The Lego Movie 2: The second part?
Tbh i was 4 when the first frozen came out. I do agree with you.completly.
Why do you agree with him
Hs is a jerk
It was a letdown and a sad way to end the revival era while the original frozen will be timeless classic of their Disney movies frozen 2 is just like those crappy straight to video sequels but with a huge budget but still crappy and sadly forgettable let’s hope They’ll do better with rayna next time
