They were the perfect screen couple. Now, Voyager is my favorite besides All About Eve and if it had been made in a year other than Mrs. Miniver, she would've won.
This is amusing because Bette Davis clearly stated she was a real Yankee from "Yankeeland" and just wasn't very demonstrative. She said on the 1971 Dick Cavett interview that she didn't use first names for awhile and didn't kiss people she didn't know. That probably includes people she even knows really. But this is fun because it brings up so many of her films. I coordinated this with her filmography on wiki and read about them as they were brought up. Great career!
@MadeLine278 This entire episode points up Bette's embarassment at the accolades being showered upon her (often in Ralph Richardson's trademark hyperbolic style), and the public displays of affection she's forced to go through. She was, in real life, a staunch Yankee with very reserved ideas on proper public conduct and propriety. She adored and admired people like Wyler, Henreid and de Havilland, but she certainly wasn't going to bust out crying and get sloppy or even be very demonstrative.
and here he is bette the mail room boy from your first motion pitcher harry burgermister at which point Bette thinks - [ give me another cigarette before I blow my brains out]
Wow awkward hug with her and Olivia. Bette's hands are just hanging to her side during the hug. Love how Olivia is mad that she wasn't Errol's leading lady in Elizabeth and Essex.
You can tell how much Bette and Olivia loved each other❤
Now Voyager is a MASTERPIECE! Its hard for me to pick a favorite movie of Bette Davis. She was a larger than life STAR!
Olivia's hair can be seen from outer space it's so huge.
I think it's great I Love it
Am I the only one who thinks the part with Paul Henreid is pure nostalgic bliss??? Love it.
I find her so funny just sitting there puffing on her cigarette, she was such a Queen,LOL. :)
Bettie davis will always be a great icon of film...
Aww! Bette is... BETTE! ♥ What a great actress! What a great woman! *-* Olivia is so sweet. Thanks for these videos. ;)
lol I love Olivia! She just seems like someone who when she loved you, she loved you to death! I never seen someone so excited to see someone lol
OMG that part with Paul Henreid is just amazing. I love that movie. :)
I just love how Bette hugs Livvie back!!! - lol
the lookon bette's face when she recognizes olivia's voice- like, "oy, she's here?"
Awww I loved the movies, Bette and Olivia did together, my favourite was In This Our Life. ;)
omg @ Olivia De Havilliand's hair!!!!! love these videos
Her laugh at 8:17 and 8:28 is a real treat!
@AdArmand - Even when Olivia's voice can be heard, Bette has a look on her face that says, "Oh crap...what's she doing here"
Olivia de Havilland is 100, still living in Paris and still looks good! Bless her!
Jimmy Meeks Now 103!!!
Olivia is STILL alive. I think she's the only one from this show who is still alive today.
Joe Schmoe 100 and still doing great. Love her too.
I WILL say that it's quite cold of Bette not to hug Livvie back: what a cheek.
Kirk Barkley That was amazing. Doesn’t seem she felt the same way...
Ooooh, Bette. I feel weird. I didn't know her at all and now I miss her.
They were the perfect screen couple. Now, Voyager is my favorite besides All About Eve and if it had been made in a year other than Mrs. Miniver, she would've won.
Thanks to the person who downloaded 3 of Bette Davis
Ed
Legendary
lol oh, nostalgia at its best
you can tell the people she truly likes......lol
Bette Davis - The First Lady of FIERCE!
Erin Palmer Would have loved to see Joan Crawford as well as Victor B. From Baby Jane..

Todd Brandt Really obvious she felt annoyed.
She looks pretty underwhelmed with most of the guests!
rssmdb1 she doesn't remember them and hated her first movie. She was kind to them.
I think she was so pissed she got dragged away from her film meeting with Edith Head!
@AdArmand she looks around, then says "shit I'll smoke". haha
@k8nairne --- loves it.
and here he is bette the mail room boy from your first motion pitcher harry burgermister at which point Bette thinks - [ give me another cigarette before I blow my brains out]
Olivia was darling and so warm. Bette not so much.
They could have play the Now Voyager theme when they re create the cigarette scene and no the music they played !!!!,
Wow awkward hug with her and Olivia. Bette's hands are just hanging to her side during the hug. Love how Olivia is mad that she wasn't Errol's leading lady in Elizabeth and Essex.
Bette is not underwhelmed, she is just a yankee!
This show seems so awkward
this show seems dreadful and she doesnt seem to be really enjoying it. its like a funeral almost lol. and that elevator music.
Neutrino Baterato she said it reminded her of a funeral!
I know she was bored by the 5:00 mark. When She saw Robert Wagner Again...I hope she knocked his lights out for Being Punk'd.
Turn the AC off, Ms. De Havilliand is obviously cold.....
Rashawn Wat she did that to show she'd "been put out in the cold" with Bette having her leading man and she playing supporting. Just a little joke.
I love Bette, but she is rather rude not hugging her friends back!
Maybe she never learned how💔
BOY DOES EVERYONE HERE LOOK O L D!!
Lizzy Allan Hey! Age is just a number!
The audience looks like they're of the Geritol Generation.
