  • This Is Your Life, Buster Keaton - Part One
This was a live show, which is why you see funny things like someone walking on their hands and knees behind Ralph Edwards or Donald O'Connor falling off his stool, all captured by the live cameras.
I noticed this wasn't on RUclips so I added it. I'm sorry for the "bloop" noise in the background, there was no way to effectively remove it without compromising regular audio quality, or what is left of it.

I noticed that same thing -- he moves his head the same way and nods just like he did in his films! What a darling man he was.

I love Buster ... I think he is far funnier than Chaplin ... great videos of him going across Canada on a railway scooter ...

"Railrodder " was the title and Buster ad libbed the whole thing coast to coast.
      On Buster's 4th birthday, he
Had to have his fingertip amputated to free him from the rollers of his mother's clothes mangler ....,
Fell off the front steps and had to get his head wound stitched up.....l
Got sucked out the window by a building tornado, plucked from the air by his ankle, and carried home by a neighbor !
      Buster was absolutely fearless

Keaton's sister looks a real character too. Love the way he immediately 'strangles' her when she comes on for keeping him in the dark about the show. An echo, maybe, of how they were as kids.

"Buster, for younger generations who didn't seen your films..." so not true. 2013 and I'm Buster's biggest fan :)

Such a great guy, so glad I discovered him a few years back when I was around 29 and I watched Sunset Boulevard for the first time. Been a fan ever since! Check out his appearance on The Twilight Zone!

Buster was such a good sport.. You can visibly see how uncomfortable he is. Ralph Edwards is a jerk for rehashing the most painful periods of Buster's life.

@TheBethoc: You're absolutely right- he was a good, gentle, kind man through and through. Along with Audrey Hepburn, he had to be one of the best people who were ever in Hollywood.

Poor Buster! Ralph Edwards humiliates him mentioning his drinking, his period of not making films etc.

Is this the same idiot who tried to humiliate Oliver Hardy in another episode. What a tool. Hardy had the dignity not to hit this idiot in the head....
