    Those baskets he's making are amazing! In the hoop every time. I bet it was fun for him to do a live show, with an audience; must've brought him back to his vaudeville days.

      I bet there was someone who caught the ball he throw and who then threw another one :D

      @@turbofantasy6731 I think that is part of the joke. But what happened when he was lying on the floor? The laughter was the type you hear when something unintentionally funny has happened. Did the ball hit the off-camera stage hand in the face or something?

      @@postscript67 if you watch, you can see he actually makes that one. I think they were all real, and that's why he missed twice on the last one. I wouldn't put it past him. He was known for doing things for real.

    Buster would have been 55 years old when this show aired. A highly trained acrobat/stuntman who was quite agile and knew how to make us laugh.. Buster's basketball shots were amazing.

    Dates would be nice for these things. Is it the 1949 show or the 1950-51?

    • @rodlara12
      @rodlara12 3 года назад +1

      The TV ad host mentioned that the car is from 1950, so I'm guessing that's the year which makes buster 55 years old.

    • @eggbun8
      @eggbun8 3 года назад +8

      This was taped in front of a live audience, which means that it must be the one surviving episode of the version of his show that aired in the fall of 1949 (since the one in 1950 was done to film without an audience, a format he disliked.) It's true that the car in the ad is identified as being from 1950, but it wouldn't be unusual to advertise the hot new Studebaker model as being from the coming year.
