It was made for Mrs.Davis and Mrs.Joan Crawford after their success with "Whatever Happen To Baby Jane" but Mrs. Crawford changed her mind so Mrs.Davis called her good friend Mrs. De Havilland for the part. Nothing better than these great years of the 1930'-40'-50'-60'-70-'80'-1985'.

Davis was to appear on Wagner's popular television show "It Takes a Thief," and he told her that some publicity stills needed to be made. Bette was not fond of surprises and she soon confronted her friend "RJ" asking, "Why the Fu*K did you DO THAT?!" I guess when all was said and done Bette (after calming down) appreciated being honored for a long and successful Hollywood career which would continue for close to another twenty years. She and Wagner remained friends in any event.
