Build quality/QC is noticeably better on my wired DAV3 unit than on my wireless one though it’s not quite perfect since the left click feels more shallow/provides less feedback than the right one. Perhaps given it released later they were able to correct some of the QC issues that seem to have plagued the wireless version. I do have a strong preference for the chalky/matte shell on the wireless white DA V3 however. I’m just not a fan of the perfectly smooth plastic with a “sticky” coating myself. It feels kind cheap imo/less premium to me than something like the Superlight with its rubberized soft touch shell/coating or the white wireless DA V3 Pro shell/coating but it seems other people disagree with me there so to each their own and all that.
I would really love the DA V3 finger ledge except I don’t think it extends far enough. If you’re someone who holds the mouse dead straight on and your ring finger sits far enough forward to touch that hard edge it does not feel good at all imo. The ledge either needed to extend farther on the right side of the mouse or they should’ve just rounded the corners how they do on the EC2 and Outset seems to me.
The EC2 when your finger sits on the rounded corner it can feel a bit odd but not bad. Outset actually has my favorite feeling when the ring finger happens to sit on the rounded edge. Hopefully we get a wireless version someday so we can be rid of its horrendous stick like cable. My only real gripes with the Outset shape is that I wish the front portion (where the clicks are) extended a bit further since I don’t like the feeling of my fingers coming off the end and the profile sits slightly higher than I’d subjectively prefer. I say this every single video but what I’d give for an EC1.5 (EC2L, you could call it whatever) since I love Zowie’s EC mice but the 2 is slightly too small and the 1 is a bit too large for me. Ah well.
EDIT: Apologies for my finger creeping into the frame for this one, that’s my bad. Have a good one guys,

Nice video! Do you know if the problem with the scroll weel jumping alone sometimes in the wireless version is fixed with the wired one? I could not find this information anywhere

Thanks a lot. Regrettably I don’t know if that’s been fixed. The wheel in my wired unit is very slightly more tactile in the steps than the wireless one however which I’d say is an improvement imo. Might just be unit to unit variance though.

Im thinking about getting an outset ax but im not too sure, I use pincer claw and some palm contact because i like resting on the mouse 17.5x9.5cm. Ive had the deathadder v2 but I had felt there wasn't enough room for resting both pinky and ring on the side as it flares out and back hump was a bit too large for me. Another caveat is that the thumb buttons is too forward. The main concern is if 9.5 width is enough, as ive heard a lot of people say it feels like a large mouse

For claw grip the Outset is extremely comfortable for me, but I have larger hands close to 19.5 x 10.7 cm. I know what you mean for the DA V2, it's not that I can't claw it but it's not the optimal mouse for that grip type (unless you have very large hands at least) seems to me. I also completely agree with you on the side buttons being positioned too far forward, been a thorn in my side for a long time lol.
Outset definitely does feel like a large mouse especially if you palm/relaxed fingertip it. For larger hands I think it's a dream for claw, but if your hands are a bit smaller than mine the EC2-C or maybe the NP-01 could be a good option. I don't own an NP-01 but I've heard great things. In my experience the EC2-C is just a very safe shape.

question, does only the knucle palm touch the dav3 or lower palm as well? I have 19x10 skinny hands and i find the mouse small
also i had the v3pro and did not like the coating its too slippery when i sweat a little, is this coating on the wired one better? what does it feel like? thanks

Lower palm doesn't touch in my case/how I hold the DA V3. You "can" hold it like that but I don't find it especially comfortable to make lower palm contact myself.

finally! thank you so much, so basically knucle part touches, like i use to grip, if i claw the back palm touches a little but the mouse becomes short@@BlindBison

    Awesome comparison!
Unfortunately, I've had similar experiences with the build quality on both the wired and wireless Deathadder V3.
One unit had a really heavy right click and the other one had sideflex, which is kind of disappointing given the $150 price tag.
Even my wired one without quality control issues felt rather cheap in comparison to my Zowie and Vaxee mice, but that may only be a placebo because of the lower weight.
I'm currently looking for a mouse with a smaller shape than the Deathadder, I'm thinking of the Outset AX, EC2-C or EC3-C but I'm not quite sure which, any personal recommendations?
Keep up the good work! :)

Have you tried superlight? Its still decent in 2023 imo.

Yea, I've had one for 2 years and I love it, it's definitely a good lightweight option that still feels premium quality wise.
I've just been getting a little bored of the shape and wanna try some more ergo shapes

@@xanny57 I tried bunch of mices, but for me even the shape is not perfect for my large hands its simply the best mouse, wireless technology is great only on logitech and razer mices, others not as good as those two, ec shape is good, razer and logitech mouses have lower latency on clicks and sensor wireless than those mices wired, but if the shape makes miracle for you aim, you can try them, personally I would go for EC2-C after superlight.

@@AroXX Yea, I have to 100% agree with you. The whole "shape is king" saying isn't exactly true since you can adapt well enough to anything, and what's far more important is that the overall feeling and features of a mouse live up to your expectations.
And thanks for the recommendation, I'll look more into the EC Series :)

Thanks! EC2-C and Vaxee Outset AX are both excellent mice imo. The Outset I would really like the see a refresh of since I’m not a fan of their wheel/middle click/cable (though I’ve heard the cable is better on more recent Outset units). But it’s not a deal breaker for me by any means and I think it’s a fantastic ergo if you like a higher profile than the EC2 that fills your hand.
In my experience both of those mice have great build quality and are some of my favorites. Though I’d give the slight edge to the Outset in terms of build quality since it has almost a pseudo unibody type shell where the connecting lines are very subtle while on the EC2 they are more prominent. I also have had one single QC issue with an EC2-C where the connecting shell lines towards the back of the mouse seemed a bit “loose” and like they weren’t glued or connected quite right. But I only saw that on one unit.
Also you are right about the DA V3’s QC even the wired it seems. I have noticed after making this video that, yes, even on my wired unit the left click doesn’t feel quite right. It’s shallow/provides little feedback compared to the right one which is perfect. I have also had different issues on each unit so Razer needs to sort that out.
