Had wired 502 years now and finally upgraded to 502 X plus. Can't find anything wrong with it. Most responsive mouse I ever used. For that I would say this "review" is sponsored by some other mouse manufacturer. There is no reason not to buy this mouse.
Never understand why people seem to care about the weight of a mouse, it doesn't really matter how heavy it is you get used to it over time. I've always liked heavier mouses more but I guess that's just me
it really is just a matter of preference, after using the g502 and some other mice i really liked the weight of it without all the weights and it felt super nice to use. even with all the weights my brain filled the gaps and i got used to it, still preferred it without them though. as long as it doesn’t feel like a rock, weight doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things as long as you’re comfortable with it and it feels good to use.
Same, in fact I bought the new 502X as my original 502 showed big signs of wear after I bought it almost day 1 it was available and I could not get over how much the weight changed compared to what I am used to and really liked as the weight. And as the new one has a pretty cheap and thin cable that is not sleeved as the old one every time the cable touched my table or something I could really feel it (Yeah bad cable management on my part, but it was never a problem before.) long story short, bought the lightspeed version, weight is more comparable to the old one and no cheap annoying cable :D Hopefully it will last me the next 8 or so years like the old one.
its physics, less weight requires less force to move, meaning you need less force to aim and you can play for longer without fatigue. Heavy mice are just a left over of an era when weight somehow meant quality for dumb consumers.
@@camilo3626 It's not like they weigh a tonne or something, after a few days you would get used to the weight of it and it doesn't effect fatigue or gameplay after that. While I understand everyone is different and that's perfectly fine
"Dont buy this" proceeds to point out tons of things i like in a mouse. You just made me more sure about the purchase, which i really appreciate! Really like your straight forward (and very honest, thankfully) style of review!
The title is borderline clickbait. He said don't buy the G502 X Plus, not the G502 X. The Plus version only adds RGB. So he did say not to buy the version with RGB at the end and he said the non RGB version was good enough to buy. So he technically wasn't wrong with the title.
Had mine for a day now, couple notables: - The DPI shift buttons are the main feature of the G502, second only to the grip style. Not for the ability to swap dpi on the fly, but for the button placement. Swap those buttons to keys that you can use in game. Ya'll not doing this are missing out, heavily. The G502 is the "best selling mouse ever made" and not the basilisk. What's the only difference? The DPI buttons. USE THEM. The larger size on the g7 also allows you to hit it with your thumb comfortably. This is great as I use it for push to mute and grenade/gadget depending on the game, and freeing up the pointer finger is useful. - The Scroll UP/DOWN is now customizable in GHUB. This is actually fairly huge. Bunny hopping and infinite scroll wheel shooting? I'm sure there are other uses. I've only made use of it in Warframe so far, but I'll be keeping an eye out for other uses. - The weight. I'm throwing this out there for the people not pretending to be "pro gamers" and actually value comfort over a .01 percent higher k/dr. The g502x is markedly lighter. To the point that is slightly uncomfortable. I have both the OG lightspeed and the X in front of me, and I'll definitely be taking up the advice of swapping the bottom weight plate. If you are in it for a lighter mouse, but want the comfort of the g502 layout, this is probably a huge plus for you. Not for me. If I didn't have the extra weight plate, I would be *weighing* (lol) the pros and cons as far as keeping the OG lightspeed around. - The RGB strip is awkward and noticeable in the palm. I don't like it. It's not a make it or break it for me, but it is unusual. - The thumb rest area feels shorter. I'm unsure if this is a pro or a con. - The lack of a gap at the front of the mouse between the left and right mb is annoying. I liked the gap. It's been a day and I've tried to click that area multiple times now when regrabbing the mouse because it sits in the same location as muscle memory puts my middle finger from the OG lightspeed. Not a huge thing, but it is weird. - It is talked about in the video, but the mouse wheel is a huge improvement. Like HUGE improvement. I have hated the g502 mouse wheel since I first picked up the OG in 2014, despite it becoming my favorite mouse for nearly a decade. This is significant, imo. The X fixed all the issues I've had with the 502, but added some others. So far I'm happy with my purchase.
I'm a casual gamer and I've used all the extra buttons on the g502 for media cotrol for years now, just pressing the sniper button to pause a video when you want to hear someone talk is such a nice qol improvement
Having used the g402 for years I don't think I can EVER use a gaming mouse long terms without those from "DPI" buttons. Always have the foremost one bound to melee and in movement heavy games like halo and apex not having to take my fingers off WASD has gotten me kills more than I can count.
I haven't used the dpi buttons ever, but I did remap them for other useful binds. My absolute favourite thing about this mouse is the hyper scroll whell. Am not buying a mouse without that feature anymore. I also never thought it was that heavy, but I probably just got used to it tbh.
I've had my G502 for 6 years and have no idea what you are talking about "sticky" rubber sides. They are worn, but perfectly contoured to my hand like a leather glove - not sticky for me at all. The heavy weight is the real problem, which the new G502x fixes (89g).
I bought mine (x plus) about 2 weeks ago, and upgraded from the 502 corded version. I like this one FAR better, and I thought the 502 was great. I like the rgb, it’s comfy, light, and highly responsive.
Funny thing is, I bought the G502 X the moment it was available and.. while the weight difference and new feet are excellent features... That "RGB strip line" is so annoying for my hand. It gnaws into the palm, making palm grip uncomfortable.
@@frickyyysasah3719 Doesn't fix the weight or feet problem, if you mean the original Lightspeed. And G502 X Lightspeed has the same issues i have with the wired X. Not sure what you're getting at here matey.
By far the best mouse that I ever had, if they upgrade and buff that mouse I might buy it. Now I'm trying the xm1r, is good but it's a little hard to get used.
After using the og 502 I couldn’t imagine using any other mouse, I love the two side buttons next to the left click, hopefully getting this x upgrade for Christmas 🙏🏼
@@ChasseurTueur I did! I’d say the biggest differences are the weight, the scroll wheel, and the texture on the bottom feet makes it feel alottt smoother I love it 🤟🏼
I have been using the foremost DPI switch on my g402 (g502x otw) for years. For basically any game that has a melee/fast melee, e.g. melee in Halo, switch to knife in CS etc. It has all been bound to that button, nothing has felt more natural for me. That and using the side "sniper" button to switch weapons.
Got the G502X Lightspeed version in black (my first ever G502) and i'm freakin loving it. The only thing that stopped me buying a G502 before was the non-removable sniper&thumb button on the side. Absolutely hated it. Now that they've pulled a razer on that thing (on Basilisk Ultimate it is removable), got it ASAP. Using a Razer Basilisk Ultimate on the side and i must say that mouse has a very unstable scrolling experience. You cannot switch weapons in games only relying on the scroll wheel steps because it is not registering scrolls until you push the wheel a little bit further in order to complete its registering... When i opened it up i saw that it's using a cheap potentiometer system rather than an Optical encoder like Logi products. And that potentiometer is wiggling back and forth as you scroll the wheel causing those scroll skips. I've managed to tuck a toothpick (yes a freakin toothpick) in the enclosure in order to prevent it to wiggle, and it improved the scroll skips to a managable degree. If anyone is interested in it i can send photos of it. Anyway, stay away from Basilisk ultimate and V2. Stick to G502X.
Wow sir, you actually opened the mouse and looked into it? Have you opened any g502 mice before? I'm more curious to know what the insides of one looks like.
@@leejohnshen6051 are you being sarcastic? i've meant disassembly... and i disassembled tons of mice before, just never a G502, this X model is my first G502. And it is perfect for now, no need to tear one up. I only disassemble mice if there is somekind of switch failure, wheel problem etc. Usually just spray some contact cleaner and let it dry. Or solder new switches and stuff.
@@buraktabakoglu No I’m not, I’ve never disassemble any mice before, mainly because of not knowing how to safely do it, and being afraid that I might damage some delicate things in them. The mess on the outside are not difficult to deal with, but I live in a tropical country and dusts gathers rather easily at where I am, I bet they have a very good chance to end up inside the mouse.

Great review. Is there anything one can do to protect the rubber coating before ever starting to use the mouse? On my old lighspeed it's worn down all the way to the plastic. I'd be happy if there was something skin-safe that could turn the rubber into a hard, resilient surface.
desk fan blowing at your hand will probably be your best bet, i have 2 g502s (wired which i gave to the wife after like 6 years when i got the lightspeed) and neither have rubber peeling
the only difference to write home about the g502 x is the new optical switches which should _FINALLY_ be resilient to the double-clicking issues that have plagued their mice for years now. i've had an optical switch keyboard for about 3 years now and it finally solved chattering compared to normal mx cherry.
If you’re coming from the G502 Lightspeed Edition you can change the bottom cover that holds the USB dongle on the G502X(+) (which is pure crap plastic compared to the rest of the mouse) with the one from the G502 Lightspeed that has the two weight slots in it (and is much better quality plastic) and you get a pretty good feeling mouse that isn’t so heavy that movement feels sluggish, but not so light to the point you feel like you could chuck the mouse off your desk.
So far, I'm loving this mouse! I've been using a POS mouse for years and this has been a pleasure to use so far, haven't run into any issues yet. I just feel like there's a lot of haters out there about this. People these days are being way too picky and complain about stupid little things. Yes, this mouse is a little pricey cause it just came out. So, if you're looking to get this but unsure, I'd say go for it.
I prefer textured plastic for side grips. Rubber after wore out feels sticky and dirty. Holes and gaps also gets dirty over time and very time consuming when cleaning. I prefer this design but I hope it gets more minimalistic with less unnecessary gaps and holes around the body.
I have G502 Lightspeed for more than 2 years and I never have issue with the rubber, The grip is nice and better than regular plastic and I never really have any issue with dirt, just don't eat with hands while you playing :D You can get some air duster and easily clean it. What is worse are those garbage switches, it starting double clicking. I hope that the new X version have better switches.
If the cord on the wired version is light enough like the ones used on ultra light mice, then I feel that would be the best edition. 89 grams is definitely noticeably lighter than 100 grams and the price difference is huge too.
I agree usually prefer a mouse that I never have to charge too. They did come up with a solution to this though with the charging mat but then you're spending hundreds more for essentially being wireless. I like nice things but you're talking $250 vs $60 just so it's wireless it's a no brainer to me.

Wire doesn't bother me at all. But problem for me that both g502 and g910 keyboard do not work ok. I might jump to the g815 linear and wired version of this.
Hi. Thank you for the video. Can you turn off dpi changing buttons during the game in order not to misclick them? Can you put another function on sniper button? Like melee/stab?
I use the rgb on my 502 ONLY to have a visual representation of my current profile, so if my profile wasn't changed while starting a game I'd instantly know and will be able to turn it on manually. Other than that I also don't care for rgb. So if I want to have that feature I'd have to go for the rgb version, because the other ones have 0 lights to indicate that.
I have had my cabled G502 Proteus Core for almost 10 years now and I bought the G502X (with cable) but damn I really didn't get used to it. It's really lighter, what kinda gave me the impression that I was holding a cheap ass mouse, and the position of the DPI led indicator just seems like a design flaw to me because in the previous you could just look at the mouse and the light was right there between your thumb and index finger, but now you have to lift the mouse and rotate it to you just to be able to see that light since it's on the scroll wheel now. At least I'm glad they still make the older model, ended up returning my G502X and buying a G502 Lightspeed
The G502 X Plus is simply a more expensive option to push the price of the G502X up while making it seem cheaper at the same time. I forgot the marketing term for this practice, but many companies sadly do this
@@maximes2613 What makes you say it's worse than the non X version? From everything I can see it just seems like an upgrade besides the removed weights.
@@daveharrenburg7670 the build quality feels cheap, the switches feels cheap and the mouse wheel is worse than the non X version, all for the same price and with no lights (I know the last one is not really an argument but at this price range u would expect it), speaking for the wired version because 160€ a mouse wtf
Too late. Bought that already. And I thought I would just be able to turn the rgb off. In part, that’s true, you can just disable lightsync. But the rgb is not completely gone. Whenever I’m away from it, the rgb turns on again, just so it ruins the battery time… There’s one more thing I don’t get either… I own an MX Anywhere 2S, which also has the “infinite scroll” (hyper fast scrolling) feature, but it works on a different software. In that one I can enable a smooth scrolling option, and that’s absent on G Hub. WHY? WHY? WHY? I mean, this is a high end mouse! Why would you have “infinite scroll” on it if you don’t pack its full potential? Other than those two problems, though, it’s a great mouse.
I use the rgb on the regular g502 to let me know if my per game profile did actually fire off. When my profile is in desktop mode I have the lights on the mouse set to red and when its running a custom profile for a game its green. Ghub is so trash and unreliable this became necessary to tell what profile the mouse is running. So rgb for looks is unnecessary but at least with my standard g502 and other peripherals like my keyboard rgb does a great job of communicating what color coded profile is running. So rgb can be practical. When it comes to my peripherals I couldn't live without it.
@@SergiuLungu I checked out the Logitech website, it says “Tilt left and right for two additional, fully programmable controls.” For the 502 x, but the regular 502 light speed has that. Weird
i am on heavy mouse + high dpi team, i don't like getting carpet burn from franticly flailing feather light mouses on nylon mousepad. its genuinely concerns me the way Logitech going forward. Also their Keyboards more focused on aesthetic over utility which is big no for me, must have num lock, big enter/tab/caps key more is better.
Coming off a wired G502 Hero that’s a several year old tank, I purchased a wireless G502 X without the RGB. Love the hero, so I’m sure I’ll love this too. All of these mouse videos I’ve watched featuring lightweight mice, with two side buttons seem to be geared for the competitive shooter market. I tried that route, but I vastly prefer being able to load plenty of in game actions to my mouse.
How are you finding it a month later? I've got a wired G502 Hero and it's on its way out, thinking of getting a G502X, not sure if I'll go wired or wireless yet
the g502 was an amazing mouse. you could remap those keys to other buttons like numpad controls on caming profiles and change profiles for like editing or stuff. those dpi buttons are useless so i remapped them everywhere and now i use then all the time. feeling like the 502 x is just a refined version. also can't live with a mouse again now with less buttons hahaha
Weight doesn't matter in the long run. Building muscle memory is what's important. What I've experienced is that heavy mice allow for better micro adjustments while gaming. I am a global elite faceit 10 at CSGO and i own both this and a super light. With a g502 i have more buttons at my disposals which give me more effective control management, an advantage over light mouse gamers as it saves time, AND stability
I have large but above all thick hands due to work, this mouse is well made, I'm still using it, small and non-ergonomic (i.e. straight) mice led to absurd cramps on the back of my hand and my muscles and nerves were always tense during sessions gameplay longer than 2 hours. This mouse has many features. I mainly use it with the default desktop and play everything from CS to Rust to history games. If you want, you can tinker around and do more imaginative things but I don't currently need it. before this I had a logitech legendary MX518 which was very good and beautiful too but the wire was a bit fragile and the pins were small, they wore out quickly. I decided to get the Pro in the ether. It's absolutely not true that from a sticky sense or something else I usually wash my hands before touching the mouse and keyboard and eat at the table in the kitchen. If I really have to eat something, e.g. snacks, chips, sandwiches, ice cream or something else... while I'm watching a film, I avoid getting everything smeared with greasy and sticky hands by touching the mouse, keyboard, headphones and mat by simply going to wash them thoroughly with soap. I recommend the mouse, then you decide... last but not least, the sensor chip (not to be underestimated) is very good among other things. don't listen to this guy who makes the video, he doesn't understand anything.
Hey, Ive seen many videos on this mouse and Razer Basilisk V3 and its pro version. One thing I have to ask, is there a difference between V3 and V3 pro other than wireless? Please reply as I'm thinking to get the wired one because I don't have 150 dollars for a mouse.
As I have owned three of these mouses now due to warranty replacements I have found that the main problem is the magnetic sniper button falling off every time I bang the mouse or drop it and ended up losing the button permanently one day when it bows on the floor and I didn’t see where it bounced to. Luckily they used one of the old mouses buttons to replace it. I don’t see the need to have a magnetic button honestly it’s just non-functional Gadget to hype up sales
so how good (reliable/durable) are the switches compared to the old g502? the switches on my current g502 crapped out after about a year, as did most mice i had in the past, mostly double clicking and the like. if these are better I would be willing to buy it. dont care about the wireless versions so moneywise its not much. anyone?
So my issue with this mouse is unwanted inputs from the scroll wheel. Playing apex I have my forward movement and jump bound to the scroll wheel for wall jumps and tap strife which is great for the free spin wheel but it get annoying when I go to lift up my mouse to reset center the mouse wheel is so sensitive that it causes me to jump at unwanted times and gets me kill more times than not. Is there a way to decrease the sensitivity or stop this without having the wheel locked. Any input from anyone would be helpful.
So many people who review this mouse and compare it to the G502 forget that The G502 X has a scroll wheel that you can program scroll up and down giving you 2 extra programmable buttons compared to the original one. That's right you cant program scroll up and down on the original G502. The other addition is that it has USB-C now as well.
I’ve had mine for a while now, main complain is the scroll wheel, dpi buttons. The free scroll wheel is something I don’t enjoy purely because I do play shooters, can’t be y-y 360 no scoping everybody ya know? I also find myself accidentally changing dpi and I have yet to change it in the profile (postal employee, sorry sometimes just wanna game) so I know it’s more of my fault than the mouse, but unlucky I have to change it. Overall though, I do enjoy the mouse, I wish I would have invested in the death adder v3 purely because I loved the v2 so much. But the mouse after I disable the scroll wheel, the mouse feels great in my hand as I have larger hands than most, the clocks feel great for my bigger palm grip, because I push towards the end of the buttons, the battery lasts me hours and I charge maybe weekly. I did have a lot of customization to it as we, so it does feel very Personal when you make a profile. It does have add-able weights to make heavier but although I find it fine. Overall I would say 7-10. Overall great feel besides scroll wheel, and goddamn was it expensive lol
I’ve been using Corsair mice all my pc life, i recently jumped to the Logitech g502 x plus and it’s a night and day difference, I don’t know about other Logitech mice but this mouse mops the floor with all the Corsair mice I’ve had and used. My personal favorite out of all the Corsair mice was the dark core pro rgb cause of the heft and reliability. But this mouse, just wow, guess I’m using Logitech mice from now on, idk about keyboards yet tho lol
The hybrid switches really make a difference in feel, plus Corsair's behind in terms of shape and comfort design. Corsair's keyboards are clearly ahead of Logitech for me, though.
@@YouOnlyLiveOnce... I wish I never threw out my g9x, because no other mouse has compared to it, and you can get third party replacement parts for them now, I just can't justify spending $300+ on a 15+ year old mouse.
Thanks for the review! I've got this one with the g915 on black friday for a dime and as a casual gaming gardener, the weight is completely unnoticeable for me. My skills wouldn't be any less clumsy with a full fletched gaming mouse. Where did you get the triangular mousepad btw.?!?! I love it!
@@rubysamurai306 Well... First of all the good. It's a lot lighter, a little smaller, and it looks super clean. The improved skates are a huge improvement for glide and movement. As I came from wired g502 to wireless usb c it's a nice change. The scroll wheel feels a lot less clunky. I'll repeat the skates are a HUGE improvement. The bad is The optical switches are a bit pingy/twangy and metal spring sounding. I would also say it doesn't fit in my hand as well as the g502 hero my pinky kind of hangs. But not sure if that is something that I'll get used to or not. Things to note. The side buttons are a bit different. (from back to front) The mouse4 button feels the same. The mouse5 is thinner which is kind of like a g604 side button. The sniper button feels a lot better on the tip of the thumb also. The top buttons feel a bit thinner as well but are a nice change. For reference, I do editing and play world of warcraft with lots of buttons bound onto my mouse.

i tried getting into light weight mice but i can’t do it. i don’t play shooters like that anymore too so i said to myself it’s to wrap it up and go back to what im comfortable with. i also really don’t like is any honey comb pattern mice too. i don’t like having holes on my mice. it gives me a heart attack when i have any kind of liquid near them. oh well. i’ll be sticking to this mouse for awhile.
I was gifted this from my wife... and honestly i hate it. This is a mouse made for palm grip, if you are claw or finger grip just dont even bother. Why i hate it though is how hard the click buttons are. Im not looking to destroy my hand for a slightly faster response mouse. Id pick a 10$ mouse with soft clicks over this every single day of the year. Needless to say i returned it in the nicest way possible. Edit: On a palm grip the clicks arent that hard. You are clearly meant to cup the whole mouse in your hand and click the buttons at the very tip, which is the opposite to how i hold a mouse.
I've owned the Logitech G402 since 2019 and absolutely love it, especially for its extra button. However, the double-click issue has become a nightmare. After three years, it started having double-click problems, and now it's so bad that I can't even close a single tab in Chrome or use a DMR in games. Despite the good five-year service time, I'm considering replacing it. I'm looking at the Logitech G502 X wired, but I'm not confident in this decision. I'd like to try a Razer mouse instead, but I'm unsure which one to pick.
I have been using G502 Hero for 4-5 years now and only in the last 6 months it has started double clicking issue. And I solved that by opening it up and cleaning the metal parts of the switches. It's a rather easy procedure that takes an hour or two at most.
I'd say that's ok. But the mouse buttons themselves have a lot of pre travel on them. If it's the shape you want I'd say the glorious model I or the Basilisk V3 pro would be better.
I just bought x version after 3 years of original and what is problem for me, not mentioned anywhere, left main button is smaller than use to be approx 0.5cm at the front edge. When I click on the left main button, I am touching side button!!! Did not happen with original one.
"The Logitech G502 X Plus hopes to continue on from it's earlier legacy" from its* earlier legacy Also, I'm a little disappointed that you didn't mention the removal of the DPI indicator light, which is IMO a very significant feature and probably the biggest downside of the newer model
Question for my fellow g502 enjoyers. What to upgrade to from g502? I mainly enjoy it for palm grip. I have small hands 16,5cm/9.5cm. I will keep g502x for work but want to try something lighter for gaming. Doesn't matter whether it is wired or wireless. Not interested in g502 clones since I have original. I need my pinkie supported by the mouse (g502 does this well).
Not a single reviewer mentions that it's wider. I have big hands and I didn't know about this mouse until I tried it the other day, it's not bad! Matter fact, I like it more than the Corsair Ironclaw which was the best for big hands a year ago, but the scroll wheel breaks easily on it.

Are you happy with the G502 X Plus?
Had mine for a day now, couple notables:

Such a underrated use case, been using the dpi keys as custom keys for years now, total game changer
I'm a casual gamer and I've used all the extra buttons on the g502 for media cotrol for years now, just pressing the sniper button to pause a video when you want to hear someone talk is such a nice qol improvement
oh my god
Having used the g402 for years I don't think I can EVER use a gaming mouse long terms without those from "DPI" buttons. Always have the foremost one bound to melee and in movement heavy games like halo and apex not having to take my fingers off WASD has gotten me kills more than I can count.
I haven't used the dpi buttons ever, but I did remap them for other useful binds. My absolute favourite thing about this mouse is the hyper scroll whell. Am not buying a mouse without that feature anymore.
I also never thought it was that heavy, but I probably just got used to it tbh.
My only complaint about the RGB on the X Plus is that the Logitech "G" logo isn't RGB as well, it should be
are you even gonna look at the mouse or the screen anyway
I've had my G502 for 6 years and have no idea what you are talking about "sticky" rubber sides. They are worn, but perfectly contoured to my hand like a leather glove - not sticky for me at all. The heavy weight is the real problem, which the new G502x fixes (89g).
I do understand it may be sticky if people have a sweaty hand....?🤔
I bought the plus just to spite you and myself at the same time.
I bought mine (x plus) about 2 weeks ago, and upgraded from the 502 corded version. I like this one FAR better, and I thought the 502 was great. I like the rgb, it’s comfy, light, and highly responsive.

"hopefully getting this x upgrade for Christmas" so, did you get it?
@@ChasseurTueur I did! I’d say the biggest differences are the weight, the scroll wheel, and the texture on the bottom feet makes it feel alottt smoother I love it 🤟🏼
It's a shame it doesn't have a rapid button
the fact that they made a swappable flat button for the side button is great, really one of the only complaints that i had with the previous version.
Holy shit the sheer distance he has to move his mouse to get any sort of movement on his crosshair is painful to watch.
Some people like to torture themselves.
Well that's pro FPS for you, they use very low sensitivities for accuracy and stability.
G402 sliver to global elite@_@ using 6 years+
Got the G502X Lightspeed version in black (my first ever G502) and i'm freakin loving it.
Great review. Is there anything one can do to protect the rubber coating before ever starting to use the mouse? On my old lighspeed it's worn down all the way to the plastic. I'd be happy if there was something skin-safe that could turn the rubber into a hard, resilient surface.
Could probably try grip tape? It’s a popular solution for people that don’t like the coating of mice.
desk fan blowing at your hand will probably be your best bet, i have 2 g502s (wired which i gave to the wife after like 6 years when i got the lightspeed) and neither have rubber peeling
Use overhead grips
the only difference to write home about the g502 x is the new optical switches which should _FINALLY_ be resilient to the double-clicking issues that have plagued their mice for years now.
i've had an optical switch keyboard for about 3 years now and it finally solved chattering compared to normal mx cherry.

While this is sound advice, why would I ever buy the G502x if I already own the Lightspeed?
@@HelloImCrimson for the optical sensors, usb C charging, and swapple "sniper" button (i use mine for PTT) in game. im really tempted to upgrade
What’s a better alternative then?
Basilisk V3 pro is looking pretty spicy
If you bothered to watch the video, he says don't get the plus version and get the non-plus one to save money since the only difference is the rgb.

Can you turn off dpi changing buttons during the game in order not to misclick them?
Can you put another function on sniper button? Like melee/stab?
All of the buttons are customizable and are able to be turned off!!
Do you have any kailh 8.0 switches to compare with the new logitech opticals? How is the weight between the two?

RgB is more reasonable on wired version but it lacks one 😵💫
Still gonna buy it.
The G502 X Plus is simply a more expensive option to push the price of the G502X up while making it seem cheaper at the same time. I forgot the marketing term for this practice, but many companies sadly do this
If you liked the 502 (which is the best id ever used) you will like this one. Its a bit overpriced but is great overall and i would buy it again.
i love the g502 but the X version is way too overprice and way worse than non X version imo. if it way a 30€ mouse why not but it's not

What's that grey geometric mouse pad you're using? Know the brand?
Hystar deskpad. I don't use it for games, just for the purpose of recording videos.
how's the rattle/wobble on the scroll wheel when moving side to side ?
Too late. Bought that already. And I thought I would just be able to turn the rgb off. In part, that’s true, you can just disable lightsync. But the rgb is not completely gone. Whenever I’m away from it, the rgb turns on again, just so it ruins the battery time…
There’s one more thing I don’t get either… I own an MX Anywhere 2S, which also has the “infinite scroll” (hyper fast scrolling) feature, but it works on a different software.
G hub is so dogshit, I'm so disappointed i had to switch from LGS after i got the g303....
I rarely ever had any problem with G Hub profile switching between apps with my G304 and G402.

the g502 was an amazing mouse. you could remap those keys to other buttons like numpad controls on caming profiles and change profiles for like editing or stuff. those dpi buttons are useless so i remapped them everywhere and now i use then all the time. feeling like the 502 x is just a refined version. also can't live with a mouse again now with less buttons hahaha

There is a difference, the pro version has an upgraded sensor and switches. From the looks of it those are the only changes (and wireless obviously)
So if I have the old classic g502 mouse is the sensor or anything make it worth it to upgrade?
Yes, it's a much superior upgrade.

Year late lol but these have optical switches, they literally can't have double clicking issues
Question: does it work with the powerplay mousepad? I am assume I will, but I have found an answer to this question. Thank you!
Yes it does
So my issue with this mouse is unwanted inputs from the scroll wheel.
So with would u pick the X or the lightspeed
Lightspeed
This Vs the new basilisk pro is a verrrrry close one. I adore having a DPI light, and a DPI scroll

What about the G502X Lightspeed?
I'd say that's ok. But the mouse buttons themselves have a lot of pre travel on them. If it's the shape you want I'd say the glorious model I or the Basilisk V3 pro would be better.
Will u test the Roccat Kone XP Air?
Probably.
@@DiamondLobbyReviews would be cool to know your opinion, it’s a nice alternative to the BSK V3 Pro or G502 X Plus :)
How does the shape compares to g703??
I just bought x version after 3 years of original and what is problem for me, not mentioned anywhere, left main button is smaller than use to be approx 0.5cm at the front edge. When I click on the left main button, I am touching side button!!! Did not happen with original one.
In g502 scroll wheel is too stiff to strafe jump in apex. Will it be possible with this one?
Yeah it's fine
"The Logitech G502 X Plus hopes to continue on from it's earlier legacy"
from its* earlier legacy
Also, I'm a little disappointed that you didn't mention the removal of the DPI indicator light, which is IMO a very significant feature and probably the biggest downside of the newer model
So would you say the Basilisk v3 Pro is better than this?
You'll have to wait for the review my friend.
@@DiamondLobbyReviews Alright thanks, do you know when its coming out?
The side dpi buttons i rebound to click or disabled them
I'm ready to buy a new Logitech gaming mouse so what's the best Logitech gaming mouse should I buy?
Depends on your needs, we have a recent video on the channel called 'The Best Mouse for Every Gamer in 2022' that you might find useful
@@DiamondLobbyReviews Ok, thanks a lot :3
Not a single reviewer mentions that it's wider. I have big hands and I didn't know about this mouse until I tried it the other day, it's not bad! Matter fact, I like it more than the Corsair Ironclaw which was the best for big hands a year ago, but the scroll wheel breaks easily on it.
