Did you have any fitment issues? I’m thinking of doing this since it’s more convenient for me after messing up my oem bumper but I heard a lot about people having fitment issues doing this
Question. At 5:05 of the video, you point at the bolt in the upper corner of the frame. I assume it holds the bracket on the side to the bracket on the front underneath the frame. Well the part that holds the screw head in place has stripped, and the screw is no longer fixed in place. You wouldn't happen to know how much of an issue would be to get that fixed?
that screw is part of the Front Fascia Bumper Bracket, check this link of the part as reference www.ebay.com/itm/385669986059?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=g6thyqbkrc6&sssrc=2047675&ssuid=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY you can either remove the whole bracket and put a new one or try to remove the screw that got stripped and plastic weld another one they also sell the brackets separate right or left, aftermarket are arround $15 each but you can get the original parts at your local mopar part store dealer hope this helps
@ed_rt Thank you for the response. I had an idea, but I wanted to make sure that was the part in question. I know they make a sturdy epoxy for plastic and metal parts in cars. That will probably do the trick.
@ed_rt looks like I'm gonna have to replace it. Epoxy won't hold the screw in place. I have done all manner of basic maintenance, so with your tutorial on removing the front bumper to replace it, I shouldn't have a problem. I have the necessary tools, and it would be cheaper than taking it to the dealership. They want 165 dollars just to diagnose it😂
@@countdracula4656 $165 for diagnose! wow, you can get the parts, buy some rivets and even the rivet gun and still be way cheaper, I think you can replace it too 👍
Hey man thanks a lot, I just wanted to share this since long time, it's quite lengthy but I try to capture as much detail as possible so everyone could follow along and remove if they need to one day, it should take about 30-45 minutes
i had a question i cant seem to find the lower fascia support that goes on the bumper reinforcement i need it to hold the bumper on cant seem to locate a name for it on ebay can help
No problem, what I mean is that there is a bumper retainer or support bracket on each side, 8:05 so once you removed all the screws and rivets I showed you, just pull the bumper from them, it just clips off
@@SKoser73 seems to me like it could be that hex nut 5:04 check if the bumper get caught with the treads of that bracket screw also, when I tried to pull it that seemed to hold it, there is not really anything else holding it but those 2 retainers and 4 hex nuts, 2 on each side
I removed those nuts. I meant it still seems to be fastened by something above the side running lamps, turn signal lams, whatever they are. The nut right inside the fender well that attaches to the fender, something on that bracket seems to be stopping me from removing it....
If you mean the plasitc ones that go one on each side you have to replace it for a new one you can try glue them together if you have the pieces but I recommend a new one I actually got a new one becuase mine broke on a impact with that bumper a while back, I will do a quick video about it its easy to replace you just screw them in
Thermal expansion/contraction of plastic is way higher than steel, it also deforms by time. The other issue is the paint. You can not use the same paint on that part of the car! I wonder what the designers were thinking!
Bro what is the black piece above the tire called the piece the rivets go in? The plastic broke so the bumper is loose because I can only screw in 1 rivet lol
You mean the liner? If it's on the wheel well is the liner but the bumper should be held by the 6 main bolts and 2 brackets the rivets help seal the gaps between the liners and bumper, maybe you have a broken braket if the bumper still loose, sent me the picture on my Instagram @ed_rt_hellhound sounds to me like the wheel liner
If you looking for a part number check this 68051424AA but mopar rivets are a little overpriced so You can get some on any hardware store like harbor freight, I used some 1/4 inch ones on a hellcat bumper install ruclips.net/video/9YZxUogCel0/видео.html When I also bought new fascia support brackets for it
There is many places you can get it, I got a hellcat replica bumper from amazon under ikonmotorsports, but you could try searching for a oem bumper on Amazon or ebay
Thanks for the feedback, at that moment in time I was not sure how to go about it so I just let it record what I was doing and make it a follow along video, but thanks for the info, I will consider that on my next mods
Thank you brotha saved my day appreciate you your video was on point 👍🏾👊🏾💯🇺🇸

Top shelf How To. Greatly appreciated.

You can find it as front lower bumper air shield also but the number should lead you to it hope this helps
When you say pull bumper from bracket clips, what exactly are you talking about. I can't seem to find where it's still fastened to....

Ya I’ve tugged I’m it there but something still seems to be fastened still. Seems to be right above the turn signal light....

Where can I find new rivets to replace the old ones?
You can use any brand from any hardware store, some I order from amazon www.amazon.com/dp/B07CJHTMQN/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_SDXNEGCN20SF71X1Y05Z
Would you or anyone happen to know any info on the metal rivets on the facia support brackets?

How to remove the bottom liner of the engine or plastic cover for 2018 challenger
Hit a raccoon last night it completely busted my lower grille. Lucky it was only $36, now to remove and replace lol
Oh man sorry to hear that, I feel you, a road tire broke my grille once, hope this video helps in your process 🤙🙏
Why did the chicken cross the road? @8:55 ....to learn how to remove a Challenger bumper!
😆👍
Why didn't you show behind the bumper and the front end without the bumper in the way. People need to see things with bumper removed.
