Great job guys!!! I own a delivery company and I have my family working for me as well. Having them all around and giving them a career for life is better than a dad could ever ask for.
Greetings from south central BC, thanks for another video. Kudos to all of the folks who worked on this. After a lifetime of working on vehicles, farm equipment and wood working machinery, I can recognize good work when I see it. You all do better than good work. It's a rare thing anymore. Stay well.
A great LOW FUEL WARNING idea would be to get one of the old International “Low Air Wig-Wag Warning Devices” and mount it between where the sun visors would be on the ceiling. (I know you guys could make it work for fuel instead of air). Instead of the wig-wag having “Low Air” or “Stop” written on it, you can change it with either a sticker or paint it to say “Low Fuel”, or “Matt Low Fuel”, or “Low Fuel Matt”. Then when Matt's fuel is getting low (and it will be no doubt🤣),,, the wig-wag will drop down into view reminding him it’s time to fill up before getting too far from the gas station. This would certainly be "Old School International" keeping with the whole look and theme of the project, and it's just fun to see the wig-wag drop down ⛽👍😎
Get one of them super loud air horns for a gas warning plus a flashing light ! Lol. Chad you and your family are simply Amazing at this wiring and fabrication ! One thing that I believe we all forgot about as far as the low fuel warning, now some of you old truckers will remember, that is the old low air warning flag that dropped down in your viewing area above the steering wheel. What a great Low Fuel warning that would make, especially as they also had a buzzer and a red light at the same time.
Great job on Matt's truck I don't think you get enough credit for everything you do for halping other people you are the go to Guy it seems like to fix everyone's projects
The entire wrecker build was/is amazing to watch. Especially Chad's wiring work. My only critique would be this; when the rear-steer auto-centering is disabled, seems like it would be handy for the trigger switch (the one that temporarily disables auto-centering when it is enabled) to temporarily enable auto-centering. Otherwise, the operator would have to turn auto-centering back on just to center the rear-steer.
It's great to see an operation that plans their work and doesn't just do a series of patch jobs. Doing it right the first time often takes a bit longer at the time but saves time and frustrations later. After a career in trucking... downtime is a killer.
