I also started my own pigeon loft a few months ago and I already have 15 pigeons including some babies that just hatched.
I also started my own laughed I have 37 Pigeons
I used to keep pigeons for a few years. One thing I noticed about the babies, handling them consistently isn't always enough. The best thing I found that helps with bonding is doing some hand feeding after they reach 3 weeks or so, around the time their eyes open up. This helps to associate you with food.

I also mix in some red grit (pure grain brand) and you can mix a couple tablespoons of red cell once a month or so .

Nice video! Really like your youngsters. 2 Little tips.... put some pieces of garlic in the pigeons drinking water. Good for their health. And place some minerals and vitamine powder in the loft. They eat a lot of it when they are on youngsters. Good luck!!👍

We're very envious of the young chicks, all running together. We've done them all our lives but only 13 chickens left now. Your pigeons are going well. The Berry`s look like a Currant the leaves will be Shaped like a Maple leaf . I like the Logo . I think the facial change looks pretty good and if you decide to cut more off try shaping the Beard before you cut all of it off . Enjoyed it as always Jordan

Don’t let the babies be in that wet nest they will die make some holes on the bottom at least so the moisture comes out of it if you clean the nests and keep them healthy you won’t ever lose any babies

Just drove through Kansas yesterday going down 27 I think, along with some long back roads. Saw 2 rooster pheasant and a good number of dove. Not many pigeon s.

If it’s hard for you to stand on the ladder up in the ceiling how do you think those little birds feel when they were up there all night and it’s suffocating heat the bird cannot adapt to that heat up in the ceiling plus with all of the bird droppings and the lack of cleanliness

Berries/leaves look like Red gooseberry, are they sour? Make you squint your eyes when you bite into them.
They are a little tart, I wouldn’t say they are sour though
Those young pigeons remind me of buttermilk squab. Those are too pretty for that.😁
On the large clutch size, it might be a thing this year with big animal families. Like 4 moose calves, larger than normal puppy litter, triplets and quads in goats and sheep this year. One sheep guy told me he went from a herd of 14 to 48 because of quads triplets and a set of 5 lambs. My 2 goats kidded 4 and 3. 9 puppies in a litter up a couple from normal 6 or 7. Chicks seem to be hatching pretty good to. 70 chicks out of about 80 eggs. Population explosion. It's a good problem.

Ive been struggling with breeding this spring lots of eggs and they hatch but they don't survive longer than a few days

@@cameronhall6983 what are you adding to your feed I use a feed barn mix that's pretty good variety of seed and peas I had some success with adding peanuts to the mix last year but they didn't have any when I went
Dear Cameron and Smurph, make sure the pigeons are complete healthy when starting breeding. I believe the youngsters could have died from paratyfus. Be very carefull with that disease. Go to a vet to check some birds and their droppings. Good luck

The offspring from the pigeons you bought will stay keep them indoors till they breed 3 batches then release them but monitor thier movements
Do you have those nest in plastic containers up in the ceiling where it has a suffocating affect on top of the birds sitting on the babies and the little birds will not make it one always had to speak for the other and that’s the one that has the most nervousness hi in the ceiling too much heat all emptiness containers you should take down
I found the cook book I forget how many recipes are in it lots of duck recipes and others it's still my take some time I'm 20 miles from postoffice and I don't have transportation of my own to get there right now it's ready to go.

We like the colors. Yesterday I took a dozen sold colored blue and red common pigeons to the caged animal auction. got $4 each for them . then turned around and bought a young pair of Fantails. a white female and black saddle back male. I intend of placing their eggs in the nest of my common pigeons and let them raise the fantails. feed the paid of fantails some chicken egg layer in their feed mix. and try and get the most fantail eggs possible? I think it will work. We had 50 pigeons after the sale of that dozen yesterday we only have two solid blue female pigeons in the flock.the rest are all different colors and some have feathers on their legs.

Now after seeing this vid you answered my ? The Amish and Mennonite way of life is so pure and simple . However you won't find a harder working way of life. Really enjoy your vids !
