Jordan, Liked the pigeon episode. I used to raise Rollers back in the 60's. I know, way before your time. I had only 12. Ha, ha! Had a very small loft. They would fly high into the air and tumble down to about roof height then start all over again. Fun to watch. My age now is 72. I enjoy your videos.

I think whoever was selling them was selling Portuguese tumblers and figuritas which are Both a small breed of pigeon. Figuritas are the smallest breed of pigeon in the world. Very cool pigeons

A good look around the auction, You managed to get rid of your ferals' and bought some good looking pigeons. You must sit out with your 17 and shoot whatever is coming for your geese and ducks! We look forward to the other half of this vid! Your goats look really good but you didn't buy a billy at the auction. Malc has joined the Benelli club. I bought Malc a limited edition Raffaello Accademia semi auto. It's a beautiful gun. Walnut stock and fore end with mallard engravings in silver and gold. Most pigeons you see at those type of sales are the culls from the sellers loft. It is good place for a beginner to start out with. If you want to get good pigeons, get the seller to invite you to his loft and then buy quality not quantity. Can raise more from the good ones you pay a little more for. My favorite breeds were the Birmingham Rollers and Racing Pigeons. Racing pigeons make good feeders to raise the show bird babies. Just have to keep the Racing Pigeons in separate loft because they are a lot stronger than the show birds. I just love pigeons. Unfortunately, I had to give them up because I developed allergy to the dust.
Hey Jordan, you should build a ceiling in the loft @ 7 ft. The birds would become a lot tamer and so much easier to catch. When you chased your birds with a big net like that it makes them really afraid of you plus there is always the risk of breaking the wing or other serious injuries.

A few years back I raised silkie chickens. Terrible egg layers but cool to have around. They are the fuzzy/hairy looking chickens.

Wow, I wish I had an auction like that where I live. I live in cattle country and not even a cattle auction. I really want some pigeons but I still have to wait awhile. So I get my pigeon fix through RUclips. You Tale Care.

The color you are referring to as “grizz” is correctly referred to pied or Piebald. Most often called Pied.

to me Port-Figs sounds like a cross between a Portugese tumbler and a Valencian Figurita
The Breed of the little Pigeons at the market are: Figurita Valenciana from Valancia, Spain

Portuguese tumblers and figuritas the ones with the frill on there chest and more owl shaped head figuritas . Two of the smallest pigeon breeds. Or crosses of the two? Mostly Portuguese tumblers.

Around here roosters are free. Even fancy roosters. I give away gorgeous Dutch Bantam roosters every year and still end up butchering some that no one wants.
I used to have those kind of pigeons. But right now I just breed homie pigeons.
Can't say how much they will be but the order of highest to lowest is, white, pied (high white and normal colors), red, black checks, blue bars.

Ive had bird 14-16 years old still producing babys . Iast old timer i had was a Chinese owl that was 16 raised four babys but i lost him during winter

Are they breading pairs? or just a pair that look the same ? For getting a Rooster you need to go on Craigs list, a lot of people will give them away if they have to many. Cool birds Jordan !

So sorry to hear about losing the goose. It sounds like you have a varment problem, time for a trail cam because as long as the critter can get a easy meal , it will back. Good luck with that new rooster (joking).

Electric fence ,live trap, remove hide area for predators. When you have animals it your responsibility to protect.

Pigeons around here be steady at 4 to 5 bucks. They had some pieds at last sale brought 9 a piece. 77 bucks for a goose! That's crazy. When I take rabbits I have had them go from 20 to 50 bucks quite often.

@@JordansHarvest ya I have had those days before where barely get a buck lol but I been raising rabbits for 18 years so people got to know me and got to see how good my stock is so they pay good for it. I raise champagne d argent rabbits which are a little rare that also helps bring more money. I'm a new sub to your channel and you got me very intrested in starting some pigeons. Keep the good videos coming.

Nice pigeons but I suggest to sell your blues or the ones you are going to trap and buy some good breed such Shirazi ( comes in Black, Red, yellow and Light green) Amiri, Patang. They are good looking and can be sold easily, it looks like are going toward breeding not flying or racing them so breeding good pair is very profitable. Its merely a suggestion other than that, I always watch your videos. Wish you good luck
