Since becoming a pagan and following the Irish pantheon, there is a phrase coined by the Saxon & Heathen pagans in a discord community I’m in that I’ve engraved in myself and my practice:
No frith for folkists (or fascists in general).
Another great video. The gods certainly smile on the great work you and Lora do

I know I'm a month late here but I have watched quite a few of your videos and love the good information you and Lora share. Seeing this video, as a queer heathen of color, made me cry tears of joy and I am immensely grateful you use your platform as not only a vehicle to educate but also to promote tolerance and love. Grateful for you and the work you do ❤

I'm nonbinary, so THANK YOU for this! 🙌 My identity is absolutely tethered to my spirituality, because it transcends my physical existance. It can't be relegated to subtext any more than my altar! 🐍🐍🐍

I was tearing up this morning while scrolling through Lora's IG stories because how lucky am I to have found such great teachers who have such big hearts. This video has only filled me with glee that there are more people with this mindset, all over the world. The comments included. I can't express the fulfillment I've felt since finding the IPS. From Turtle Island to Palestine, we will all be free 🍀

Let me just say that I think it's a wonderful thing that you and Lora do what you do, all that hard work doesn't go unseen or unappreciated. All that you talk about is valid and needs saying and I'm always so glad to see you and Lora standing up to say it.

Thank you for everything you do for us. The hours, the effort, the education, the Saturday craics. Thank you for all of it and more.

You are correct that people don't know enough, and unfortunately many of them don't want to learn or confront their discomfort. I do not always agree with your political opinions but I appreciate how you present your thoughts without attacking others. So many people today are quick to attack those who have different opinions. You're absolutely right about the problem with intolerance in our world. This might be an unpopular opinion but the intolerance and hatred exists on both sides. Both sides struggle with ignorance and refusal to learn better or have an intelligent, informed conversation. Keep doing what your doing and leading by example!

Fantastic video. I don't understand how some CANNOT get riled up when people are marginalized. It goes against my grain to the point that I physically bristle. I'm a cis straight white upper-middle class guy in my 40s in the middle of America. The privilege I was born into is vast. The things I have not had to fight or work for are MANY. The least I can do is to do whatever I can help protect the marginalized. To use my position of societal comfort to remind those of similar standing just how good we have it, just how fucking lucky we are, and to call all bigoted and fascist assholes when they act like bigoted and fascist assholes.
One of the reasons I feel so drawn and called by The Morrigan, i think, is because she is sovereignty goddess. Sovereignty can have to do with kings and rulers and governance, of course. It can also be personal sovereignty, the right to own yourself and not be suppressed or pushed aside. I feel she calls to those who require finding their own sovereignty, and I think maybe she calls to those willing to stand against who would take it from others.
It blows my mind when people have a problem with inclusivity. We are PAGANS, folks. We are already statistically marginalized because we aren't part of the Big Five religions. We have been called down this path for a reason, and if not to help pave a better way for those that have no other place to go, then why even go to the effort?

Jon, I can't tell you how much I appreciate you and Lora. THIS is one of the reasons addressing the neocolonizer patriarchal conditioning and church indoctrination in pagan and/or other spiritual based practices is soooo needed. US ... Americans have sooooooo much to UNpack ... the new age and pagan communities are filled with so much white supremacy toxic capitalist structures

Thank you so much for all that you and Lora do. You all work so hard and I just want you to know that this Irish Pagan truly appreciated all that you have, and do, for your Tuatha. I have learned so much from both of you, and the IPS. I have learned how to better relate to my two daughters, my youngest son, and my 2 nieces who are both in the LGBTQ+ Community because of you sharing about your lives and struggles. You have touched my life in so many ways and I look forward to meeting you in November when you come to the Columbia River.💜 Slán!

I believe the gods would not want us to ignore the struggles people go through, ESPECIALLY the struggle of the native Irish people. If people are uncomfortable with learning about the difficulties Ireland and her people have faced, they don't have to study Irish polytheism. If they don't care enough to consider ALL of humanity, the queer, disabled, poor, and otherwise neglected, I don't think they're going to find any form of the divine that will be particularly happy with them white knuckling their prejudices trying to speak for them.
I greatly appreciate y'all's open, honest, and firm support of those that are swept under the rug. I see it as a direct reflection of the gods in you both. Thank you

as a trans person who has been at this for a while now and has left more than one Gaelic/Celtic pagan community over the years after getting into arguments with their higher ups over gender essentialist ideals (not to mention all the racist bs that i remember that didn't affect me personally), i really appreciate you speaking so passionately about this. anyone who thinks that this kind of open discussion doesn't belong in our religion needs to learn more about pagan history and see just how many religions have been created for exactly the opposite of what you're trying to achieve in this community.
many of us have been trying to fight back against the troubling elements of paganism for decades with so little reach that it feels a little like yelling into the void sometimes. knowing you and Lora won't back down about this gives me hope.

Thank you for this, as a trans woman and a lesbian with a black wife here in the US, it’s getting nerve wracking here and has been for a while, it means the world that you’re sticking to your guns on this despite ignorant people. I also applaud your ability to stay calm with all of this, I definitely struggle with that these days 😅.

I don't feel like every video is for me. I choose not to watch them and move on. I would never expect the IPS to not make videos on those topics. I don't have to put down the people who find those topics important. A person doesn't even have to grow to stop harming others

thank you, from the bottom of my queer trans little heart. i just want to say, these conversations happening here? is a large part of why i started spending time here years ago, and still remain. they are a Necessary conversations to have. so again. thank you.
mini rant in the general direction of those who are "but i don't want to hear about how other people live crowd"
the "i don't want to hear about anyone who's not living Just like how i like it" crowd tends to become the "taking other people's rights away " crowd Real Quick. someone you know, personally, is reading your words and knowing you're not a safe person to be vulnerable with as a human being, because well. they know you will not be ok with Who They Are at a fundamental level. its heartbreaking. end/rant.

while i do wish you'd used he/him pronouns for James, I am so grateful to hear cis people reinforcing and affirming that James was trans and he deserves to be seen as such in death. He went to jail rather than allow anyone to know his assigned sex, and i can imagine it would make him sick to hear how many people misgender him and use a literal MADE UP female name (not his birthname) over his literal identity and the name he died with.
it is also really wonderful to hear it reaffirmed how welcoming and kind this space is to gender divergence, and it means a LOT to me.
thank you for defending James from that terf

anyone curious about the made up name, someone wrote historical fiction about him and made up a dead name for him and wrote it from the perspective of someone "forced" into that role (which we know he objectively wasn't). THAT stupid name is used everyone online for him now, and it's entirely fiction
