Ok I literally just deposited the check 2 days ago. I don’t know what to do now to get out. I tryed to buy the card was able too because the check had to fully deposited. What do I do now to get out of the scam. Please help
Hi Samantha! Definitely just block the number. A person's name and address are pretty easy to access online, so it's unlikely that you are being targeted specifically. I would guess that the scammer is targeting a list of names and addresses that they obtained. I highly recommend contacting your financial institution on the best next steps given that you deposited the check 5 days ago. In the meantime, don't spend the money deposited from that check (if they released those funds to you already) because you financial institution will pull those funds back once the check bounces. Make a report to an officer and your bank.
