- Recently, I've been developing a lot of confidence fishing the slick lure.
Not only is it a killer way to target big fish on Florida's nature bend, it design and fish ability transcend state lines.
Take a look at this little video I put together and watch Mr. Joey catch a thick 25.5"! Enjoy
Hi Keith, thanks for the video. We are moving to the big bend this week. Thanks for telling me about the slick lure. Good luck in the March Pensacola Speckled Trout Club tournament next weekend!
Would live to see a video on how to work the lure and conditions like you said at the beginning of your video thanks
Saw a pack of these in my local bait shop, and almost bought them just because of the phrase on the front "cant catch em on the sofa" lol. I'll have to give them a shot soon.
I love it... My personal best is 27" out of Texas City, Texas last year
Captain Joe's Angling Adventure's PB cane on a Slick Lure?
Good fishing💪💪💪Like👍👍👍👍👍👍
about time for a bigger boat net ;)
Ben Hudson :)
Love the truth
Any retail -outlets in Houston carry them? They look like some plastic's that were being made by one of Paul Brown's grandkid's (I think his name was Jason), but they didn't have the belly slit. I've been using Tobin's "Trout Support" plastics rigged exactly the same with some good luck down in Baffin Bay. I do however like the tail on this bait, hopefully can find some locally?
David M unfortunately there aren’t but you can order them online and he’ll ship wherever
The Slick (Length: "SLICK & LIL SLICK are 4.75″ long") appears to be a Paul Brown Devil body ("Length: 4-7/8" ") rigged on a swimbait hook vs. the Devil's suspending twitchbait rigging. How do these two compare (action) in the water? The Slick definitely wins in the weedless configuration. Not sure if the plastics used between the two are the same for similar/identical action.

David Russell for all intensive purposes this is a Devil without the hardware. They actually used to be called nothings but the plastic was very hard and it didn’t have a belly slot. The slick Lure has those modifications (belly slit & more pliable plastic for better Hookset)
Overall it’s a great Lure with very similar fishability than a Corky devil to include sink rate and profile
@@speckledtruth4577 Thank you for the info. Definitely a bait work trying out!
What color is that slick?
Cool beans
Sooo it’s a Corky devil rigged weedless......🤔
