Taking a friend to the coast who’s never gone saltwater fishing this weekend in hopes of putting us on a few fish! as a novice myself your videos have helped immensely just in the past few hours of watching them. We plan on fishing the surf and later in the day going deep with some Cut baits. Your videos are well done and you are a great videographer. Hope your page blows up, it really Deserves it. Tight lines!
I haven't viewed your channel in probably 2 years. WOW, have you grown as a RUclips host. Great video!! It's probably been 10 years since I have fished the Bolivar flats but this video has given me the bug to get back there. Thanks for the great video.
I dont think the bag, a stringer, or the net ring makes a difference really. Whatever you use, it will put the fear of God in you when get yanked down in the water by a shark hitting your stringer.
No need for an egg wash... season the fillets (or shrimp), flour them, mix some of the leftover flour w/ milk and that is the wash. Panko and Zatarain's Southern Crispy my go-to breading. Been doing that for years. If you want to get fancy, use butter milk, it's better than an egg wash (restaurant trick). Cheers 🤠
Simple baked sliced pecan zucchini ... use your same mixture.. add teaspoon of baking powder to flour.. preheat oven before you fry fish.. bread zucchini first and put in oven while it's preheating to 375.. By the time your fish is ready take both out of oven at same time... should be about right. Don't crowd zucchini. If zucchini is not browned some, leave another 5 minutes or so as fish cools..
I see you fish with waterloos. Keep those older ones. Looks like they changed all their blanks to Phenixs (except the salinity and phantom), which dont feel as good as the old ones and are imported blanks now
Been wading twice once in the surf and once at the dike could you do like an informational video, I would like to get better and learn tips on being out there as I make more trips ?
Which top water lure are you using there what size and what is the size of jig head you used with paddle tail in the starting and is that a down south lure
I don't know how yall do it. I make 3-5 trips a year to the surf, have waded bolivar pocket many times, and have caught probably 5 trout in the last 10 years. I can't catch a surf trout to save my soul but can smack um at the jetties.
After beryl the coast has been FLOODED w trout. We hit the Galveston jetties last Saturday, glass water, green water, perfect conditions. Caught minimum 50 trout, release all of them. Great time to fish is after storms
Can the treble hooks be changed out to circle hooks in the top water lure? Also I always have coleslaw that I cut up shrimp and put in it with my fried fish

Next time you do redfish on the half, make some fried cabbage and sweet conbread.

Jesus Christ died so that we would be free from the punishment of sin. Turn to God and give your problems to him.

Do you like roasted Brussel Sprouts or Asparagus? Some roasted sweet potatoes would be good to.
Is this on the Chrystal beach side of the Bolivar or Galveston side?
