Great video. I have a pair of shimano flats wading boots. I love them. I fish the nature coast which has tons of oyster bars. I walk all over and around them with confidence. The Vulcanized rubber soles are incredible.
there's a nice sandbar just around the corner from where you were fishing that holds a lot of fish..also the dock/flats across from the boat ramp at Tampa Bay Watch hold a lot of fish
Joe, I wear a fanny pack as a sling pack when I wade fish. I think I've seen Wader Dave do the same thing. I tighten the strap a little so the pack stays even higher out of the water, so I can get into deeper water. Just wanted to mention it in case you or anyone else wants to try it.
I use a sling pack. Something I learned for carrying my camera gear. You can slide the sling to in the front and access what you need. Mine has multiple pockets and molle loops to on lots of stuff. Never catch me with a fanny pack.
Salt Strong thanks guys, one more question, how can you tell where the drop offs or troughs are? You guys are great, love all your helpful videos, Happy Hawaii Dan cane aboard , Need some Long Island fishing Tips , Stay Safe 👍🙏🙏
uh yes. you absolutely wet the knot before you tighten it... whoever said not to is completely wrong. if you don't wet the line before you tighten it, it will burn the line and become weak
Good video because there are too few videos on wade fishing in the intercoastal but when you mentioned Ron DeSantis's name his record on the environment is just sub-par at best and spoiled it for me. Florida is in a terrible environmental situation and Ron DeSantis should be putting this at the top of his agenda instead of staying silent amid rumors of his contending for the 2024 Presidency.
Sling packs are the way to go for me. Best of both worlds between fanny pack and backpack. also attaching rod holders to either comes in very handy
It’s amazing the knowledge you guys bring to us fellow fishing man/ladies, thank you for all the amazing tips . Be safe ,tight lines.......
Thanks for making time to leave the nice comment Paul!
Going wade fishing for first time with a fly fishing buddy...i dont fly fish. Was worried about how it would go so thanks for putting this up!
This is amazing! Love wading videos!!
Glad you like them!
Great to see you fishing ! Even if I have not been out for a while, salt strong keeps the fishing drive string! Keep safe thx

actually, just to the right of where you were at the bridge is the sand bar
That area is so fun to fish... large variety of places to fish and species to catch.

Thanks for sharing the helpful tip Adam!

Great tip! Thanks for sharing it.
I know I’m late watching this video. Great vid. What’s the best way to use salt strong site(I’m a member) for wade fishing?
The painting was a gift Todd, I'm keeping it..... I call it celebration, It's sexual and violent.
LOL!!
Haha!!!
You guys are very lucky, here in Victoria, Australia we are not allowed, the other start are just not Vic, and I think the fine is $1,600 😩
Must have just missed you guys, we were out in the kayaks out in front of the spot you were wading at.
How cool!
Have you guys had any luck at the 4th st fishing pier? I’m new to Florida from Pa and have been fishing there from shore. Gotta try wading
Looking back now... how stupid were these rules
It’s honestly so weird to think that we even went through that
What rod & reels were you guys using? Great video also 👍
I was using a 7'6" Bull Bay Stealth Sniper rod with a 2500 Quantum Smoke reel
Joe was using a 7'6" TFO Pro rod with a 3000 Daiwa Fuego LT reel.

Would a 4000 reel be Overkill when Wade fishing
Now I know the real reason why slam Shady is sold out on the website. they're all in your backpack !😩
Haha!!!
What part of Florida are y’all fishing?
St. Petersburg, FL
Free lure site won't let me enter my email, says it is not a legit email, it is. WTH

too much fluff and not enough fishint
We've got plenty of on-the-water videos! This was to show others how to effectively fish a flat while wade fishing!
6 feet is for the birds not fishermen
